Topic: 12th house Venus: trouble?

many of u may not recognize me at all, as i have been away from this forum for past 3 years. i was know as sugar buns, but i lost my password. so had to register again. my hi to all of u. 
ok onto the topic-what i have read about this placement is very little and very ambiguous. not sure what this has for the native who has got it. mystery surrounding love? or is it about illicit affairs and under cover promiscuity? i have not been able to reach any conclusions so far.
neither do i another person who has this placement. given that my venus is in libra, it even further complicates the situation. libra venus is considered the ideal placement for this planet. but with 12th house in picture, does it attain shades of grey or blue? i have been looking for an answer for past few years, but still not done with it. so any ideas? has anyone else got it?IP: Logged |

Venus is strong in Libra and Taurus because it rules these signs. But I would agree with you that the flavour will be altered with the aspects and location on the chart. This is Pisces/Neptune's natural house so there is a certain amount of idealism attached to this placement. But Venus is exalted in Pisces. There have been threads on Venus in 12th on LL where people with this placement worry about doomed love. But as I have pointed out before, my brother has it and is happily married with 3 kids. His Venus is in Taurus. It is conjunct Saturn on one side and the Ascendant on the other. If the Ascendant side gives looks and charm, the Saturn side is not given to share it about indiscreetly. Secret promiscuity? Er, doesn't fit with the personality. Secret softie, more like ~ can't remember who on the forum offered this as a suggestion for this placement but it is vey apt ~ Saturn is also Square the Moon so there is a lot of feeling and sensitivity hidden away from the world at large. You'd have to know him well to know how much is going on.

venis in 12th in leoooooooooo  im 25 and ive already been in 2 secret love affairs lol they both happened when uranus was opposite my venus and now i got neptune about to oppose venus so who knows what will happen next hehehehehhe but i dont consider myslf doomed everything happens for a reason we all just go with whatever life brings and follow our destiny/fate whatever people call it wheni was younger i used to hide my feelings alot but after saturn wsent over m moon i changed all that and now i show my love and im affectionate. my dad has this placement and cheated on my mum he has venus in libra in 12th but people who dont have this placement still have secret relationships and all the other crap people claim come along with this placement, i believe cheating is with your heart not with your body everyone in here knows about attraction and that astrologically we can even see reasons why we might experience such feelings towards people even though some might be wrong for us but it happens and its not a bad thing or something to worry about.. venus is ruler of my 8th house and my first it also squares my uranus and jupiter whatever it means i am not suffering in relationships anymore than my friend who has venus in 1st or another house. in fact my friend with venus in first is way worse than me immorally and has been with 100s of guys married or with kids and is doomed because she married one of the best guys ive ever seen and she cheated on him within 2 yrs and they divorced. though i sound like i have an unlucky placement im actually alot luckier than her and haventhad really any bad run in im still very good friends with all my exes too ------------------

Hi ez-I have Venus in 12th in libra and let me just add the whole clandestine, illicit love affairs is crap. I am not into stealing anyone's man especially a married man. the best description i have ever heard is when venus in the 12th house there is a need to completely have a soul connection and to be fully understood by there partner it is not enough to just have a physical connection. the relationship MUST be deep and spirtual in order to feel fufilled. my very personal take on that is true intimacy is not given up until that deep connection is forged but if not fulfilled then i think they would keep looking probably secretly for someone that will meet those needs with them. hth,

ladya22, I think both yours and Belgz interpretations are valid. It's quite possible your 12th house Venus in Libra, in its natural sign, behaves quite differently than someone with 12th house Venus in Capricorn or Gemini or Aries. One guy had a secret internet porn addiction that he was hiding from everyone, including his wife. He had 12th house Venus in Capricorn. Another guy always got defensive when his wife asked him personal questions. He felt that she was somehow trying to pry his secrets. He had 12th house Venus in Scorpio. I once dated someone with Venus in the 12th, and there were so many secrets in his life, I could never really trust him. Also 12th House Venus in Scorpio. IP: Logged |

12th House Venus in Cancer here, and there's definitely something "funky" about it.
Whenever I'm interested in someone there is almost always some reason it's best kept a secret. The occasional attraction to a taken man happens, but more often than not there is some other reason for the need to keep it a secret. I can't remember the last time I was in love with someone and could tell someone about it (exept from someone completely removed from that situation or circle of acquaintances), or the last time I was in love and it didn't hurt like hell....  ------------------

hey thanks lalalinda ya i think the soul/spiritual connection thing is true with me. which why i sometimes feel that i might not find someone who will connect with me. with so much promiscuity around, my soul will hurt if i dont find a soul connection with the man i physically get intimate with. i just cant do that without it. i think that best explains me.
