I posted this on the Free Course board but didn't get an answer. It's practically dead in there. I printed out the whole tutorial from that wilsonctc site but I still can't do the geometry on trines, oppositions, etc. I know it's about degrees but I thought if two were side by side or practically touching that was a conjuction, but in this synastry chart Mars and Moon are like that and all the auto chart calculators call it a square. They all say something different. That has me really confused because they also say we've got sun conjunct moon. Are they close enough to be conjunct? Math is NOT my strong suite. I see that HE has sun conjunct moon BUT how is mine conjunct in synastry???? How do you do this, just eyeball it or do you use a protractor? lol

You have to click the chart 2-3 times to get it full size. If somebody could clear this up I'd appreciate it.

Hi Stillatlarge,

And Happy belated Birthday to you.

You are correct that you are seeing Moon conjunct Mars in the synastry. This is where you get to have an ego and trust yourself as an astrologer against all the computer generated reports, etc. Those reports make mistakes all the time. It's the same with some of the charts they calculate.

I'm no math wizard myself but when I'm desperate to see how things work astrologically, I tend to spend extra time fine tuning the measurements.

I use Astro.com a great majority of the time but even they tend to miss some important aspects, especially in synastry charts. My suggestion to you is to actually DRAW the chart out on a piece of paper and write the degree numbers next to the planet symbols, then you will put the other persons planets on the same chart but in a different color ink or pencil (whichever you prefer) then you draw your own lines and you'll see what the computers are missing.

I know it sounds like a lot of work, but you may find yourself really getting into it because it starts to feel organic and you may actually feel the energy of the relationship under your hands. It's kind of like being a lawyer and only trusting yourself to get the details of your presentation correct.

Then you really start to feel totally KICK-A$$!!!

I know you can do it. You've got the passion and the brains, girl!!

Yes, that's true.

There is no square between any Mars and any Moon in that chart. Your Moon is conjunct his Mars. His Moon is roughly opposite your Mars.

Yeah, only he has Sun conjunct Moon. You guys don't have that aspect in synastry.

Just eyeball it, using the aspect lines to help if need be.

yes, Geo is right.. Astro software does miss out some very important aspects in synastry!

I list the natals on my computer and then do it visually... then l can also save it!
