Does anyone else feel that compared to Pisces, Cancer people actually have a warm quality?

Pisceans usually strike me as a little bit cold. Maybe it has to do with their "deep introspection of character", in the same line with Aqua and Scorp. They just seem to be much more reserved except in rare cases. For example, Rihanna... her voice has such a cold quality to it.

I have a new appreciation for Cancers. Princess Di immediately comes to mind. Even Meryl Streep can't play a hard-hearted character, as proven in her role of Miranda in Devil Wears Prada. I read the book, and thought she did not have that mean quality that Miranda should have.

Thoughts, anyone?

as i see other fellow pisces and cancers:

this might be a strange source to rely on in the first place as aren't their images tailored to make the most..money? lolz. JK. may be not the most money but tailored to some image that their agency/label want them to. (so is...the music unless they are song writers-singers)

anyways, for Pisces artists, check out Keren Ann for MUCH softer voice than Rihanna. you might find it more comforting but she still sounds kinda...depressing, pure in a lonely way etc...another prominent example is James Blunt...his songs are so confusing and also kinda depressing to me. Pisces in bands: most named example is Kurt Cobain. yea, you know him...don't forget Chris Martin, lead vocal from Coldplay as well. He's the Pisces male singer i like the most so far. check out 'yellow' 'swallow in the sea'...

to sum up, i actually find warm-hearted voice and peace more in music from Cancer and Taurus men! Cancer ladies...cant think of one.

Lead singer from Augustana, Lifehouse, such warm and sweet songs written and sung by them. Jason Mraz's songs are always my ring tone lolz. Taurus men: Jack Johnson, you can listen to him all day...

*NOw from personal experience: cancer men are as standoff-ish as pisces men. cancer girls i met split into 2 types: one who loves to get attention from EVERYBODY, more competitive and manipulating and one who is content with her one and only, warm and pure compared to the first. Both are pretty caring but i notice they don't take initative in going all the way to help others. the ones who took initative are normally...Virgos, Cap and us Pisces. okay, dont get worked up, this is purely personal experience. Taurus girls are also divided. one girl is really determined and steady with concern towards others and another is also determined and steady with concern towards..herself (late for meetings always, no show, no call, no help etc) Same thing with Virgos. One is like mother of all, another is like a spoiled princess who only asked after everything is done.

AFTERALL , YOU CANT TELL THE ABSOLUTE FACT ABOUT A PERSON BASED ON THE SUN SIGN alone, even with the whole chart it also matters how one was brought up, how old one is, how much has one grown....

Cancers seem to have an need to reach out others, which is fine, although my own Aquarian self views that as intrusive, especially when it's not requested. NOTHING irks me more than the way some Cancers want to touch you, even though they don't know you. Boundaries! Boundaries!

From my Aqua point of view, Cancers tend to seem very affectionate, but in a fussy, busy-bee and superficial way. It's like they have to make a show of how much they care. That's just not my style.

Actually , i liked Meryl and i felt the movie was quite wholesome so i never read the book .
but as you say , another comparison comes to mind - the two action heros - Slyvester and Arnold .
Both are terrific at their depictions but Sly can never be as mean as Arnold and say ' I'll be back' .

i can't really say of the pisces men but i think pisces woman seem to be more warm even to strangers but cancers can be equally or more warm once they know you .

Triplepisces, you should check out the Pisces singer in Elbow, Guy Garvey. Excellent songwriter and voice. He's my favorite Pisces singer of the moment.

Hence why I said "some Cancers." This has been largely my own experience with Cancers, but I don't presume my experience applies to all Cancers.

I've had several Cancer friends over the years. I think my Pisces ascendant attracts them, and my Aqua-Virgo nature tolerates them, to an extent. There's always some point where I have to cut them out of my life. On big problem I've had with my Cancer friends is their attempts to mircomanage other people's lives. They start by being helpful, and then they just take over. I've learned from my Cancer friends that I have to be to be very careful about accepting their assistance with anything - that seems to give them a sense of entitlement to start telling you how to live your life. And once they think that's OK, it's impossible to reset your boundaries with them.

Another problem I've had with Cancer friends is they gossip. I know this is suppose to be a Gemini trait, but I come from a family of Geminis. Gossip in considered a big no-no in my family. Since my family has a strict, unwritten law against gossip, I was pretty naive when I was younger about how other people gossip, even about their friends. I've been badly hurt by how some of my Cancer friends have gossiped about me.

Mercury2008: I can see your point. I'm an Aqua too, but I'm desperate for the type of affection you say Cancers are capable of, superficial or not. This world is so cold.

Cancerrg: I believe that ideally, Miranda should be just like Anna Wintour (Scorpio). Meryl Streep doesn't even come close! IMHO
I like the movie, but when I watch it I can't help but observe Meryl's face as if expecting her to burst into laughter at any moment. She just can't portray a B***h!

They are the most loving couple I know.

In the recent past, they have recognized the signs of depression in me, and have done all in thier power to boost my spirits. And it has worked.

They have taken me on shopping trips, given lectures about life, basically everthing I needed to be reassured of, they have done. They give me money (I'm a full time student and a single-mom). Even bought me a laptop for school purposes, when my mom decided to spend the money on bailing my Leo sis out of jail instead.

They see the purpose of what I am doing and encourage me soooo much. I'm so grateful to have them in my life.

They don't expect anything in return, only that I visit them in an old-age home one day.

I love my aunt and uncle. I wish they had been my parents.

Cancer and Pisces are loyal to the core. They may be a bit overbearing, but the love and devotion they show is worth it.
