Imagine the following scenario. Two coworkers are in the conference room preparing for a meeting. They are chatting when a third coworker walks in.

CW1 I read in the paper this morning that a drunk driver was arrested for driving with a half-empty six pack on the roof of his car.

CW2 No way! haha!

CW1 Yeah, appearantly this wasn't even the first time it happened to him.

CW2 Wow! [CW3 enters the conference room] Some people never learn! [Conversation ends]

Now if CW3 is an air, fire or earth sign, she might chime in jovially "Oh yeah, some people never learn what?" or she might not even hear the comment as she is occupied with her own thoughts. But if CW3 is a water sign, you better believe she heard the last comment. She won't say anything to her coworkers, but will instead spend the entire meeting convinced that they were talking about her. She will replay the comment in her head, imagining all kinds of reasons why her coworkers think she never learns. When she tells you about it later, she will mention how the conversation stopped as soon as she entered the room. This is proof that they were talking about her. Why do water signs do this? It drives me crazy.

Its sounds like oversensitivity, excessive self analysis & too much personalising. Water signs or heavy water influenced people tend to be more sensitive (especially Pisces) & can have permeable boundaries so they internalise/absorb & think too much which triggers their underlying assumptions about themselves. They can find it hard to be objective. They then assume that people share their self-belief & that others are talking about them (when it could be an innocent conversation). You'll find that when a heavy water person speaks they often personalise & refer back to their life or experience instead of talking about things in an abstract or theoretical manner. This is also apparent with Moon in close aspect to Mercury = subjective & reflective thinkers.

Heavy water people are cool though, they can be very empathetic people

Uhhh... I constantly over analyze how people think of me and my big three are in air signs. I only have 2 water placements (Venus & Pluto) and 1 Earth placement (Neptune).

I have to admit, I can totally be like three. BUT I need more than something that innocent to actually believe it. I'm good at reading people's behaviour, so I will pay attention after something like that. If the person is talking about me, eventually I will be able to ferret it out.
