"Continuous Emotional Reassurance" - Good lord yes. I hate it, but I definitely fall into the cancer stereotype of needing this. Here are a few other things that touch me or make me happy: Being known – I think most Cancers work really hard to “get other people” but the favor is so rarely returned. Having someone that takes the time to really KNOW us – is so beautiful. I feel so touched when someone actually notices when I’m a little blue, and tries to cheer me up. Or takes the time to really ask how my day was, and sincerely listen to the answer. I really appreciate people that take the time to know what makes me tick, and do those “little things” they know will mean something to me when I need them the most. Seriously, when I meet someone that takes the time to do these things – it makes me want to cry. Being nurtured – It’s not quite the same as being babied, but it’s close. I don’t mean in a cutesy little princess way, but having someone that knows when to tuck me into bed, or to put on my favorite “rainy day” movie, or to make me a nice warm bowl of chicken soup means the world to me. Lord knows I try to do the same for my friends and lovers. Deep discussion – I love talking about philosophy, spirituality, and the deeper things of life. I could probably come up with quite a few more things, but these were what came to mind right off the bat. Hopefully they help some. : )

My best friend is a Cancer sun, Aries ascendant. I've known her since 5th grade and we're both now 38, so I think it's safe to say I know her well. What makes her happy: Food, either a new recipe prepared well by her, or (preferably) eating at a great restaurant. She'll talk about a good meal for days. Getting together with her friends. She has to keep in touch with everyone and have deep conversations on a regular basis. She sends b-day cards to all her friends with mushy messages about how much she loves you, sometimes with corny rhymes in them. Being acknowledged by her husband in the way of birthday and anniversary or Mother's Day gifts. One year (the first they were married) there was a card only for Mother's Day - no gift. She ripped him a new one, poor guy. Making sure her husband and son are well dressed, preferably in Ralph Lauren Polo, and it all has to match. Her house being neat and clean. Her bank account growing. She works two jobs to ensure this. Those are the big ones. IP: Logged |

My husband is a Cancer sun, and my mom and best friend from high school are Cancer sun too. Here's what I think makes them happy:-Showing sensitivity towards their feelings -Being pampered, such as taking care of their physical well-being and showering them with little gifts from time to time -Your 100% devotion and attention -Being in a committed relationship -Being reassured of your love for them frequently (physical + verbal) -Family and children -Caring for their loved ones -Financial security

Cancer Sun, Mercury and Mars here...with Virgo Moon, Pluto, S Node, Vertex, and Vesta, Aquarius ASC, Leo Venus and DSC, Scorpio MC and Neptune (the tightest conjunction in my chart), Taurus IC, Juno and Saturn, Libra Jupiter and Uranus, Pisces NNode, Anti-Vertex, Pholus and Pallas, Aries Chiron and Ceres, Gemini Nessus and Karma, Sagittarius Part of Fortune. Sorry but Sun signs only tell a small percentage of the story so I can never just narrow it down to the Sun sign or even just Sun, Moon and ASC.What makes me emotionally happy? all things artistic and creative (music, painting, photography, making jewelry, altering objects and turning them into art or just making them more aesthetically pleasing, writing poetry, short stories, journaling, etc.) reading a great book watching a great movie eating a great meal fun outings: concerts, opera, theater, stand-up comedy shows, Cirque du Soleil, art festivals, museums, cultural events, Miami Heat basketball games, Florida Marlins baseball games, restaurants and pubs, etc. (I could go on and on so I'll stop there) being outdoors in nature and feeling attuned to the divine beauty of nature hiking in beautiful places (and taking pictures) living in Colorado (even though a part of me will always be a Florida girl) cooking (I definitely nurture others through food) travel (especially going to Paris, Italy and England) taking a cruise or being on or near the ocean or any other body of water taking aromatherapy baths swimming working with crystals deep meditation aligning with my Higher Mind and my Higher Self and writing down the insights that flow into my conciousness, then meditating on it working on cleansing, healing and/or balancing my aura and chakras through the use of crystals, color healing, sound healing, symbols, visualisation, etc. studying astrology - especially advanced, soul-centered astrology that focuses on past lives and present life goals for growth and evolution anything that assists me in my personal growth and spiritual evolution having great talks with soulmates who are on the same wavelength having a quantum leap in conciousness being with animals aromatherapy massages cuddling romance seeing kindness and goodness in others being financially secure feeling safe from harm freedom people in my life who I can trust - people who are loyal, devoted, considerate and understanding yet also know how to give me lots of space helping others inspiring others with my music, art and photography healing others with crystals, sound/music, color, reiki and other healing modalities making metaphysical/shamanic jewelry for others (such as healing amulets, bracelets, earrings, etc.) peace, serenity, zen-like atmospheres my home being a sanctuary that is clean, neat and uncluttered, in order and in harmony, with good feng shui balance IP: Logged |

God, I love Cancer women. These are good lists. I've noticed that Cancers seem to have an affinity for the Orient and for Oriental things.

winky_winky: I totally agree. While its such a simple statement, it requires tremendous control when their moods are shifting.Kat: Such an Awesome list It is lovely. All those food items scare me, she has gained 15 pounds after we got engaged. I love those extra pounds though Beautiful gardens sound exciting. I am planning a trip soon. Poetic nature sounds most difficult Love: That is so true. she manipulates me as if she is a very bad cook. Then, she will create a situation that I don't like her food. And IF after that manipulation, I still say that it is an awesome dish.. She is all excited And, her Childhood pet is a very loving memory for her. Massaging is what I need..
Isolaede: Being known is hardest for Cancer women, I know. Because, she acts as a mother and tries to hide her emotions. She feels afraid that I will start to know her more deeply. But I am penetrating. Being nurtured: It's so difficult for me to do it but I guess my Cancer ASC is coming in handy. Deep discussion - there is plenty.. and it is awesome.. IP: Logged |

Jugular: It is always awesome to hear about Cancer women from her Scorp girl friends.. well there are only a handful whom Cancers trust and she has trusted you.. so you know her quite well..Awesome suggestion on good meals, she does that often. House being neat and clean, I am not very good at .. She hates me for not keeping my stuff clean.. Bank account.. will have to deal with it.yinyang: I love your list. And, you know .. showing sensitivity is equally difficult and easy for me.. Being a Scorp, its so easy to pick up on sensitivity.. but behind Cancer's sensitivity many times lies Superstition.. sometimes ridiculous Superstition and it is so so so hard for me to emotionally show sensitivity to Superstition.. but I am working on it Tigerlilly: Awesome and lovely list.. Totally Cool.. and there you go, your Virgo moon projecting with lovely details.. Aromatherapy Baths is next .. this one is going to be awesome because I know for sure she has never imagined I will plan an Aromatherapy bath event I cleansed her Chakra once and she fainted because her Yoni chakra felt tremendous currents.. but she is going to give me another chance.. I am learning Feng sui and hoping she will love it.. HSC: I feel same way as you do All: Thank you so much for your replies.. You and your loved ones are all invited to an Awesome Cookout event being planned at Pluto.. Upon our return, we shall visit Moon. I am waiting for more people to join...Come on Cancer women who have not replied, Universe is listening to your needs.. Don't you want to help.. IP: Logged |

belgz, thank you Patience - Totally agree..I utilize self control to create patience.. tolerance - I am so sad about this one With so much of intensity in the 5th house, I don't find tolerance.. I am hoping that I can be more tolerant - something to learn from my opposite sign Taureans.. and dont be a sook we need a strong man that is a softy but never shows it i cant stand weak creaturesi need someone to protect me from everything and he cant be a mental drainer like me he has to be independant kinda but have the right dosage Thank you thank you thank you This is something that comes so nicely in Scorps because we have immense strength, will power and intensity yet very strong ability to pick up on emotions and softness in others.. And, I know this is one of the strongest point she loves about me.. good point on mental drainer.. IP: Logged | |
