http://www.agu.org/pubs/crossref/2006/2006EO100002.shtml They are protoplanets. Aside from being much larger than other asteroids, these 3 are compositionally very different bec they show signs of diffrentiation from inner to outer layers just like planets. They have cores, mantles and crusts. They have always seemed to me to be much more significant than other asteroids (within the asteroid belt). Their compositional uniqueness seems to underscore this fact. The only reason the IAU didnt categorize vesta and pallas as dwarf planets is because they are not totally spherical but the real mark of their planetariness, it seems to me, is their differentiated layers and geologically diverse topograhies. I found a link on Vesta. He states that Vesta is very significant in synastry and always shows up in meaningful relationships. I`ve grown intrigued with Vesta; I think because it is conjunct my Sun-Venus-midpoint and Transit Pluto is currently going back and forth over my Vesta (it is on 1° Capricorn natally). http://astrologue.sitesled.com/essays/019.html IP: Logged |

Ive seen that site. When researching vesta a while back I noticed it. I agree. I think vesta is absolutely indispensable in significant relationships of the non-family kind and is almost always in aspect in marriage. It is about genuine friendship and loyalty. IP: Logged |
