Last year I had asked for a kindred spirit to enter my life, and so a few months ago i met someone new at work. I felt myself unusually drawn to him as he just appeared suddenly!Anyway we are friends now.

As I am deep thinker i wanted to know if there was anything karmic or fated about this connection and so I looked up mine and his astrological birth data and found that my vertex in virgo is conjunct his sun in virgo.

My vertex falls in my 7th house of partnerships (which is my descendant) This shows my descendant to be conjunct his sun.

Can anyone tell me more about these vertex aspects and do you think this friendship is fated in anyway?

I only ask as I find myself unusually drawn to him and I am pretty sure its mutual!

Well vertex, certainly brings feelings of fatedness, I'm sure its felt both ways too but maybe more on your side since you are the vertex. The vertex is like a door that is triggered to be opened when transits occur or when planets fall on it from another. His sun on your vertex in the 7th and virgo suggests that his ego/himself (sun) opens your door. 7th house is about relationships (one-on-one, friendships, marriages etc) and being in virgo, it might give it a virgo quality about it.

If you want to know if meeting this person was fate, look at both of your progressed vertex's and see if one or the other conjuncts a natal Venus... then it's definitely fate.

Also look at your progressed Venus to see if it conjuncts your natal Vertex.

I'm not sure what a 'progressed' vertex/venus is! But i do know that his vertex is in gemeni which conjuncts my mars and trines by venus and mercury.
