Hello out there,

at the end of this year Saturn will cross my MC and enter my 10th house. Did some of you made experiences with that?

Personally, I "survived" several Saturn-transits already, and I didn't find them all negative. Saturn cj. my natal Sun for instance helped me a lot, gave me great strength.

But I am wary about this upcoming MC-connection, especially since my professional life has been very volatile lately and I am not sure whether I am properly "prepared".... The fall season will "make or break" it for me, in any case.

My natal MC is in Virgo - in wide conjunct (6 dg) to Pluto - trined by ma natal Saturn - sextiled by ma natal Sun.

Please: All experiences with trans. Saturn cj. the MC would be very welcome!

Hi alvarella777,

Last time I had Saturn conjunct my MC I was given a promotion.

Last fall, my brother had Saturn hit his natal Mercury conjunct the MC, and he was given a promotion and a raise. Mercury rules his Virgo MC and his Gemini 8th house cusp.

At the same time, he went through a break-up with his common-law wife and a move to a new home (Saturn opposite the IC).

Saturn conjunction the MC can indicate a time of achievement, reward and increased responsibilities in your career and status, if you have been handling your Saturn energies (duty, responsibility) well. It's the culmination of Saturn's rise in your chart from the journey it started when Saturn conjuncted the IC approximately 14 years before.

Since it will trine your natal Saturn as well that may indicate a time of building structure and stability in your life, particularly in the house which natal Saturn occupies. The sextile to your Sun could provide opportunities.

Good luck to you.

Thanks Astroleolady,

your lines really spur me on - and soothe my nerves a bit! ;-)

I am only worried about the "preparational part". I feel strangely anxious ... not very self-confident at the moment ... and I would love to DO more things to be strong and firm then, when Saturn hits my MC. At the same time, I see that there are only a few months left before that happens ... and I am unsure whether I can "influence" Saturn's impact by any last-minute-action. Actually I am 37 years now, self-employed - and IF that transit has SUCH impact (as they claim in all the books...) it will show then whether my life goals are "working" at all or whether I'll fail.

Damn - I NEVER was so nervous with an upcoming transit. Its approach is stuck in my head and makes me VERY wary, like a small child who hopes that her bad deeds/mistakes will not be discovered ... STRANGE!

But: THANKS for these uplifting lines!

You're welcome. Try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know, but it's a negative exercise that drains your energy.

Think positively that good things will be coming your way.

Have you tried affirmations before? Sounds kinda weird to some people, but they can help you to feel more confident.

This should be a positive transit, as Saturn moves into its own house (the 10th house), if you are using Placidus (MC always on the cusp of the 10th house).

Hi alvarella! I JUST had this transit within the last several months. For me it manifested as the beginning of my career (I graduated last year and had yet to find a job and I did find one under this influence), even though it was not the kind of job I actually wanted, but it was good experience towards what I want to do. However, within 3 months I have found a new job that is much closer to what it is I want to be doing. It's more permanent.

Even though the initial job wasn't exactly what I wanted, it was a GREAT learning experience, albeit a tough one.

I hope that helped a bit. Mainly I think it just means that you'll go through something career wise that will help you learn more about your profession and help you refine your experience and hopefully help you fatten up your resume. Just remember that it will take effort on your part. It won't just fall into your lap. It'll be worth it in the end though.

I had this transit earlier this year (it's still conjunct the MC in my 10th), and at the beginning I was incredibly motivated and career-focused. Months later and I admit that has crumbled for me a bit, as I haven't actually enjoyed my job for a long time. But I do admit it was a great transit for wanting to advance myself.

Thanks for your replies. They are quite soothing, really. What I understand from your lines is: Saturn, while crossing the natal MC, mainly raises your own ambitions, or furthers your objectives and gives you a certain "stamina" to take a large step towards achieving your goals ...? Maybe it's a more "internal" thing then, an increase of your individual power - and not neccessarily an indiactor of "outside forces" (that's what I am fearing so much, currently: That I might "lose control").

Your replies inspired me to look back once more to other Saturn-transits I have experienced and survived already. And in fact, these haven't all been "bad", in the outcome.

When Saturn conjuncted my natal Saturn in 2000 for instance, I dared to take first steps in my professional life, which led to huge changes - I was very unhappy then with my employment - and finally these steps I took then led me to self-employment one year later (in 2001), and that's what I do since then.

While Saturn was wandering through my 7th house in 2002/2003 my personal and professional "image" changed a lot and I even got a reward for my work etc.

After it had entered my 8th house, I left a marriage-like long term relationship after nine years, packed my bags and moved to another part of the country.

Hm. Okay - I won't be afraid anymore but will prepare to face it as it comes.;-)

I never paid much attention to this! I went though it and will be experiencing this again once the retrograde hits another degree.

I finished up my last year of preschool teaching but I said I would substitute teach when I am in my home state.

It was not an easy decision. But I am very fortunate to experience time seeing the country with my husband all the time while I am in my early 30's.

I will get around to doing professional development soon. I have to complete it in order to stay on as a substitute teacher.
