And what sort of transit or placement would be present if you actually meet that person face to face?

I'm thinking that a combination of Aquarius/Uranus with Mercury/third house could indicate the online relationship? Or maybe this kind of placement is only present in the relationships that will only ever stay "online" and never become face to face relationships?

I'd really like to know others' experiences as to whether there are any specific aspects that indicate the "online relationship" and/or what was going on if or when you met face to face...

I'd say talking online is an airy thing, if not an aqu/ura thing because of the distance and communication. Placements that you suggested sounds right.

I also noticed that, if email- "friendship" start (and they don`t fade away quickly), that they are lasting approximately one and a half year.
There`s an exception, though. I made an online-friend, and we have been writing to each other for 4 years now. And even though the emails have become a bit more seldom as in the beginning, we still mail each other at least once a week, sometimes more, which is pretty much I guess.

But with her I have "normal" friendship-synastry. Actually there are quite some interesting connections.

Her Sun and Saturn conjunct my Moon.
Her Moon opposes my Venus.
Her Mercury on my Sun-Moon-midpoint and Antivertex
Her Venus conjunct my Sun and Mercury.
Her Mars opposing my Moon.
Her ASC conjunct my Saturn.
Her Uranus trine my Venus and squares my Mars.

I become actually a part of her very challenging T-square, since she has Sun / Saturn / MC in Aquarius opposing Mars in Leo square Neptune in Scorpio, and my Moon conjuncts her Sun, Saturn and MC.

Interesting note: We have never met each other, and don`t even know how each other looks. We will meet in London next year though, far away from both our homecountries (I am from Germany, she is from Sweden).

that´s a very interesting question- nowadays there are many people who met online,not only friendship but relationship wise.

the mmost usual aspect in long-distance:the sun-uranus skuare.This is an aspect present also in many celebrity couples where distance is somehow a part of their lives together,due to work or other circunstances.
