hello, 10th house Moon people. I didn't know there were so many of us on here. Any thoughts on this placement?

I never know what to make of it. I'm not really career ambitious or interested in status symbols.

I work with the public, sort of, in a library. It's not really flamboyant employ. I just hide behind a desk with a cardigan and a computer screen.

10th house moon - public intimacy; feelings displayed in public.

The sign of the moon colours the type of intimacy that is shared.

Singers commonly have 10th house moons in sco or tau.

EDIT - Also emotions invested/directed into the public sphere/career/one's future direction or can mean simply emotional about one's career or one's career has some sort of emotional content.

you called?

I'm ambitious and career orientated but this doesn't, mean that I'm successful. I'm just driven, but that could be blamed on Jupiter conjunct (2 degrees) my AC. My Moon is exactly on the MC so that's probably why mine shows.

23- public intimacy, eh?

*oh, be still my filthy mind*

I'm a tenth house mooner. Mine's Gemini-ruled which is trine my sun and Uranus in the third. Nice. I seem to want to have a lot of interests. Definitely a lack of focus, which doesn't help a "career". But I have an interview a week today for what is possibly my dream job, which will use what I spent 6 years in university doing, so I am so excited. A job like that in a hick town like this is too good to be true. I definitely feel like I have ambition today.

another tenth house moon. mine is in cap conjunct mc. hell yeah i'm ambitious. i really want to become someone. to not be mediocre. my moon is conjunct neptune so it's rather hard to handle with all th projections, illusions and dreams

I read somewhere that that putts a lot of faith in being backed up by mothers or women. And if not can cause some severe issues.

Oh, and if i start singing, ur gonna be paying me to stop even if i do have 4 years of piano school finished

EDit: just occured to me, I did earn money distributing porn [and normal piracy also] for a while. so there just might be something about that myth

10th House Moon here! (And Sun and Mercury too!)

I don't know if I would say I'm ambitious in my career to the point where I need to climb corporate ladders or become a CEO, but my career is important to me in terms of how I see myself and self worth. I'm not a workaholic, but I feel that working fulfills me and gives my life a certain importance.

I think they say 10th house brings success in career, and public recognition, but honestly speaking I'm not that successful! haha.

I tried being a stay at home mom for 6 months, and felt I was not "complete". Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my daughter so much, and cherish every moment I spend with her, but I felt like something was "missing" when I wasn't working.

If I had to choose between my family and work, of course my family comes first...but career is a very close second!

Well hello there ladies. What a lovely group.

wheels - Good luck!

LadyNeptune - Which thread are you referring to? I'm curious.

My 10th house Moon is in Leo. It trines Neptune, sextiles Pluto, and squares Uranus (all 0-2º). It also squares Mercury (3º) and trines my Sun (6º).

I'm ambitious. But not so much by society's standards. I have my own list of things I want to accomplish and don't care too much about appearing successful to others. That's probably b/c I have my Moon forming an exact square with my first house Uranus.

Prioritizing my personal definition of success over other people's definition can make me undisciplined. For example, in middle school and high school, I didn't care about grades. Getting a top gpa seemed like some silly contest people engaged in in order to stroke their own ego. So since I didn't care about grades, I was undisciplined. I didn't do assignments if they didn't interest me. My take on education was entirely subjective. I studied what interested me, both inside and outside the classroom. My ambition was to learn what I thought mattered, and to have the type of lifestyle I enjoyed (which involved cutting class a lot ).

I was much more disciplined in college and afterwards. I think this combo--10th house moon squared by first house Uranus--has made my number one ambition in life to always live a life that I consider meaningful and fulfilling.

But because my Moon is in Leo and the 10th house, something I find personally meaningful is to be part of something big, to feel like what I do impacts a lot of people. I'm most fulfilled by work that helps others emotionally.

I think it's the 10th house influence that makes me emotionally extroverted. I focus a lot on how other people are feeling. It helps me deal with my own shyness when I act extroverted and put others at ease. I also feel a responsibility to make others feel comfortable and happy. If someone else in the group plays that role, I'll feel more free to relax and not contribute on that front. But if I'm in a group of people and there's not yet a good atmosphere going, I feel responsible to get one going.

This is good stuff, and I think I starting to get my 10th house Moon a lot more.

For all of us it seems to go deeper than the obvious. I can identify with the need to do something useful, to make a valuable contribution. It's not an emotional drive to accumulate status symbols and outer success, it might be but it isn't that necessarily, not on its own.

My Moon is in Libra, my M.C is in Virgo. When I found some helpful information on bowel enemas for a nurse she was pleased. It helped with her research, and in the future it will make a patient's experience slightly less unpleasant. It's not glamourous, it's not the limelight, but it gives me more satisfaction than I would get from waving my baps around on camera. Any day.

Outside of my working life I am involved in charity work. When you raise money for a charity they like their name to be advertised, that's part of what you are doing, getting their name into the public consciousness. I can see how this house is neighbourly with the 11th, community and groups.
