Someone sharp-tongued and argumentative.

This is on my natal chart.
(Due to Mars' progressed slowness after my birth, on the progressed chart this is now exact and won't be out of orb until I am a pensioner.)

According to those inflicted I like depressing music.

"I can't" ~ I like that one on that Radiohead album.

Mark Lanegan is one of my favourites, not the cheeriest of individuals, I'll admit.

My friend Cody has this. He is SUPER argumentative, and it doesn't help that his Mercury is ALSO in Aries (Mars in Capricorn).

When he gets hyper, he starts saying and doing ridiculous things. Yesterday, for example, I drove him to 7-11 and on the way back to his house, we saw a car stopped in the middle of the road with the door open. He said "Probably a drug deal... I want drugs! STOP THE CAR!!! -pause- I don't know why I just said that."

Gem Merc/Pisces Mars. I LOOOOVVVVVE a good argument. (For those who have seen the Sex and the City movie) I love to argue more than Samantha loves to colour. :P

As for the strange music inquiry, I dunno... I'll listen to anything once before judging it... I do listen to a lot of emotional movie soundtracks though. I'm not sure how one would define weird music tastes.

Interesting.
Mercury in Scorpio square Mars in Leo here.
When I get upset or angry I find it very hard to think straight, let alone express myself. I just flush and turn into an inarticulate stuttering mess - but, some say, with a dangerous look in my eyes that needs no explaining. Luckily, there's only one person in the world who can make me act like that - my mum with her Sun and Pluto conjunct my Mars. It makes for a nice dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship. With other people I can cope just fine.

Anyway, with Mercury ruling the nervous system, Mercury square Mars people are supposed to be nervous and highly strung. Also, sarcastic, I seem to remember

Music? Nothing special. I oscillate between old rock and jazz.

found this thread from google.. hi all

I have Mercury in Aries square Mars in Cancer. It's weird cause historically I haven't considered myself an overly argumentative person but I am quick to challenge someone especially if they're just spewing nonsense :P

Also the older I get the more aware I've become of this placement.. maybe I was bad when I was younger and just didn't realize anything..

Any personal planet that is touched by Mars gives aggression.(Ac,Sun,Moon,Mercury,Venus)

An outer planet(Neptune)that touches Mars, tones down the aggression.

An outer planet(Jupiter,Uranus,Pluto) that touches Mars can exaggerate the aggression.

Saturn,MC/IC axis touching Mars can either stabilize the aggression or make it unrelenting.

The aspects where all of this is most obvious are close aspects(3 degrees or less) of a square, opposition or conjunction.

For the in-conjunct or other "minor" aspects,an orb of less than 1 Degree can have a similar effect too.

The person I know with this aspect in their natal chart can be very ruthless when it comes to arguments. Anything he feels that is an "attack", his defences automatically go up and he becomes highly combative. Not really caring about his tone or what he says. It's just a matter of disarming the opposition, getting the upper hand. Quite frightful actually.

My SO has Aries sun, merc sq Cap Mars. He can literally kill your soul with words. He also has Mars sq Uranus. When provoked, he WILL retaliate. Doesn't matter if you're is mom, sister, priest, daughter, friend or wife.

haha, i have this aspect and the depressing music thing is SO far from the truth for me. i listen to top 40 and upbeat party music i can't really put up with anything too dark for very long

i don't like arguments but when one is unavoidable, i'm a force to be reckoned with. especially when i'm defending someone/something i care about, i really make sure i get my point across. however i really try to stay away from arguments and conflict in general, my mercury may square my mars BUT my mars is in the 12th house. and i'm a libra.

Mercury in Aquarius square Mars in scorpio

I love arguments, they fuel me. I often come off as aggressive because I don't sugar coat anything I say. Cross me and I will make you cry with my sharp tongue. I hate people who talk slow, think slow, or beat around the bush, they irritate me like talk FASTER DAMMIT!
