My dad is Sun Leo, Mars Scorpio. His feelings ran deep, loved his family beyond measure, sharp, intuitive, clever, and could really blow his top in a flash.One night a man with a gun came into the bar where dad was working and threatened people. That man ended up unconscious on the floor. My partner is Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon. Her feelings run deep, loves her family beyond measure, is sharp, is intuitive, is clever, but doesn't lose her temper - is more the silent fume type. I get on really well with both of them. There is something about these two people that I respect on a deep level. I guess I feel secure in their devotion.

I'm Leo Sun and the 2 significant people in my life have had Scorpio in the personal planets of Moon and Mars. We have got on fine (I'm sure due to the many mutable signs I have in my chart  ) I've never had a close friendship with a Scorpio Sun. Hope this helps  IP: Logged |

I'm a Leo Sun and i find that Scorpios are very attracted to me, and i am most attracted to Scorpios. I have Scorpio Rising, you see, so it makes it almost impossible for there not to be a mutual fascination.. at least at first. I've dated one Scorpio, and have had several close friends under this sign. In the relationship, he and i were both very monogamous. We kept to ourselves, mostly. Didn't go out, didn't party, didn't even want to be around other people. We created our own little world. But eventually, it started to become evident we weren't made for one another. It wasn't anything regarding to Scorpio or Leo behavior, it was things like, he wanted children. I didn't. He didn't want to leave our hometown. I did. He wanted to settle down immediately after high school, get married, start a family. I protested. So things like that. And then just the fact that we grew up in such different environments, and everything about he and i seemed completely different. It was like an opposites attract sort of thing. But other factors in his chart insinuated that, so i wouldn't place that much blame on my Sun in Leo and his Sun in Scorpio. Sun square Sun means that you seem to be going in different places in life. Your general wants and wishes and goals just normally aren't in sync. At least initially. That can change, depending on the other synastry aspects. Depending on each person's placements. IP: Logged |

That's the sign combo of my aunt and uncle. They've been married over 30 years and seem happy enough. It's funny though, now that I think about it, the times I've heard them argue were very Scorpio/Leo. He's the Leo and he'd huff and puff, yelling for about 15 minutes. She's the Scorpio and she'd stay silent during his tirade. Once he tired himself out, she'd give him the silent treatment until he'd win her back...buy her flowers or do some housework. He's so whipped. The more I look at synastry and reflect on my own relationships, the more convinced I become that for love relationships, Sun-Sun compatibility isn't that significant. For love and a harmonious relationship, I'd look more at Venus aspects to the other's Sun or Moon. For sexual attraction attraction and compatibility, Mars aspects to Venus and Moon. And the angles are extremely important. Ideally, there will be a "loving" planet (Venus or Moon) of one partner conjunct the other's ASC, and the ASC person would then have the other person's "ego" planet (Sun or Mars) conjunct their DSC. Sun-Moon aspects are, of course, influential as well. From what I've seen, things like that matter much more than Sun-Sun compatibility and will significantly impact how the two sun signs get along. My Moon is in Leo and my high school boyfriend had both his Sun and Moon in Scorpio. We were both very stubborn, although being a mutable Sag sun I appeared more flexible since I'm more comfortable with using varying means to get the end I want. In the end, our mutual pride and stubbornness is probably what caused us to break up suddenly and not speak to the other ever again. We both wanted the other to admit they were wrong. IP: Logged |

BLKFox,I always found that the hardest square aspect between two signs was between Scorpio and Leo, being two fixed signs, both being excessively dominant, being water and fire respectively.. As a Scorpio female, in my past, i've had so many negative experiences with Leos, especially leo men. Everything about their personalities annoyed me! Then, recently I began seeing a coworker (Leo male) who couldnt be more leo(sun,mercury,venus and mars in leo..aqua moon, ascendant in Scorp). We've known eachother for 1 year but only recently started being romantically involved. I must admit though, for some reason, the sparks were always there. And since we've started seeing eachother we cannot spend enough time together, talking, hugging, kissing and being affectionate. He's so gentle and warm, I love being with him...So far... I guess the moral of the story is, sometimes it can work, though I do admit this is still new and who knows what will happen long term. JANE, I applaud you wholeheartedly because everything you wrote about synastry and the aspects for romance and attraction I believe to be true.
Outer planets and house aspects play important roles in synastry but when it comes down to it, you cannot neglect the fundamentals, the meat and potatoes of love aspects, when it comes to the womans sun to the mans moon and the venus and mars aspects for attraction and sexual compatibility!
I guess me and my leo lover are just an anomaly! I'm Sun in Scorp

Well, I'm a Leo Sun and one of my dearest and best friends (also an Ex) is a Scorpio Sun. Can you believe it?! The reason why things go pretty smooth between us is because I've got Asc, Saturn and Pluto in Scorpio and he has Jupiter and Juno in Leo. (Also our Venus' are trine...) So other aspects reduce the chance of our ego's clashing, etc. ------------------
