I'm a Scorpio, and a long time buddy of mine is Gemini. Are the gems going through some kind of heavy ordeal/finding themselves thing as of late, or are scorp and gem just a bad match in general?

The sign I understand the least is quite possibly gems. Sometimes it's going months without us hanging together at all, and it's always the same superfical crap (to me at least) when we do. I sometimes just want to call him and ask him what's the deal here. It's like we really don't understand each other at all, yet we always keep in touch with weeks, months, even years in between, because we grew up together.

Don't want to sound too melodramatic here, but this is starting to bother me for real.. I have few friends, but I get along with them all very well. I don't like to pretend I'm best friends with acquaintances. I for one completely understand and respect that certain people are just too different from one another almost to even grab a beer together, because the real communication/chemistry/understanding between one another is practically non-existent, but I don't want to seem like an ******* by telling him so. I know many people try to hold on to what they got, but it's just too meaningless and superficial to me, no matter how long I've known him (well, I don't think I really do). And oh, btw, I'm 22 and he's 23, and he's acting like he's my mother because I don't have a father or something like that. Great.

+ like 6 planets is in retrograde in his chart (is that a bad thing?). Have his chart stored on astro.com, but I'm not enough into astro charts to compare mine with his.

Yeah, I agree about the erratic part. Also about common interests. Whenever we get together again for whatever reason, I always try to make it not shallow by keeping in touch in a normal manner afterwards. When that's suddenly not working as expected, I tend to get irritated and just forget about it in a typically cool/cold way by doing the exact opposite of keeping in touch...

Well. From now on I'm just going to try and keep in touch more than two times a year and see what happens..

Interesting for sure. It's at times like these I wish I knew more about astrology than just the basics.

I was thinking today (I'm feeling very thoughtful today, must be the moon in Libra).. In a way there's a world above the water and one beneath. Two distinct places with different rules of behaviour. Some are from the deep, and some roam the sky and surface.

I'm naturally from both worlds (more or less), and is to a certain degree aware of how "astrological beings" from both elements think and behave. I realised earlier that some deep-water creatures and surface skimmers (thanks to 23 for that phrase) who's not into astrology, actually do not know how the inhabitants from the world beyond think and behave.. Or might not even know of its existence nor its customs (as in not knowing about the difference between these signs, or any sign for that matter).

Because of that, they are therefore going to go around (perhaps for the rest of their life) basically presuming that everyone else is thinking and feeling the same way as they do. Kinda like within the same parameter as them.

And that thought is.. Well.. Provoking my thoughts.

Btw, the reason I started thinking about it was because my mother also have Aqua moon (Sag sun & Libra rising).. So I figured that have to be the reason why we rarely get along.
