knowflakes,

what should i look for in a person's chart to explain why they are prone to accidents? is this "cureable", if yes how? is this a Mars thing? there is this person i would like to help to put a stop to what looks like a cycle of accident-proneness so any input from you will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

In an effort to predict the occurrence of work-related accidents and to provide further perspectives to accident prevention, astrological patterns in work injuries were examined. Statistical results indicate that there are distinct periods of time when individuals are more accident prone. These periods involve hard aspects from the transiting Sun to the Sun's position at birth. The study included 1023 injured people who filed a Workers' Compensation claim and were disabled for at least three months. It was hypothesized that people tend to suffer accidental injuries significantly more frequently around the time of their birthday, three months before or after, or six months after their birthday. The research hypothesis was supported with a high degree of statistical significance. It provides support for some of the basic concepts of both Western Astrology and Jyotish (Vedic Astrology).. ."

Apparently in my chart I am supposed to be accident prone or have bad luck with mechanical things. I have Mars square Uranus. I haven't been in many car accidents and I'm pretty good with some mechanical things....

Mars square Uranus may be a very good indicator ...

blue moon and ID thanks for the replies.

After a bit of research, I can now answer my own question.

The guy i was talking about has Mars square Jupiter.

"This configuration indicates that you are accident-prone because of your reckless disregard for safety measures. You tend to act impulsively, not taking time to consider whether any danger is involved." - astrologyweekly.com

ID, i also read somewhere that people with Mars-Uranus aspects (conjunct, square, inconjunct, opposition) COULD be accident-prone.

Yeah Mars for accidents sounds fine. I guess look at which house Aries is placed and that will say something about the area where accidents are likely to happen.

I got Aries on the 3rd. Almost sliced my fingers off and still got the scars. My brother was in a car accident. My sister was also in a car accident, while I was in the car.

I have walked into a few lamposts, but not sure where that would show in the natal
I kid you not.

I natally have mars in 3rd/gem - lots of cuts on hands.

And the day I had t-mars squ n-ura and t-ura squ n-mars was the day I got a nasty cut on my finger which I still have the scar for.

Otherwise, look for hard aspects to the sun maybe. They say those with hard sun-ura aspects are a bit prone to the old accident. And whether its clumsiness (eg like Kick It and me - I also walk into things), look for bloody Jupiter.

I agree with deuxantares on Mars/Uranus stressful aspects.

I also think Uranus in the 12th or the 6th might also be a contributing factor.

Yes, when I had t-ura squ mars, t-ura was in my 12th and mars natally in 3rd - hence cut.

I have a lot of minor domestic accidents, usually done during food preparation - burns (and some cuts) to my fingers and hands usually. Or burning water splashing on to me somehow. I have a few little scars from that... Mars in the fourth house.

I have broken my arm by falling off my bike... dislocated my knee when I was jumping down off a chair after trying to remove a spider from the window... and did some weird major long-term recovery bad stuff to my back a year ago lifting heavy grocery bags (long story), I'm 95% good now though. Basically the vertebrae got put all out of whack, from top to bottom but mostly upper thoracic (that is where my remaining 5% discomfort is, should be gone soon though!)... the back injury happened when transiting Mars opposed my natal Pluto. What I'm noticing is that these major injuries all involve my bones... I have no Capricorn in my chart, but I do have a Saturn t-square with Jupiter and Pluto?

I've heard it said that being accident-prone means you aren't firmly grounded/don't have a strong base chakra. In which case, developing your base chakra should help??

Inner depths, i also have Mars in 8th square Uranus, and since i was little i had been told by my astrologer mother that i have to be careful with accidents.

the worst one was when i got hit by a train when i was 8, but i haven't had a real major stuff since then (PHEW thank god!). but i AM prone to small accidents, like twisting ankle on stage to hitting and splitting my jaw a bit, falling off a bike etc. etc, but more like bruises and a bit deep cuts are my major injuries, nothing that serious. but i guess i AM a bit more accident prone than others. i hope it'll stay minor ones though, really!

I have sun opp saturn and have broken a few bones myself, so I guess that's where saturns influence comes in. Saturn is also squ ura (out of aspect though and wide) but semi-squ my mars in my natal chart.
