I know you like the passion and fire generated by squares. Hello? I am not blind and deaf and actually READ your postings.

I think squares could be a sign of a strong, yet unstable attraction, but compatibility that is a different thing.

All these squares can get difficult in the long run, of course, but they also bring great fascination, which is easier to handle than a quinkunx or no aspect at all.

Of course if oyu donīt like a heated discussion now and then, you probably would dislike someone with whom you share many squares.

It depends on the people involved. Both, Ashton as well as Demi, have challenging charts in itself.

Uranus squares Ashton`s Aquarius-stellium, along with Venus opposing Saturn.
Mars squares Demi`s fullmoon from Taurus to Scorpio.

I can`t imagine those two would ever be satisfied in a very harmonious, not-challenging relationship. They need that fire.

If they had all personal planets in Libra and Cancer and natally only sextiles and trines, they probably would really dislike so much square action.

You're right DD, as ALWAYS! ^_^

I think that when you do a synastry chart you really should take into consideration each individuals natal chart. I mean, if you have Sally and Jim who have a lot of conjunctions and oppositions in their synastry chart that could seem great! But not if Sally has mainly trines and sextiles in her natal. She wouldn't know what to do with herself! Or Jim. Or the relationship.

They both seek challenge and want to be kept on their toes...not surprising they have been together as long as they have, the attraction seems to still be going strong...its true about people with rougher natal charts, they need that friction within their relationships (shown in the synastry) to keep them going and feeling truly alive. Or else the interest just dies off.

Sun in Libra
Moon in Cancer
Jupiter in Cancer
Venus in Virgo
Mars in Cancer
Ascendant in Cancer

yeah - really good point. it could be the opposite too - depending on who belongs to which planets - she could be calming to him.

Why would Sally be thrown by lots of conjunctions or oppositions? Too intimate/profound/intense?

Of course these conjunctions/oppositions would be in sextile or trine to her other planets since that's the pattern of her chart, so it could be amazing.

Anyway, so the theory is if someone had a couple of stelliums in their chart - that conjunctions in synastry would feel most natural to them?

If they had lots of personal squares, then synastry squares would be the most natural and enjoyable (even if challenging) to them?

I don't agree with that, from personal experience.

I have a seriously huge stellium/1st house made up of ALL my personal planets and if i have more than one or two conjunctions to it, the person drives me nuts and l feel like they are sitting on me.

I prefer anything BUT conjunctions!!

Really Lara?

I asked this on another thread: are synastry stellium conjunctions felt as too intimate or suffocating?

yes they are.

For me, anyway... my WORST relationships are when someone's saturn or something similar (which is the case with someone my age) is sitting on my
moon
venus
saturn
NN
because it seems to ricochet throughout my 1st house (which also has sun/mercury/mars) in it.
l hate it!!!

I am highly attracted to Aries men but l need them to have different planets to move my stuck energy into different areas of the chart! I am attracted to air in a man too, in either moon/AC except for Libra lol

For example, my ex husband and l had these aspects....
his sun conjunct my moon/venus/saturn/NN
his moon conjunct my DC
his mercury/venus conjunct my chiron/AC
his mars conjunct my sun/mercury
his saturn conjunct my moon/venus/saturn/NN/AC!!!
his NN conjunct my moon/venus/NN
his AC opposes my sun/mercury

my sun conjunct his mars and DC
my moon conjunct his sun/saturn/NN
my mercury conjunct his mars (and he would argue with everything l said!)
my venus conjunct his sun/saturn/NN/DC
my saturn conjunct his sun/mercury/saturn/NN/DC
my NN conjunct his sun/saturn
my chiron conjunct his sun/moon/chiron
my chiron opposes his moon/uranus
my AC opposes his moon
my AC conjunct his mercury/venus/saturn/chiron

and it was the WORST relationship ever. I have 2 kids with him, have been divorced for 3 years now and he has tried to kill me, he threatens me all the time, he stalks me, he turns my kids against me, he is violent and texts me abusively on a weekly basis.

If l knew then what l do now, i never in a million years would have gone anywhere near him. Knowing him has completely ruined my life and l spend a lot of my time fighting to keep my head above water.
My favourite dream is where l observe him getting run over by a bus lol

the one thing that drives him crazy is that l am stronger than him and he will never win with me!

Bloody hell girl.

Well, I'm glad to hear you're out of that marriage. Even if he's not far away enough yet. I know someone who emigrated to get away from her ex

Does his natal chart show his psycho tendencies?

I have no idea Bvanzy if his natal chart does or not, how would l know please? My divorce lawyer who has been one of top lawyers in London for over 25 years told me that she never ever came across someone as evil and dangerous as him. If l tried to emigrate he would def kill me or take my kids.

He has already kidnapped them once, for a whole week! You wouldn't believe what he has done.. he's very insecure which makes him dangerous as he is volatile and a victim to his own emotions.

He hasn't contacted us for about 3 weeks now so hopefully a London bus finally got him! lol

anyway, stelliums can be a down fall sometimes, if the other person has such a similar chart.

I`m really shocked to hear this, Lara. He must be a real psycho.

Yet, astrologically speaking, I have a Stellium in Sagittarius (actually two) in my 1st house, including my DC-ruler, and I just LOVE conjunctions in synastry.
But ruler of 7 in 1 seems to imply that I seek for someone who can mirror me.

Also, the Sun-Mercury-conjunction in Sag only has a weak sextile to Uranus, but no hard aspects.
And the Mars, Neptune, NN, ASC-Mars-stellium has a sextile to Pluto and only a square to Jupiter, which is not that bad in itself.
so I guess the reason I love conjunctions to these placements may also be, that they are not really challenged in my natal. So I like to see my own reflection in the other one (Gosh, I sound like a narcist. lol)

In this case, I'd say it might be less a case of you and he being similar, as him being a psycho and you sharing intense synastry with a psycho (it was good enough for you to marry him), that is no reflection on you whatsoever.

And ruler of the 7th in the 7th would mean the same or need someone almost exactly like them?

A nicely aspected natal stellium might be in a better position to deal with conjunctions to that stellium (and not feel suffocated) rather than someone for whom their stellium triggers a nasty natal square (or a square from the other).

Yes DD, the reality is that he IS a real psycho and now i'm stuck with him for life!
Karma sucks sometimes

If you guys want i'll start a thread and put up your natals and synastry so you can see the dynamic.

He was so verbally abusive and put me down so much that when l finally walked out of our marriage, l was about as close to being destroyed that l think i'll ever be.

xx

A bit off-topic, but I like the way he has his hair cut now--to the top of the shoulder and pulled back behind his ears. If I cut my hair, that's what I would do.
