This afternoon I let my son have a paint on the walls, I thought it was an improvement. There are kids pictures all over the walls anyway. The room arrangements are fairly fluid. Everyone has stuff in all the rooms, it's not compartmentalised. I have a friend with kids who is appalled but I can't understand her buying a cream carpet.

At the other side of the chart is my place of work, Virgo. In the library I am on the case for books being neat and in their place. I go in early to put chairs straight and pick up bits of paper left on the floor. People tend not to like to hot desk with me, though.

Odd thing here, my father and one of my kids has Mars in Pisces on my I.C. They are both tidy and tell me off for being messy. My dad comes around my house to do my ironing. My mother has Mars in Virgo on my M.C. She instilled high standards of personal hygiene but is actually quite an untidy person and a bit of a compulsive hoarder. Clean though, she even worked as a cleaner.

I am untidy at home. A little bit of dirt in the corner on the kitchen floor doesn't give me nightmares. Our moggies are part of the family, and since they're shedding now I pick up and vacuum up enough fur to stuff a pillow. But I know where things are (usually) and people are amazed that I can walk over to a pile of what looks like Assorted Crap In Chaos, and pull out exactly what I was looking for.

My MC is in Libra, however, I like there to be peace, quiet, calm and a laid back atmosphere due to the Venus influence

Cancer IC no planets in the fourth...
Guess I'll chalk it up to saturn in my first house? I am CLEAN/ORGANIZED/PRIORITIZED/
and Strangely have children who enjoy helping out around the house.

Nah, just kidding!

Really though while I am clean and rarely find myself at a loss for finding what I need.
I do not focus to much energy to this area of my life.

I've practiced enough Feng Shui in this lifetime to know clearly what I can and cannot get away with, LOL!
I heed the art but still do have my seriously cluttered areas
(ei 3 Huge bookshelves 6 1/2 ft high X 4 1/2 ft wide books stacked and still not yet organized, clothes on the closet floor, etc.) *sigh

I also have IC in Cancer yet my home doesn't remotely remind of your home. My 4th house is empty though ruled by cappy moon conjuncting mc

I like living in a chaos harmony. Nothing is dirty but nothing is alphabetically sorted or size sorted ... I'm not fond of flowers/paintings etc. .. my place looks very intellectual, a lot of books, book shelves .... my apartment is a duplex. Upper part has roof angles so I guess it is a little artsy

Hmmm... my IC is in Capricorn, (my 4th house is empty) and it opposes my Moon. I am pretty orderly. Basically, you can tell how I am feeling by the state of the house. If I am in a tumultuous state of mind or emotions, my place will be like that too. Actually, I think that's where my emotions show, via my environment. Strangely though, what I call a mess is not other people's idea of a mess, (or people are usually just lying when they say, "This is not messy" after I ask them to excuse the mess.)

Actually, the places that get untidy most often are the kitchen and my bedroom because I am always in there.

I have a Leo IC - which I'm not even sure if my place is Leo like and if it was Leo like what would it look like? I have a Moon in Cancer (2nd) and possibly a 4th house Pluto.

My home is my refuge away from the world and a place where I love to be most of the time. (Saturn in the 12th)?

Though the building that I live in really gives me the creeps - sadly a low rental and one of the worst buildings in the city. The halls are messy and the elevator is just horrible - people slopping stuff all over etc. I have been here for 5 years and fantasize about moving away from here. That is the only thing that really makes me wanna move away - rough neighbors - some drug addicts etc. Things got so bad that the landlord had to put 24 hour security in and at one time they had 2 officers on. Now we just have security during the night and that's it.

THEN we have a lot of handicapped folks here too (I have no issues with my wheel chaired neighbors).

I hardly get visitors because there is no parking around here.....

Overall, my apartment has a homey feel to it and even my boyfriend (Aquarius) likes it here....

My home is a top floor, corner apartment unit in a 4 story walk up building. The front windows face East and has views of downtown. On the rare occasion that I am awake early, the sunrises are spectacular. They always begin as a fiery orange, and soften into a yellow. The back windows face West and on clear days one can see the sunset. The sunset colors range from coral pinks, oranges, purples, golds . . .

The inside is decorated with art work and framed personal photos from my travels. The centerpiece on my walls is an orately gold framed poster of Botticelli's, The Birth of Venus from the Uffizi in Firenze. My collection also include two large Thai ceramic vases decorated in a Southeast Asian styles. I hope to travel to Southeast Asia someday.

I have many bookcases that are filled to the gills. Some shelves are converted into cubby holes with dark brown Asian wicker baskets. The tops of the shelves have framed photos in unique frames. One frame in particular, never fails to take my breath away whenever I look at it. It is a postcard of an angel I have from Firenze that I framed in a flowery, silver pattern. It leans against a tall, wooden candlestand painted in soft green that was carved to resemble a draping cloth, like that of a toga.

It took me years to finally decide that someone else would do a better job helping me do the heavy duty cleaning and organizing around the place. So far, so good. It was the best decision I made this year in an effort to streamline my life more.

Yet in spite of all this, the greatest joy in my home is my cat, Willard. He is a black and white alpha male cat and greets me everytime I walk in the front door .

The dining table, chairs and buffet are from Crate and Barrel (The Madison Dining set). The white curtains in the bay window, the centerpiece red orchid on the dining table and the buddha on the buffet are from Target. The two smaller red orchids on the buffet are from Michael's (all the orchids in the room are "fake" because we have four cats and that means we can't have real plants in the house). The placemats and table runner are from Ross.

So as you can see, you can still create a decent design buying from "big box" stores on a budget.
