Weird - I was about to start a topic about how frustrating it is to have Pisces Mars...

What do you want to know? I have so much restlessness with this sign that I can go on for pages about the negatives and positives of this placement.

Just everything I'm not really sure how these people operate. Wouldn't neptune take away a bit of the directness?

For me it works out as a vivid imagination, excellent visualisation ability, and vivid and/or psychic dreams. It also squares my Neptune in the 12th. I'm also very interested in energy healing (I heard that Venus in 6th is good for this - which also happens to square my Mars). And I'm quite energy-sensitive sometimes.

Physically, I do suffer from a lack of physical energy much of the time and I don't really think I have a good resistance to stress. It's not insurmountable, but it does take a bit of extra work for me to feel full of energy. Having Jupiter in Aries I love physical exercise, and when I'm taking advantage of this then I feel excellent. Otherwise though a lot of energy-sapping stuff seems to have happened to me - anaemia, chronic fatigue, Epstein-Barr Virus, candidiasis, getting generally run down, and at the moment I feel like I'm tired because of stress and dealing with what is now chronic pain. I just had a blood test for my vitamin B12 levels today, so we will see what shows up there.

However, I don't consider myself to be weak or overly gentle. I've withstood a lot, and I'm also not one of those soft, dreamy types.

Sexually and attraction wise, I consider it to be mutable and I often like men who are a bit mutable or feminine. I also find it attractive when men are spiritual or interested in occult-type stuff (but nothing dark or spooky).

Also, I prefer to avoid confrontation - but that doesn't mean it always works out that way. When confronted with an assh*le-type person, I have been known to stand there and argue, swear at them and generally be more aggressive (verbally) than most women would be. This is probably my Scorpio moon opposite Mercury and my Pluto square ASC at work, so I'm not totally debilitated by it.

Growing up, I had a lot of problems with assertiveness. I wasn't passive aggressive about what I wanted - just sort of behind the scenes about my ambitions. I have Cap Neptune in the 3rd House... with Pisces Mars I express myself in writing and a lot of philosophy. But I also have Gemini Merc/Venus in the 9th so I rely more on wit than symbolics... if that makes sense. If you've ever encountered a Pisces Merc, you might understand...

Anyways, I need a lot of time to myself to regenerate and get what I need done. I'm better working on my own, and actually - I've spent the past four days in total silence by myself. The longest I've spoken to anyone is about two minutes every once in awhile when my Dad calls me.

My Mars in the 5th House. I love running around (Pisces = feet), but I can't do meditation and I'm a bad swimmer (Cancer Sun/Scorpio Moon... you'd think I could swim but I'm somewhat pathetic, lol, to be quite honest... ). A lot of my injuries are to my feet. I've sprained my ankle three times this summer, but it's nothing new.

I often feel like my every day life is a dream (Pisces 6th house and my Mars is 3 degrees from the cusp), and that I have very few moments where everything I feel is completely in reality. Usually those moments are when I'm in danger or well... inebriated, as sad as that may sound. 99% of the time, though, it's when there's trouble about and I'm about to verbally battle it out with someone. As soon as the fight is over though, I just float away on my cloud again.

OH! I almost forgot the most important thing. Usually, people say that they feel physically unfit when they're emotionally unbalanced or are upset. For me, my emotions change with my physical state which is highly effected by my environment. I have so many allergies; sometimes I think I'm allergic to LIFE, lol. When I get sick, which always happens when the season begins to change, my immune system goes on hiatus and then I get really upset because I hate being sick and unable to just float around and do what I want. I feel trapped by my own body in that sense. My physical state has never been affected by how I feel, however. It has always been the other way around.

Hmmm... I'm not usually attracted to Pisces Men. I've dated maybe two or three... casual dating, nothing serious and it has never gotten serious. I do tend to fall for the artistic types - a lot of them in film.

I can't think of anything else to say, right now... I'm sure I'll come back with more after I drift away to Dreamland. I'm starting to get tired because I took some Mucinex and Benadryl to fight off these ragweed allergies. Damn you, Autumn.

I would really like to know about what Mars in Pisces is like as well.

So far, from what I've read on a few sites and your posts here, it doesn't really ring a bell for me but supposedly (I'm not a 100% sure because my exact birth time isn't known) I am one. So I'm extra curious.

Any links to what you guys think are good solid descriptions of Mars in Pisces folks?

A-ha.

My son has this placement. It is strongly entwined with Uranus and the Sun. He most certainly is not passive aggressive. Independent-spirited, self-willed, tough, certain of his path in life, yes.

My dad also has this, with the birth time he gave me it makes also makes him Pisces Rising. I'm not sure about that, I'd have put him more Aries. But, he has Pisces Mars alright. It Squares a Taurus/Gemini Stellium of Sun/Uranus/Jupiter/Venus/Mercury. He has bundles of energy, is far fitter and healthier than most men his age, and is certainly not a passive person who will stand being dictated to.

Best way I can describe Pisces Mars in his life is that he is a community activist in his private life. As a kid it was normal to have the phone constantly ringing and the door knocking with people asking for help, advice and action on local issues. His career was in social care and health ~ so that found another way to combine the compassionate energies of Pisces Mars and practical Taurus.

The other thing I would point to is the ability to multi-task. Pisces is opposite detail orientated Virgo (my mother's Mars sign). Pisces can look at the whole picture and draw in various strands. Virgo finishes the final details.

Definitely in my case. But it's not something that can't be overcome. I've had times where I feel amazing - where I realise, "hey so this is how other people get to feel most of the time!" It just takes us a bit of extra work to get over that lack of energy, get on top of it and maintain the energy levels. When I don't pay attention then I get into a slump one way or another. For me, it's really a matter of knowing my body extremely well and making sure I get enough sleep, water, vitamins, healthy raw food (which I haven't done in long time until only recently), stress relief, and moderate exercise. If I don't keep all of that up, then my body pays the price seemingly worse than other people seem to have to deal with. I also need to remember to rest and recharge often, and to get enough alone time.

Oh and I have this annoying drive to empathise with other people's problems. Personally I don't think it's done me much good, as I can tend to take on other people's emotional energy. Plus I cry at anything sad on TV. The tears just well up and I look like one of those Japanese cartoons with the big eyes and waterfalls for tears.

The best I've found so far. It mentions what can happen when stirred to action ~> Compassion.
http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/marsinsigns_pg2.html

quote:
Mars in Pisces
Mild-tempered and gentle, these guys and gals move through life in a manner that can hardly be considered direct. Mars is the planet of action and assertion, and Pisces is a passive sign that rarely asserts itself in a direct fashion. So the placement of Mars in Pisces is an unusual combination. Sometimes prone to feelings of guilt about their anger, and difficulties with asserting themselves, Mars in Pisces individuals seem to "go with the flow". This is certainly not a very active position for Mars, and natives will often let life "happen" instead of trying to control their life direction. This is a charming position, as individuals with Mars in Pisces don't appear like they are capable of harming a fly. However, those that don't find creative expression for this energy can stir up a storm through indirect aggression.

Mars in Pisces people are not averse to playing games to get what they want, although even they don't always know exactly what they do want! Their desires are changeable and moody, and it's hard to really know where these natives stand on any particular issue. Alternatively, some Mars in Pisces people do take a stand on issues that are Piscean in nature, making compassion and love their mission.

Energy levels fluctuate a lot, coming in bursts of activity followed by inertia. Because it can be difficult to align this ebbing and flowing of energy in the day-to-day world as it is, finding a job that supports this may be tough. The happiest Mars in Pisces individuals are those that have a creative outlet that allow them to express their desires of the moment, their compassion—and even their anger—freely and imaginatively. An example of Mars in Pisces is Bono, lead singer of U2, who seems to have found the perfect outlet for his creativity through his music, and as a spokesperson for love and compassion.

There are 45 pages of famous examples on Astrotheme ~ including Elton John. Certainly not known for being too coy to voice his opinion.

You speak of signs and wonders
But I need something other
I would believe if I was able
But I'm waiting on the crumbs from your table

Mars Square Jupiter. Tons of energy.

Taurus stellium, a practical man. So he just has to follow up the feeling with something concrete, something actual, something helpful.

Data from Astrotheme, suspiciously on the hour birth time.

Hey folks,

my SO has mars (and venus ) in pisces...i think it might be a little difficult for a man to have such a femminine sign for his mars? I struggle a little bit as i have libra venus and mars so am quite intellectual when it comes to emotional things (thats not to say my fiery leo moon doesnt cry or get upset) but yeah, i feel he is a softie underneath his confident demeanour. Plus his eyes are very watery (even though his asc is saggie) and sometimes when he gives me a look, i feel like i am drowning in a pool of dreamy water and that makes me feel soft and dreamy and less in my head.

just my thoughts,

Sparkling

My mars is in pisces but so is my venus and moon... does it help to have some of these other planets in the same sign? or does it just make it worse? my sun is in Aquarius and Mercury in Capricorn.

I have Mars in Pisces...trine Venus, square Moon, Uranus, Mercury..and in my 5th house.

I'm not a physically strong person..I have a lot of energy I just don't know where to direct it so I do nothing. I cry easily, am easily hurt, very "dreamy" and wishy washy. I'm not particularly submissive or dominant..I can go either way. I am very adaptable.

In partners I like them to be emotional, thoughtful, sexual, and more assertive than I am. I do NOT like effemininate guys at all..yuck!! However, when I really am interested in someone I WILL pursue them..and sometimes I will be blunt about it.

I often find myself having to adjust my diet. Lately, I've been eliminating dairy because my allergist suggested it. Dairy has now been replaced by soy. I know a few other Pisces Mars and well all have to watch what we eat because we can never really know what reaction our bodies will have to them. I've found that I'm far more sensitive to processed food than most. The environment and everything I put into my body really effect me.

MoonPixie..that is interesting..what I eat definitely affects my mood and general well-being. But I think most people are like that, maybe they just don't realize their feelings have a lot to do with the food they eat.

MoonPixie, I'm the same - I've had some very weird and disturbing reactions to foods at times. My body is quite sensitive in general - my osteopath knows this well and he says that I tend to be reactive (which is bad), and also very finely-tuned (which is both good and bad) - so if something's going to affect me badly, it's very bad, but on the other hand I have a very fast response time to positive treatment - what might take some people a day or two to respond to effectively, I respond to within seconds. So I think my Mars in Pisces gives me a state of heightened sensitivity - not just emotionally and spiritually, but physically too.

I'm not sure if this is just me, but sometimes when someone around me is frustrated my body reacts to it.

For example, I feel physically tired whenever someone is sad or just "down" about something even if I myself feel fine. Over this summer I was working at a summer camp, and whenever my Aries friend would get excited about playing frisbee or something I can feel my body perking up to play even if I really need to rest emotionally. It's kinda hard to explain, but hopefully I got my point across.

I sometimes think energy level can be low with Pisces Mars because our bodies are so entwined with its emotional atmosphere. And because feelings change all the time (esp. if you're a Cancer like me) and you're so focused on the external, it wears you down. It explains why so many of us have said that we need time to ourselves to regenerate and refocus.

@GemLover

Medicine and I have a hate/love relationship. Love because we get along so great , but hate because I'm a bit codependent upon medicine when I get sick. I don't get too sick too often actually, but when I get sick, I get SICKKKKK.

I'm surprised no one mentioned addiction. I dunno - the only addiction I ever had was smoking and that was more social than anything. I've never meddled with illegal substances or alcohol. Or well... not much alcohol. :P

Sounds like you're sensitive to emotional energies, MoonPixie. I have this to an extent. The worst part is when other people's stress stresses me out and gets me run down and what have you.

I actually have a paranoia about medical drugs, and even herbal medicines, because I know how reactive I can be. I even had a mild reaction to an iron injection once! I really feel that for Mars in Pisces, the best medicine is preventative medicine, and that it comes in its best form as emotional medicine - keeping happy, as well as eating good healthy foods, keeps our vibration high and we're less likely to fall ill. Well at least that's true in my case.

As for addictions, I don't really have any and never really have. Sugar was an issue several years ago, but then again that was caused by candidiasis. I had a minor caffeine addiction but I got over it and now I use caffeine minimally really. I have liked the odd painkiller in the past, and Valium, but nothing serious (ie it was only occasional and I can't say I got really addicted). I've tried pot a few times and I tried poppy tea once, but to be honest it was take it or leave it and I'm not interested in drugs overall. I have the odd drink but I tend to be quite sensitive to it, so I'm not a big drinker.
