Hello, I've been giving this aspect some thought lately and was just curious to know if anyone has had interesting experiences with it...along with other strong harsh pluto contacts. It seems to have a very strong karmic relation to situations, from attracting very intense and life changing experiences(almost like you must fight your way out)...to even having people react strongly and violently towards you sometimes even without provocation. It brings just as much bad as it does good it seems. Your views and thoughts?

Hey, I'm sorry, i dont know much about it, although i have a dear friend with this aspect, and she has certainly attracted some unprovoked violence in her life, but, then, Mars is in her 7th house. I just wanted to say, that, like all such aspects, the signs and houses are relevant, as well as any aspects touching either of these two planets. If, say, there is a positive (or "easy") aspect to one of them, then, the aspected planet, whatever it is, will provide a sort of vent and escape route, where the Mars-Pluto energies may be able to find expression. A hard (some say "difficult" or "dynamic") aspect like this may actually create enough pressure to make another, otherwise insignificant, planet much more important in the horoscope. For instance, lets say that Pluto is sextile Neptune, and Neptune is not strongly placed or aspected by any other planet. Although it is not strong placed or aspected, Neptune may indeed play a prominent role in the chart (and in the psychology of the individual), because it is, in a sense, activated by the powerful energies of the Mars-Pluto square. I hope that helps some.

luv and light -- where did you post it? If you posted it here in the Astrology part of the forum, and if it had nothing to do with astrology, it may have been moved to another forum.

I have the opposition, it is at 0 degree orb.

I'm a "live and let live" kind of person, I don't attack, but I defend myself with all I have. I'm quite a bit scared by this aspect, especially since Saturn is involved in it.
The 3 malefics making stressful aspects to one another, what could a girl want more from her birth chart?

Hey thanx you guys for responding...yea not to many other women I know have this aspect, but I do think that men probably handle it differently than women though(with its brusque quality). When it all comes down to it...its really all about learning to harness the energies for the better.

Mars in Cancer, Pluto in Libra, right? From what houses? 1st-4th or 12th-3rd?
May I ask what is your personal experience with it and how you managed to turn it into something positive? I'm still struggling with it. At times I think I have it under control, but then there comes a person who brings out the devil in me . I have Mars in Aries, in the 3rd, and Pluto also in Libra in the 9th.

My Mars is in 1st house(Cancer), square Pluto in 4th house(Libra)...it took me some time to control the brashness in me, which use to come out at the drop of a hat, overreacting to things that I really shouldn't. It does show even when your trying to hide it, and people do pick up and react to it whether you want them to or not. Its mainly patiences and learning to calm yourself, and channeling the energy into something constructive(which i know at times can be all to destructive). Going out and doing physical activities to quench that energy real does help. Excersise, dancing, sports, mabe even kick boxing. And since this aspect seems to carry a strong libido to it, finding a good energetic boyfriend/lover in the bedroom really helps take the edge of things

Hmmm... so you're having it in your personal houses. This is probably why you focus on channeling energy into something positive. You feel like you can do something about it. In my case, I feel it's a bit out of control. I was put in all sorts of situations when I had no control over the situation and I had to react. If it would be just about me, I wouldn't have a problem with this aspect, I could handle it. But people being violent towards me, manipulating me, violating my privacy, trying to spy on me, rape me etc - this is my problem.
I am scared of this aspect and what it could do in the future. I am also scared of my reaction to it.
I think it's one of the worst aspects to have.

I have a Mars(6th House/Cancer)-Pluto(9th House/Libra) transit. But it's in a opposition. Is it the same as a square transit?

It's like I have a bitter life that seems to be rough. Where I live seems to be the most hostile environment and the most agitated place I ever been. Sometimes it's the people themselves who are hostile and violent...but not in towards my direction.

The Mars-Pluto transit can give people nightmares (so does Moon-Pluto [square] which I also have) about people being yelled at or receiving negative glares who don't agree to the life they molded into. When they wake up hours later, they don't want to work because they believe that many workers/supervisors don't respect the life you live and they want to forcefully mold you into something you don't want to be.

"I want to live the life I created. I don't want nobody controlling my destiny but myself. If they don't like my persona that I created, that's their problem. Not mine."

I am sorry that has happened to you((huggs)) it is a ****** aspect to have I feel you on this one...I to in the past have incidences where I've been stalked before, threatened for no reason, and almost sexually assaulted by someone I thought was suppose to be a 'friend'. So yea it one that needs quite abit of caution... Perhaps its a certain vibe it carries with it but whatever it may be its certainly not one to be envied. But I've coped with it and tried to make the best of it..what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I do firmly believe this.

Hank,
I didn't understand what you meant. The Cancer Mars - Libra Pluto is a square. Transiting Mars is in Leo. Do you mean transiting Pluto is opposing your natal Mars and squaring natal Pluto? You must have them in early degrees then. Perhaps you could post your chart?
I also live near mean people, who are mean on purpose and without reason.

Libraschoice,
I agree with what you said. I too believe it can make us stronger. Right now I am living through a bit of personal hell and it is hard to look on the bright side.
I also had stalkers. My first boyfriend recently reapeared. I haven't seen him in almost 6 years, since I broke up with him because he became violent. He threatened to come back one day and ruin my life. He called a few days ago, acting like it was wrong number, but I recognised his voice. I changed my phone number, e-mail adresses, everything after I broke up with him and he still managed to contact me.

One thing I noticed about my aspect is that I usually express one of the planets. If people become violent towards me, I get out of the situation by manipulation, I don't become violent myself. If on the other hand they are secretely trying to hurt me and I discover it, I become very aggressive. In that moments, there is nothing anyone could say to me to calm me down, I am mad with fury. I am very fond of my privacy and when people intrude it, they can expect to hear my Aries Mars roaring.

Ah, a friend of mine has this, but what can't be ignored is that the Sun Conjoins Pluto. In Virgo. In the 12th. Would do anything for anyone. As he told me, he is terribly insecure. This is the crux of how this works out. Square Mars works out mainly self-destructive, and people get fed up with this. Of course other elements on the chart get thrown in to make up the whole.

It seems wrong on the chart of a gentle person and I am sticking with mainly self-destructive on this one ~ though I don't doubt with some beer in his belly and the wind in the wrong direction things could get a bit nasty. But that is like plenty of people about. Can't abide his father, for his behaviour towards his mother. He is intractable on this one, so there is definitely some steel inside.

"Although transiting Pluto is often associated with such things as separation and deaths, it is important to note that Pluto's action is to revolutionize parts of ourselves, and events that take place at this time can just as easily be new relationships, births, and new beginnings in general."

http://www.cafeastrology.com/plutotransits.html

There's no point deluding ourselves that bad things don't happen but a bit of perspective does help.

Pluto crossing my ascendant and squaring Mars (as Mars Squares Ascendant within seconds natally) corresponds with the time I left home and went to live abroad. I had to check that up in an ephemeris so that shows that this didn't leave psychological scars.
