quote:
Hmmm...are people afraid to tell you things that they think might "upset" you?

Probably not

quote:
Can you stop someone in their tracks with just a look?

Yes, aries AC

quote:
Have you ever been dumped by someone because they thought you were too into them?

Not dumped by a boyfriend but probably a friend that I was interested in

quote:
Can a simple story on the news make you furious...or cry your eyes out?

Yes, cancer IC.

quote:
Does heat literally radiate off your body? When something makes you really mad, do you feel like a volcano is about to erupt inside you?

Totally, aries AC again.

But again, I have nothing really in my chart to indicate intensity. I'm usually happy or if not, the odd angry moment. But when I get angry, I not only get angry and what to explode, I stay angry a long time (brood) and get very resentful.

Aqu sun opp saturn, squ ura, Aries AC conj jup in 1st, mars in gem and semi-squaring saturn - ie anger combined with nervous tension. Otherwise, I'm a libra moon, the only "bad" aspect I have with my moon is jup on the asc. Intensity I suppose is added by pluto and pluto is 9 deg from my moon, too far for a conj IMHO unless you use the DC as a joining thing:

Pluto - 11 deg lib, DC - 14 deg Libra, Moon 20 deg libra

...but that sounds dodgy to me...

23- I don't necessarily want to get into an orb debate, but I think there is a good basis for saying your moon and pluto are conjunct. For one, it's a natal chart and the orbs are wider than in synastry, so even a 10 deg orb for a conjunction in the natal is not unheard of. Also, it involves the moon, and I think most astrologers would agree that orbs for the luminaries can be a bit more generous.

That said, I also have Aries ASC and Cancer on the IC...which maybe does account for some of the things I mentioned. But personally, I don't think of the Aries influence as adding intensity. Sort of the opposite, really...I think of Aries as having more of an outburst and then getting over it quickly. Just MY humble opinion!

PC71 - you're justified in your argument. I think there was a post around here concerning linking planets that can create conjunctions between planets that would normally be too far. Being that both planets are near the DC, the DC would reflect both of these two qualities and unify them. Normally I'm a bit of a nazi when it comes to orbs but I suppose I'll bend when needed.

Also, my mother has moon conj pluto VERY tightly in her chart (in leo), so I do have a place to inherit it from. She is explosive as this conj also squares her sun/mercury (sco).

Anyway, if you want to see the rest of my chart, you can find it on this thread (on page 4):
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/011668.html

PS We are talking about a possible Aries AC person on there so I'd love your help with that TIA!

23 - Actually, if we're talking about the same thread, I'm one of the people who posted about the "bridging" planets!

As for the Duran Duran ASC, I'd love to help but I'm really bad at guessing those...well, I can go over there and give it a try, I suppose! lol

I've got some pretty intense emotions, thanks to my exact sun pluto conjunction in scorpio!(which is also in the 5th house!) I've also got cancer rising, moon in the 4H, conjunct my IC and many other asteroids in that house.

what can I say though, I love being emotionally intense. I can't imagine living life any other way; definately adds more to each and every experience!

I like that I feel so much, but it does get tiring. I can be very obsessive with things, too.

Whoever wrote about having to know stuff, I know what you mean. It's harmless but I do have to know as much as I can about things. I have to find out why and how things really are.

I cry just because I see other people hurt or crying. The news makes me angry or sad, too.

I just read this about pluto transiting the 8th house (where it is for me).

Pluto

By Transit

A transit of Pluto to the 8th House is likely to be a time of intense, obsessive and even violent emotional responses. If H8 is tenanted, then this process of bringing to light hitherto unacknowledged emotional or sexual tendencies may use the agency of specific people and situations. Intense love affairs are common at this time and there is frequently a great attraction for people engaged in criminal or taboo activities. Alternatively, criminal or taboo activities may become an object of fascination.

It is often said of Pluto, that under its influence, a person can be made an offender or a victim. This is never more true than when Pluto is working through the 8th House. The obsessions and intense desires, which it unleashes, may be destructive to another or to self.

Either way they will merit a person’s attention and Conscious effort if they are to be transformed.

After transiting the 8th House Pluto moves on into H9 and a person may well have to adjust his belief system during this period in order to accommodate what he has come to understand about the intensity of the emotions and his greater awareness of the human shadow.

LadyNeptune -

That was me with the "knowing obsession". lol Yeah, it's 100% harmless because I have absolutely no intention of using this information in any way. I just wanna know, ya' know???

I often cry when others cry, also. OMG, I was watching a show the other night and it showed animals being mistreated. I should have known better! Seriously, they started to pull on a baby cow's tail and I started to cry and say "That's so meeeeean!". I was definitely crying pretty hard, but I'm proud of myself for not actually blubbering! lol

I also cringe when I see others get injured, almost like I'm feeling it myself. Not REALLY feeling it, but feeling how they must feel...that's the only way I can explain it. I'm starting to think I may be an empath. What are your thoughts on this? I wonder what things in a chart would show that. Btw...here's an interesting link I found about that, if anyone is interested.

I think empathy is Neptune's job, a strong neptune in your chart may mean that you could be an empath.

I have mercury in Pisces, and I think I have to learn protection techniques (I mostly absorb negative emotions from people, and most of the time I'm unaware of what happened untill later, when I'm physically sick).

I don't cry at the news, but then again I have a big stellium in Aries, and, well, we're superficial and unsympathetic like that
I only absorb peoples emotions when I come in contact with them, and if their energy is overflowing.

That's an interesting point Maira. I've noticed I'm a lot more empathetic that other people and I've had to almost teach myself not to be so as sometimes intense emotions and too many emotions can be very hard to process given the rest of chart.

My neptune is in sag and falls in the 8th house, its the only planet that I have in a succedent house, singleton x1. Its also part of my mystic rectangle (involving pluto, mars, jupiter) and trines my asc.

Purple Chick,

I know. I'm the same way. My emotions are very strong. I especially get upset when I see someone abused. I'd like to channel that energy into something positive, like volunteering.

I sometimes think I am an empath. I am very empathetic. I can usually tell what people are feeling and thinking. I have a strong neptune.

I think I became more empathetic when my progressed Sun went into Pisces. I've definately noticed a huge increase in empathy and compassion.

like plutoprincess, I have Scorpio rising and Pisces sun in 4th house. I know she said 5th, but she said also, her 4th house was strong.

Lady Neptune - what makes for a strong Neptune? I have neptune in Sag in the 8th house (like 23!) and it's part of that kite formation I mentioned earlier. In my progressed chart, it's still at the top of a kite, but opposing saturn, and trine mercury on one side and a pluto-moon conjunction on the other (there's that darn pluto again! lol).

Also, you mentioned pisces for empathy and it's funny because I don't have ANY planets in water natally, but my sun-moon midpoint is in pisces and I just learned that my draconic sun is in pisces, as well. (I just started looking at draconics a little.)

I know what you guys mean about absorbing people's energy. I really hate the mall, and a psychic told me it's probably because I feel so much of other people's stuff.

Oh! Here's another thing that I think may be pluto related:
I notice that people look at me a lot. Maybe it's just in my head (or maybe I'M looking at THEM and they're just looking back! lol) But really, it's kind of weird. Adults sometimes have a deer-in-headlights look about them, babies stare...it's just odd! I mean, I guess I'm decent looking, but I'm not exactly some gorgeous model! lol So I don't think that's the reason.

And another thing...and to this I have witnesses... whenever I go somewhere, like into a store, there will be no one in this one section, and as soon as I go there, everyone else shows up! No matter what I'm looking at, people just HAVE to come and look at it, too! I've experimented by going to the discount bin and looking at the most god-awful ugly items, pretending I'm interested in them, and within a minute there is ALWAYS someone right next to me checking them out, too. Almost as soon as I leave, they leave, too. It's kinda funny...I could probably market this as a service to the stores! (Maybe it's just natural curiosity on the part of the other people, but my friends don't have this stuff happen to them! They've seen it and they agree it's pretty strange! lol)

Oh yes, the staring is Pluto related, I get the deer in the headlights look, the i'm-so-envious-look from women, some of the babies stare and some of them laugh or smile (maybe it's their own Pluto? )

I've had the most amazing experience with a baby in an airplane, it was a three hour flight, and the baby was very agitated. Once she saw me, she stopped and just stared, and after that the nanny or the parents purposedly turned her, kind of unconfortably towards me just so that she could calm down

But I think is't controllable, I can go to the mall or wherever, and if I don't want people to notice me, they usually don't. It's all about the energy you project.

I think a strong Neptune would be in 1st house, or cnj asc, but that would also mean illusions about self; Neptune in 12th; in pisces; conjunct sun or moon. Also when Pisces is emphasised in the chart, asc, or lots of planets in pisces or the 12th.

I always seem to attract or be drawn to people influenced by Neptune, I guess it's because my chart is all fire and air, ruled by mars, but I'm also influenced heavily by pluto, venus and saturn.

So I ground them, motivate them into action and cheer them up. In return, they lo-ove me

I have a strong Neptune influence too
Moon in Pisces square its dispositor Neptune in 3rd
also my Neptune parallels Mercury and Venus and contraparallels Saturn. I also have Neptune conjunct Jupiter and square Mars.

My Moon is also trine my 12th house ruler(Sun)

I also have strong Neptune midpoint configurations
Mercury conjunct Sun/Neptune midpoint(similar to my Mercury parallel Neptune and Neptune in 3rd)
Moon oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint(from my Moo,Saturn,Neptune t-square)

I am definitely overly sensitive/empathetic and can be very compassionate..but also too sympathetic....like if I see a homeless person or somebody begging for money,I tend to give them money. I am very tender, soft, gentle too..especially towards the women that I love. That's the Moon in Pisces in 6th square Neptune as well as Moon trine 12th house ruler,Sun in 2nd house.

I definitely prefer spiritually oriented women with a mystical, imaginative, romantic, idealistic, compassionate nature

My Moon is also conjunct Fomalhaut(alpha star of Pisces Austrinus)and that has Mercury-Venus-Neptune influence.

I feel pretty intense.

While feeling positive intensity, its all great

But during negative intensity, I withdraw and go for Gym or take a shower and meditate. After that it takes hours, days, months and years to go through self control of that negativity and hard work in hiding that Sting. I wish I can find more ways to remove negative intensity and be more tolerant. Anyone has recommendations? I will take them.

Yeah, I have them and I think everyone does
Moon in Aries opposite Pluto.

I dont really express them too much as it would turn me into a nasty piece of work, and that kind of thing in a human is not good.

I watched Equilibrium yesterday and brought up a good Capricorn/Cancer divide involving emotions and control of. The government wanted to control emotion, as negative, uncontrolled emotions led to anger, hate, wars, crime etc which is understandable.
But yet the people who couldnt control emotions, were incinerated....so much for the ones who could control it being nice and not much killing

Anyways, yeah I keep them under check as "bad" emotions can lead to negative behaviour. Plenty of different ways to channel or express negative emtion than doing things that you shouldnt.

mblover - I think you should direct your energy/intensity in the opposite direction it came from. Obviously from your chart, you are highly creative etc because of your strong 5th house emphasis. Directing it in the 11th might help by creating some balance. So maybe community work which is highly mundane (eg maybe community land conservation) might assist. Also getting together in groups of friends might help. You also have chiron in the 11th and you can use that to make yourself a leader/teacher/healer in the community.

Hahaha, i am about as intense as it gets.
Venus conjunct mars, taurus sun moon mercury in the 8th, Moon opposed pluto, Chiron trine pluto. I feel like there's a lot of heavy feminine energy in my chart, I am majorly lacking Air and fire in my natal.

The moon and mercury in aspect to pluto will add to the intensity of your emotions. Several other Pluto aspects also greatly play a role in your overall character. I also have my moon and mercury aspecting Pluto. Moon is harmonious and mercury is in a hard aspect. Venus is also trine Pluto. For me personally, Pluto aspects and moon, Venus placed in 8th house seems to give my emotions more hidden depth, meaning and intensity. If I'm careful with how I choose to harness this deep energy, it will generally be a positive influence in my life and those close to me.

I have really intense emotions. My ASC's ruler is in Pisces; my moon is in Cancer; Venus and Pluto in Scorpio. I also have a lot of hard aspects to my sun and moon.

It can be positive or negative. It's bad when you feel things very deeply to the point of being over-sensitive or being nearly completely drained emotionally after something that would be far less serious for others. It takes you longer to get over things. It can be positive when you feel an overwhelming surge of happy feelings (for me, feeling spiritually connected falls into this category). It really depends. When other people can understand you (which unfortunately is rarely the case), and still love you anyway, it makes dealing with the negative much easier. People like that are extremely rare and are precious.
