What aspects or chart elements would you think would make a good racing car driver?I admit, I haven't bothered to look at some racers' charts but I would think that maybe a bit of mercurial influence (good hand control), a fixed element of some sort (for concentration, steadiness and control) and again mercury/fire (eg mars in 3rd) for the love of speed/conquest. Opinions please. IP: Logged |

AYRTON SENNA!no one before him and no one after him. Of course, if you want to study the chart of a racing driver who cheated throughout his career then look no further than Michael Schumacher! d1c*head extraordinaire... sorry, Unmoved I will post Senna' chart for you tomorrow when l get hold of it. x IP: Logged |

Actually Lewis Hamilton is the reason why I thought of this post. I was watching him on Top Gear and he had to do that lap that all guests do. He did it so easy and in the wet too, the only person on the board to outrace him is The Stig, who is an old hand on that track (and he did in the dry). Lewis was so casual and precise about it. I picked up something mercurial there but then again, I haven't looked at his chart yet or anyone elses.IP: Logged |

It's ok Lara. It's all about 10% talent in any industry and the rest is how a person makes it work for themselves, how the person capitalised on their opportunities just like how Tiger woods collects endorsements like how some people collect stamps. I'm aware of his antics. I support McLaren but I acknowledge Michael for more than just his driving. I respect his smarts. tiger is a Cap too just for interest's sake. IP: Logged |

Well to be fair, Michael had ZERO competition when he won all those titles and still he had to cheat!I think he's an arrogant twat but we shall differ in opinion peacefully Hamilton is going to be a great one too though.. he drives just like Senna and uses his tactics to master his races. The thing that sets Fangio and Senna apart from these other two mutleys is that they BOTH transcended the car. They got more out of the car than the telemetry says was capable of the cars. capricorns become machines when it comes to sport.. don't you think?they are like the Germans invading Poland.... they do it methodically and with no emotion whatsoever. I like to see passion in a sport! IP: Logged |

Wow they they either have Aries AC (y'know politically incorrect - but its like all Aries AC are like down syndrome, everyone looks alike), or mars in the first, something near the midheaven, something in the 3rd. (Brabham, Senna, Fangio)Could I possibly be a race car driver? lol

Oh, I do like this thread. Racing is racing whatever the venue and requires an aggressive personality type..to be a force in the field. competitive to the nth degree. If I were looking for a race car driver this is what I would be looking for. Sun in Aries, Leo or Scorpio and hopefully on the midheaven. Mercury in an air sign or Virgo to engage a computer like mind, Gemini or Aquarius which knows when to take the risk and when not and Mars in Aries, Scorpio or Leo and in the 6th House or the ASC. These people hate to lose and won't suffer substandard equipment for long. If they can't beat you the first time out, look out because they're going to upgrade. They also tend to have excellent reflexes. With these people, even their family sedans and station wagons are holy terrors on the streets and if you happen to pull up beside them at a red light with a car with a loping cam, wide tires or wing your engine at them, better buckle up because when that light turns green they're going to enjoy blowing carbon exhaust..soot all over your whatever. lalalinda BTW lalalinda I used to race a Chevy 409 at Henderson Drag Strip outside Las Vegas...on occasion...among other places.

I do love racing, either real or in video games. I've played most of the Need for Speed series, which if you look here there's a good number of them. In fact racing games have been my favorite type of games anywhere. In reality I love driving too. sometimes I just drive around and not going anywhere. I've been pulled over for doing 20 over the speed limit 3 times now and crashed a few times too. guess because of my Mars in Aries. but Top Gear is definitely my favorite TV show of all time and racing is probably the only sport that I watch on TV.IP: Logged |

Having aries rising myself with jup on asc and mars in gem/3rd is a good indicator for speed. Gemini loves to speed - mercury is known to be lithe and blithe folksIP: Logged |
