Conjunct my sun in the fifth, I enjoy academic studies and it comes naturally to me... conjunct my Mercury, I love to communicate academic ideas.

Sextiling my Mars, I've always been very motivated by and for academic pursuits... and sextiling my Saturn, I have very good staying power and commitment when it comes to this part of my life.

I should also add that I'm a Sag rising and the ruler of my 9th is the sun, which as I said is in my 5th (plus my chart ruler is in 5th). So the academia and teaching thing is already spelled out in my chart, but this asteroid just makes it very loud and clear! It's so funny.

i actually took it that you were meant to teach me something. it's your academia - so your knowledge - on my north node - my direction. that's my interpret - that's how i always look at it. have i been doing this wrong?

BTW there is an asteroid "Saucier" (it`s the comparative of saucy isn`t it?), and it is in my 7th house conjunct my Karma and trines my Moon. lol

I'm a 5th house sun too!

My Academia is in Taurus in my 7th. It doesn't really form any tight aspects to anything, but it's right on the money. I never watch TV, but if I do, it's watching shows on cooking or home improvement! That sounds like learning Taurean stuff to me!

It's also interesting that when I'm in a relationship, I always love to learn about whatever area of "expertise" that person has developed. My ex was into all things oceana. His work and his hobbies...diving, kayaking, salt water tanks. I don't always end up enjoying their interests to the same level, but I love learning about new things that way. (However, I'm not so likely to go pick up a book on marine biology just to learn about something new!) So, I guess I'm inclined to learn through relationship! (My NN is also in Taurus in my 7th!)

as in just naturally, from who he is - even from just being. when he looks at you you can see it - it's just in him emanating out to you and to you it's understood without any other exchange.

It`s fun. One time I`m going to search for the naughtier asteroids like wild or lust (BTW Patrick`s Draco Lust is conjunct my Draco Moon, my DSC and exactly opposite my Mars. It`s actually opposite his Fox and forms a T-square with his ERos-Amor-opposition )

It is 2.5 deg from my saturn and oddly square (2 deg) my chiron in the 1st/aries. Academia is retro just like my saturn. I guess I was a teacher of some sort in a previous life.

I don't have teaching qualifications but enrolled twice in a Dip Ed but quit on both occasions because I didn't philosophically agree with the teaching paradigms they were offering. I've tutored in a private and formal capacity though and I enjoy it because for some reason, it feels so easy for me to do. My 9th house ruler (jup) is actually on my ASC in the first and I have venus in my 9th in sag.

I wasn't intending to be back as GL75 but it was a slip of the keyboard/force of habit. But you're right, the change does seem very much transit-related!

Well my teaching career has been quite varied! I trained to teach kids but I'm also qualified to teach high school English and Film & Media Studies. But I ended up tutoring Film & Media Studies for four/five years in the university dept. where I studied. From there I went into developing educational resources in the area of natural/complementary health... which then moved into developing and editing resources for pretty much any subject. Which then led into doing online course stuff... which led to me teaching an online course *for* online educators, and for the past four years teaching an online course for public servants. So I've ended up pretty off-track from where I started... lol.
