"We enter a profound 25 day period starting on Monday as Mercury and Neptune station to move retrograde in Gemini and Aquarius respectively. Mercury and Neptune are stationing in an air trine aspect to each other suggesting profound cooperation with each other as they turn retrograde in the sky less than half an hour apart. We are going to be awash with communications that ask us to evaluate our beliefs that we hold about ourselves. Mercury and Neptune are both gently aspecting the North Node of Destiny in Aquarius describing our path, our hopes, wishes, dreams and our future. Mercury and Neptune are both aspecting Chiron in Aquarius suggesting our tribe and our soul wound are open for inspection and further healing. Mercury and Neptune are both aspecting Jupiter in Capricorn requesting that we make adjustments and watch for blind spots in our ability or desire to build on our sense of connection, community and relations. Mercury and Neptune are both aspecting Uranus in Pisces and pushing us forward, asking us to take constructive actions and value our skills to support our unique version of evolution, change and chaos. Mercury and Neptune are both aspecting gently Ceres in Gemini saying we will be facing choices, choice, choices. Choose with love. And don’t forget Chiron stationed a few days earlier, on May 23, to go retrograde setting off the same planets in the same manner.

As you can see, the virtual simultaneous stations of Chiron, Mercury and Neptune means that Finger of God formed in the sky as well as all the planets in the 20 to 24 range in your individual chart are up for very interesting action over the next 25 days.

The heavens, in their infinite wisdom, added a unique cosmic twist to this particular Mercury retrograde. And it is a big twist indeed! Right now, Mercury is in charge of just about every planet in the sky, either directly or via his rulership. That means this is going to be a super DOOZY of a Mercury retrograde. Our Gemini and Virgo friends will be particularly hard hit with trickster energy. However, Capricorns and Aquarians will definitely feel the impact of Mercury’s retrograde as Saturn is in Virgo, ruled by Mercury. The Gemini Sun, Ceres and Venus are each ruled by Mercury going retrograde ~ affecting our Leo, Taurus and Libra friends. Mars, currently in Leo, listens to Gemini Sun and will be affected by Mercury’s retrograde, to have trickster energy impact all Aries and Scorpios. Jupiter, in Capricorn, answers to Saturn ruled by Mercury going backwards and will impact or affect the Sagittarians and Pisces. Essentially, the ONLY sign NOT impacted by the Mercury retrograde is Cancer ~ but the Moon is going to be rolling through all the signs that ARE impacted so they are going to be super busy running around taking care of the rest of us!

So every planet in the heaven, except the Moon, is taking orders or some form of instructions from Mercury going retrograde, in trine to Chiron, the North Node of Destiny and Neptune. Mercury is also out of bounds so he’s not following “the rules” (not that he follows the rules unless he wants to any way) making him a bit wild and out of control. Additionally, there is only one planet in a water sign in the sky now ~ Uranus in Pisces. Most of the planets are in air signs, with the rest split between earth and fire. That means our emotional sensitivities will be extra heightened as we seek to fill the absence of that missing water element.

Finally, there is a Hammer of Thor ~ which can be as nasty as it sounds ~ with Juno and Uranus square to each other and using Mars in Leo as the handle of the hammer. Hammers of Thor are two planets in square to each other and sesquiquadrate to a third planet ~ the handle. Like Thor’s Hammer of myths, these planets ~ Juno and Uranus, will bang away at issues, steel, rocks, souls, us, the other guy, whatever stands in the way, to get the needed changes made. Hammers of Thor make Fingers of God look like child’s play ~ and Princess Diana‘s and Christopher Reeve‘s accidents were Fingers of God, not Hammers of Thor. Juno is in charge of weddings, relationships, partnerships and marriages while Uranus is about splits, separations, changes and severing ~ so relationships that split up over the next few weeks are probably done for good ~ even if we normally would say Mercury retrograde might offer hope for reconciliation. The stuff that comes out over the next few weeks will make it impossible to go back to the old way of thinking, believing and doing things.

The changes will be permanent and fairly irreversible. My Pisces Moon prevents me from saying completely irreversible but there are moments of truth that forever alter how we see things. That kind moment of truth will happen under this Mercury retrograde. We’ll face those kinds of situations. My advice is to move on. Move along. Or make plans to move on. You don’t have to quit your job this very second but do know that they are never going to promote you. You don’t have to break up with them right now but it probably isn’t going to be the relationship you want it to be. You get the idea. Thank it, them, him, or her for the learning experience. Send them lots of love. Bless them. And prepare to move on. You are ready for the next thing. You are ready for the real thing. The real thing that fits your soul better. Honest. Say it out loud ~ Next! Put a big smile on your face.

Remember, ALL the planets in the sky are participating in this Mercury retrograde! All the planets, and Thor’s Hammer included, are trying to get you to see something and evolve to the next chapter of your next life. Think of it as the hard labor right before the baby shows up ~ the crowning of the new you so to speak. They are all sending you messages so you can figure out what to do with your life in chapter next! You are giving birth to you. And No, giving birth is not always easy but it does mean there is a new life right around the corner.

So where is our solution? Well, the heavens suggest we work with the quintiles, sextiles or trines to move things along. Quintiles are the gifts, the easy and often complete answer to the problems or situations before us. There are two quintiles. Mercury forms a quintile aspect to Saturn while Chiron near to the North Node forms a quintile aspect to Pallas Athena. Remember Pallas Athena, Saturn and Pluto are in a Grand Trine in Earth with each other trying to get us to create our future with wisdom, strategy and knowledge, using our past experiences as well as our future dreams to guide us.

First, slow and steady, step by step, piece by piece, paper by paper, process by process, email by email, go through your list, your stuff, your issues, one at a time. That is how you do your Saturn when he is hanging out in Virgo. Saturn in Virgo is all about the process, the details, the itty bitty steps ~ all you need are teeny tiny steps. The journey of 1,000 miles starts with a step. Take a teeny tiny step. And then take another. One foot in front of the other. Inches count. You are moving forward.

Second, the strategy of Pallas Athena is to ground EVERY THING into the practical, solid, reliable, dependable, earthy Taurus energy of what the actual VALUE is! Get everything involved translated into solid dollars and cents (if you can). If you can‘t, at least attempt to say what it is worth to you. The unvalued is vulnerable, exposed and not happy. What is of value to you? How much is it? What are you willing to do to have it? What is your walk away? Remember, like the commercial says ~ some things ARE priceless. However, most things do have a price. What is the price you are willing to pay? What is the price you are willing to sell it for?

Third, Pluto is in the mix, part of the grand earth trine to Saturn and Pallas Athena. Whenever Pluto is involved, we have to remember to open up any triangle involved, expose it to light and ask all the members involved to cooperate with each other. Pluto wants to include all the components and figure out what the pressure point or transformation option is. Pluto is ruled by Saturn and cooperating with him right now. So the Lord of the Underworld is talking to the Lord of Karma and asking you to be crystal clear about what you want.

Now sometimes, especially in and during aspects and situations like this, it is easier to be crystal clear about what you DO NOT want. That is fine. Just come up with the positive version of the DO NOT want list and create a WANT list. Often it is easier to do the “nope list”. The “yes list” is lying in the opposite direction of the "nope list”.

Often when we go through transits like the stuff immediately ahead of us, we wonder why. We attract into our lives people, situations and challenges that match and mirror our chart and our beliefs as outlined by our chart. You pulled the situation into your life to help you grow and evolve. It helped you become who you are. You are now at a point of changing and evolving. The situation or person has served that purpose. You have grown and evolved. Now, over the next few weeks, you’ll need to figure out if it (or they) are going to stay or leave your life. REGARDLESS of what your (or their) choice is ~ stay or go ~ both of you will be evolving to your next phases and chapters in your respective lives. So be brave. Be bold. Ask for what you want. Shoot for the sky.

I got in a fight with my best friend over some miscommunication, I dazed out in a meeting and spoke up about the WRONG topic, only to have everyone staring at me like I'm crazy, and I can't seem to focus on anything. To make matters worse, it's my BIRTHDAY today so I have to go and be social, when all I want to do is hide under my covers.

We had a great night hanging out last week... until MAJOR fight erupted over... hmm, guess what...whether "we should be in a relationship" and "how could it work out, there's no future here." Mind you, we have just been casually spending time together for a few months.

How could 2 people be fighting when we both say we want to be with the other?!? We aren't even together!!!

The biggest news, of course, is Mercury’s turn retrograde on Monday. The Messenger stations at 21°32″ Gemini and eventually will work his way back to 12°58″ Gemini before returning direct on June 19.

Traffic may be at a dead stop, and possibly due to unusual circumstances. Leave a little early, and do whatever you need to do to manage your frustration level.

As if that’s not enough retrograde energy, Chiron also just went retrograde, at 21 degrees Aquarius. It’s always hard to say how multiple aspects like this will manifest, but I think it’s going to involve healing beliefs and thought patterns that no longer serve us. There also may be an element of healing old wounds and talking with others about past hurts between you. Normally, I wouldn’t recommend attempting this during Mercury retrograde periods, but a triple retrograde like this is incredibly rare and warrants trying something different.

The Moon conjoins Chiron and Neptune on Monday, so we’re going to get a full dose of this medicine, and the effects will continue strongly into Tuesday, when the Moon enters Neptune-ruled Pisces. As complicated as these intertwining energies are, there will be no mistaking how they’re manifesting in our lives, individually or collectively. The lunar North Node is sitting at 22 degrees Aquarius, between Chiron and Neptune, indicating an element of destiny to all of this. Also on Monday, Venus squares Saturn in the early degrees of Gemini and Virgo. This is going to be a tough week all around for romantic relationships, but if you’re willing to confront your issues directly, you’ll be rewarded eventually. You can’t expect to undo years of hurt in a day or two, and there is bound to be turbulence. As I’m so fond of saying, you can’t get to cruising altitude without it.
