MY Venus is located in the 8th house in Taurus and makes no major aspects to other planets except an inconjunction with Uranus. I was just wondering what that spells out for my love life because I haven't heard very good things about singletons...anyone with any insight?

shes a gemini too, but with leo moon. i told her, i dont think love/relationships are going to be a top priority for her in this life. in this lifetime, its all about focusing on herself, and being independent..what tends to happen when she gets in relationships is drama, and masochistic scenarios. i always say she can do better, i think she has problems with believing it. soulmates/love/getting married isnt something very big for north node aries folks.

Hmm thats interesting because i find that relationships are too much of a priority for me (jupiter in 7th and rising Libra) I am all about finding the one and being with the right person. And im just wondering if that singleton speaks some kind of doom because good relationships don't run in my family

quote: "soulmates/love/getting married isnt something very big for north node aries folks."

i beg to differ. i can't breathe if i don't have love/give love/have soulmates/get married. for me, north node in aries means that my direction in life should be getting a healthy independence in relationships, how to assert the self*.

The current state i guess depends on the rest of your chart, like she is gem sun, leo moon, quite contrary to say, pisces sun, pisces moon etc.. AND anything that happens outside of astrology.

North Node in Aries and/or in the First House

With North Node in Aries, our South Node is in Libra. With North Node in the first house, our South Node is in the seventh house.

Co-dependency, indecisiveness, and a tendency for problems in one-to-one relationships are some of the issues this position suggests. With this position, we need to learn to love ourselves, to trust our instincts, to lead without fear. We tend to fall back on co-dependent relationships due to a fear of independence and of standing alone. We are indecisive and don't trust our instincts. We fear expressing our independent wishes and asserting ourselves because we prefer the comfort of being considered "good" people. Learning to act on our impulses, which implies a certain amount of self-confidence, is one of the lessons of this position. Learning that we can in fact live alone, which is a big fear of this position, will bring us to a point where we can offer ourselves to others in one-to-one partnership in a more balanced, healthy manner. Striving for internal peace, rather than focusing on achieving peace and balance in relationships, will improve our relationships and bring us happiness and satisfaction.

An interesting link on this one:
http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/venus/venus.htm

And from "Astrological Voids" by Janis Huntley:

quote:
Without the strength of a closely aspected planet to help activate it, Venus tends to lose its identity within ideals of love, beauty and peace. Sometimes, however, the earthy, sensual side of Venus becomes rampant, leading to an unhealthy obsession with material wealth, possessions and/or sexual activity. When handled positively, unaspected Venus possesses a natural homing instinct for financial security, and one would expect fo find many unaspected venus subjects who are married, related or attached in some way to famous or wealthy people, their affluence and security being thus ensured.

She goes on to describe some of her sample subjects (for unaspected Venus only 6 people out of the 400 charts she assessed), saying there was nothing to make them stand out from the crowd except for "their attractive appearances, polite natures and well-respected characters". She says that:

quote:
Unaspected Venus projects strong Venusian qualities regardless of the sign it occupies, but it is usually more prominent in an open house

-> meaning houses 1,3,5,7,9 or 11

quote:
At least three of my six examples are known to have led restricted or problematic lives as regards relationships. the bounteous assets which an unasepcted Venus confer - abundant love and affection, a desire for harmony and an appreciation of beauty - are not easily recognised or incorpated into the subject's life.

Venus can tend to be the giver rather than the taker, she goes on to say.

Triple Pisces - thats very true, i myself am very relationship oriented despite NN in Aries...but probably because i am a Libra asc.

Blue Moon - thank you so much for the info. Thats really good stuff. My Venus is in the 8th but in its own sign of Taurus.
Ya I am a bit more of the giver...that sucks though I am tired of crazy love lives...seriously they are nuts...also because I am a Scorpio moon conjunct Pluto. But my bf and I right now are pretty good despite the occasional explosions. I just wish to know there won't be something out of no where to knock me down. Thanks for the help
