Er, my husband has the Opposition. My Sun cuts through it to make a T-Square. Exact with Pluto. We don't discuss politics or religion. Plenty of things left to argue about though: who was responsible for the toothpaste top being left off? That can precipite a major falling out. I know my own mind and am happy to argue if someone tries to foist their opinions on me. That's why he likes you, says my mother. Sun Square Pluto has the reputation of being a synastry red card. But if you get to know each well enough, and have plenty else going for you, it can be accommodated. I suspect that is the same for Jupiter square Pluto on a natal chart. If he knows he is being too controlling and it is becoming self-destructive or hindering relationship growth, then that's a message for him to back off. Just like if you knowing your Sun Square Mars can make you aggressive, there are times you need to tell yourself to cool it and walk away if needs be. So yes, I think he can grow out of it at least in the sense of containing the negative side of this aspect. He has to put the effort in though. IP: Logged |
