Anyone been through one? Sorry I can't put up the chart because it belongs to a child I know and I wouldn't feel right. The aspect is Uranus Squaring Chiron and will last a couple of years. If anyone has any general experience they could share that would be helpful. It doesn't sound great. IP: Logged |

Hi, blue moon!I went through a couple of Chironic transits, including the one you mentioned. Unfortunately, both transits made by Chiron and also to Chiron bring unpleasant, hurtful events in one's life. I had Uranus square natal Chiron when I was 16-17 years old. Uranus was transiting my 1st house, and natal Chiron is in the 4th, cnj IC. It was an unpleasant period for me, my parents broke up, and they made me chose between them, as I was a minor. I was stuck in the middle, they were both a mess, a lot of hurtful things were said. I rebelled by starting smoking, sort of as a protest - a silly one, I admit. They got back together eventually and I quit smoking - twice since then. Oddly, we are pretty united now, as a family. In what house is his natal Chiron and where is Uranus now in his chart? Glad you got through it O.K. Chiron is in the 11th, Uranus transiting through the end of the 1st house. This is on Placidus system. I'm not a fan of Uranus transits. I've not enoughed the ones I've had, I hate seeing kids go through similar. IP: Logged |

Is it one of your sons? I hope not. How old is the child in question? If the transit happens before 7-8 years old, it might not be felt quite so abruptly. And there is one thing I noticed. It takes more than just 1 transit to make something dramatic happen in your life - even if we're talking Uranus. I checked the events that affected my life the most, and there were usually a couple of transits going on, and there is usually something going on in the progressed chart or by solar arc, as well. [edit: what I meant was that the planets synchronized so well, that those aspects were at 0 orb, some were exact to the minute, on those respective days]. For instance, in 1998 I had transiting Chiron opposite natal Venus. My Venus is at the same degree as yours, but I bet you felt this transit differently. At that time, I was also having transiting Pluto conjunct natal Uranus, in the 10th - explosive combo! I have Sun at 13*Aries; in my Solar Arc chart, 4 planets + NN were at 13* feminine signs, making exact semisextiles/squares/quincunxes to my natal Sun. So something dramatic and painful happened in my life, indeed, but there were more factors pointing towards this, not just Chiron opposition Venus - although I can assure you it left a wound that will probably never heal. I am curious about your experience with this transit, since we went through it at the same time. It hit me in March 1998, I was 14-15 ys old. [edit] Ok, so he's either in his 20s (Chiron in Gemini), or 7-8 years old (Chiron in Sagittarius). You should also keep in mind that this is a generational aspect - it probably won't affect him all that much, unless he is a very sensitive person or he has some personal planets in the mix, OR he has other bad transits/progressions/Solar Arcs culminating at the same time with this aspect. Oh, sorry, the child is under 7, will have turned 7 when it hits. Sadly some of the kids I know (that come to play here) have had tough lives. I'll have look at the Solar Arcs. Oh, and when I got married Saturn was Conjunct Chiron. I never spotted that before. Does that mean he is destined to be a pain in my @rse? Hey, I worked that out without that aid of astrology. LOL, not necessarily, no. Saturn is a bad guy only when making bad aspects. I think Saturn transits are necessary when a person marries, it is a step that should be taken seriously, in my opinion. Actually, to my surprise, I found Saturn in the 7th house of a Solar Return chart for the year I met my most significant partner. We almost got engaged. My experience with 1998 was quite different, I was abused (not sexually, but bad just as well). I am relieved you got married under this transit, because we're having the square this year. When it was exact, I was afraid to go out of the house, after what happened in '98. Now that Chiron is retro, it will square our Venus sometime in August and again in January '09. IP: Logged | |
