.Studies indicate that only 5% of children are actually born on the expected due date.
I am of the mind set that we choose exactly when we will enter the world based on circumstances needed to fulfill our life path...
I do not believe the soul or spirit, if you will, makes a mistake by arriving on a particular date and time non conduit to our spiritual growth.
Thus use only the "real" date, time, and place of birth.
Note: I did greatly consider the very question you yourself have when one of my own children was born via medical intervention a full 3 months prematurely.
Mostly curious as to why she would choose to be born under the circumstances she was born under... I compared what her chart may have been had she been born on the expected due date V.S. her actual date of birth.
Again, after doing so...
I still believe with a my heart she arrived at the very strategically planned moment she needed for her planetary assortment and alignments.
She was clearly eager to have Sagi influences and she does through and through. Her five planets in this sign made her absolutely positively able to deal with her medical issues at birth and not only overcome them completely but do it with a smile.
I am blessed to have her under any planetary influences of course. But these were the ones necessary for both her and our family to be able to cope with the insane life challenges we were to go through.
There are astrologers out there that do comparison charts such as what I mentioned above, but really I know of noone who takes preference to a "expected due date" over a "real viable birth" and time.
I hope this has helped you some on your path...
If I were to experiment further with questions such as this, I'd likely rather choose a conception date for analyzing than an EDD. Many cultures practice do this and it seems a bit more on base with percentages of accuracy than EDD's
