Hahahahahaha, David Bowie FTW! I do see what you mean though, we definitely have the same nose and I have my dad to thank for that...LOL.
And Lara, you sorta resemble Adrianne Curry (America's Next Top Model) who happens to have an aqua moon, I think IQ may be onto something with your ASC.

I'm not quite sure if I looked like my rising sign as it's heavily afflicted.

OMG PeaceAngel had this brilliant idea to look at asteroids of names of people in my life to help with my AC. I found these: My mothers name is 22' LEO (possibly on my DC!)
My 1st husbands name is 20' aries and midpointing my moon/venus lol
My name is 17' gemini (on my IC if my AC is 22/23' aqua) Too freaky!!!
oh, and Peace Angel's ANGEL asteroid is 20/21' Aquarius! Ok this is getting weirder and weirder. If i look at 23' Aqua for my AC it puts my (gun pic) boyfriend's SUN/NN conjunct exact my AC I also did a random AC degree for his gemini AC and my name has appeared conjunct his AC 2'

Yes! Personal name asteroids are a fantastic way of determining things like this. It works for me, I get some amazing match ups with my parent's places of origins and people too. I did it for JT too and the ASC that I thought he had holds his daughter's name on his ASC and asteroid "lebon" on his DC from the 6th (workplace relationship). LOL. Good stuff, you might be on to something with your asteroids from your bf. Do your parents, historical places of reference (from ancestry), stuff like that. It works alright. Lara - my first name asteroid in your chart is at 27 deg Virgo, conj your Ura LOL. My second name asteroid is at 2 deg Pisces (conj my name in my chart!), conj your Chiron. This is for ASC of 22 deg Aqu.
Lara - re your Prog ASC, it would be Tau ASC (how did it move so quick!!) and according to my Placidus based progressed chart, Mars is in the 2nd. If it is in the first, then it might explain my previous thinking. Those first photos you put up a few pages back look quite martian with the eyebrows and square jaw (side view). I'm very sensitive to martian aspects to the ASC. I did with Willem Dafoe a few months back for example while watching English Patient, knew he wasn't Aries rising but knew there was something martian, he is Aqu rising with Mars on DC.
Also prog-wise, my second name sits on your NN! Both are conj my natal ASC btw. IP: Logged |

WOW 23 thats just insane lol!!!Well my n mars is right on my Pr AC and yeah, l have no idea how it jumped 3 signs :O
It's already over halfway through taurus! OK my surname asteroid is 8' leo, my fathers 1st name is 14' capricorn trine my vertex, my mums 1st name is on my DC, my CHILD asteroid is 22' sag. MY middle son's uranus is conjunct my AC and my eldest child's DC is conjunct my AC. OMG
my fathers vertex is conjunct my child exact.
my vertex is conjunct my fathers child.
My mothers mars is exact conjunct my AC and her sun/mercury/moon is conjunct my AC! When l had my eldest son T psyche was on my AC and t union trine my AC, 2nd son t uranus was on my AC and he was born on his due date (!!!) t mars/union on my MC, t venus/saturn on my IC.
With my youngest, t psyche/juno on my IC, t karma on my MC (omg he was such a karmic payback baby). My 2nd marriage t juno on my MC. When my brother was born, t saturn on my IC and moon!! T mars on my MC. :O IP: Logged |

I do have a rebellious streak (ran away from home twice when I was still a teen) and I always try to be different from everyone else, but I just couldn't quite identify myself with the physical traits of an Aqua rising.From http://www.thebrolly.co.uk/elric/ascendant.html#aqu "A very together look - the face of many Aquarians resemble those from classic sculpture - chiseled."
I don't have chiseled face that resembles those from classic sculptures. Many people though, including my ex-boyfriend and even people I just met, told me I look younger than my age, maybe because of the Mercurial influence. "Long body lines, clear cut angles and an upright manner."
I'm only 5'4" so I'm basically dwarfish in western standard. Though some guys told me my height is quite deceiving because at a distance, they thought I'm taller than my real height. Clear cut angles... mmm... not sure about this one. What I know I have are protruding clavicles (lost about 10 lbs) and I hate them. This can probably be associated with Saturn, since it rules the skeleton frame. In photos, I tend to lean back and when I walk, you will never see me with a hunch back, so I guess I might have to agree with the last one. My hair is not naturally straight as in the some of the photos. It is thick and wavy that can be quite rebellious sometimes. I don't like shoulder pads (who actually does?), but as I said above, I like leaning back with both hands in waist when posing in photos. I like wearing my hair high because it makes me feel more comfortable to move around, but not to accentuate my angular lines. Honestly, I think my face looks big in the mirror when I wear my hair like that. "Early degrees of Aquarius rising can be loud; although Ms Aquarius may have quite a rich singing voice too."
My voice changes depending on my mood, but it can never be a rich singing voice. I'm turning 24; some people who hears my voice in the phone always thought it's my 9 year old brother they're talking to. LOL! My friends and my boyfriend said my voice sounded like my mom's in the phone. I actually don't know who to believe, what's for sure, though, is that I hate my voice especially when I hear it on videos. IP: Logged |

Chiselled would be Saturn. We know that Saturn part rules Aqu but I would say all the Aqu risings on the page that I suggested you see aren't chiselled. Maybe a bit of piquing in the eyes and that's about it, which you do have. As for sharp and angular, I tend to associate that with Mars and Aries. You do have some angularity in the jawline in the second photo, the side shot. That is probably the angularity they talk about. quote:

That might be tall for Filipino standards or for your family.
Do you have long legs, do you look lanky when you walk? Look at the way Obama or Jimmy Stewart walk, are you like them in walking or physique? I wouldn't say either are hunchback. IP: Logged |

My appearance book says Aqu often have static or flyaway hair. I'm Aqu Sun, and Aries rising and I have flyway hair for sure, it is very fine but I have plenty of it (fine - Aqu, lot - Aries) which is very sensitive to humidity and rainy days. And it is very static too. As for bad skin, your skin looks ok in photos but acne is usually Saturn in poor aspect to a fire planet. I have acne, oily skin and eczema, I have Sun opp Saturn, Mars semi-square Saturn. You have your chart ruler (Ura), which rules your appearance/projection, opposed Mars, I think it comes from that for you. quote:

No one wears shoulder pads, it's not the 80s and the 80s revival hasn't brought this one back in LOL It's funny because the Aqu example I have in this book is someone with their hand in their pocket emphasising their hips. The books also said that Aqu have long necks (appears from your linked photos) and their heads appear to be large and appear to float like a balloon over their necks, does that sound right? Well, no one likes to hear their own voice if it's not coming from their mouth and reverbating in their head!! I think the sound of voice has something to do with Venus. I think the communicative qualities is Mercury. Mood is the Moon. So you have a voice that is combination of Aries, Tau and Leo respectively. The youthfulness is the Aries, your communication style might be stable but sluggish and your mood is reflected by the Moon square Mercury aspect, where delivery is affected by your emotions and maybe somewhat heightened by the Leo of your Moon. Btw the book asl said that Aqu are famous for ankles. A lot of Aqu have overbites and buck teeth and varicose veins (I'm the Sun and I think I have makings of them. My height is above average in my country. When walking, I think I do have a bit of lankiness, but only when I'm relax. Most of the time, I'm quick on my feet almost like brisk walking but with my arms still dangling on the side and my legs taking long strides. I always look like I'm in a hurry. LOL! Even when climbing up a staircase, I mostly skip a step. I think my legs have average length. If they do looked long, it's maybe because I'm skinny (linked photos below).

Mars opposed Uranus might be the culprit, so as my Leo Moon in poor aspect to my Saturn (tightest aspect I have in my chart). I'm thinking it's more like my whole chart that is keeping me from being stress-free. I find it quite hard to relax. My skin only looks okay when I have a well balance diet (which is very costly) and exercise regularly, even if I stop using acne medication. I wonder if that has something with my Vesta in 21 Libra trining my ascendant. quote:

That sounds right... but "appear to float like a balloon?" LOL, that's funny! I remember back in high school, one of my friends told me not to tie my hair because it's gonna make my face looks like a full moon. Your book gives more accurate description of Aqua rising. Thanks for the interpretation. I've been dying to know more about the effect of those planets if combined. Would hard aspects from midpoint have any effect on someone's ascendant? Like how would Venus-Mars midpoint would influence it? I have mine conjunct my mercury and square my rising sign? quote:

How can someone be famous for their ankle? I'm curious what would the ankle would looked like.
I used to have braces, but it didn't completely fixed my buck teeth and that's why I still wouldn't show my teeth in photos.
I don't have varicose veins yet, but my skin is so thin that some veins are visible. The most visible is the one in my right chest extending to my right shoulder. It is not swollen but it's really green, like someone with a green marker wrote a squiggly line on my chest. IP: Logged |
