tmiller,The Moon opposite the MC (10th house cusp) is also the same as the Moon conjunct the IC (4th house cusp). It's similar to having the person's Moon in the other's 4th house, but the effects are felt quicker and are stronger because of the Moon sitting on an angle. This is a house naturally ruled by Cancer, the Moon's ruler. This placement will grow stronger in the latter part of life because the 4th house rules the latter part of life, so after 40 years of age.
There will be strong emotional ties to one another, particularly in relation to 4th house matters: family, the home, land, property, etc. The Moon person's emotions, habitual responses, moods, instincts and feelings will influence the IC person's home and family and the IC person's home and family will influence the emotions, habitual responses, moods, instincts and feelings of the Moon person. The Moon person could mother the 4th house person, and the Moon person's mother, female relatives or family could influence the 4th house individual's home and family.
Because the Moon is also opposite the MC, the Moon person's emotions, habitual responses, moods, instincts and feelings could influence the MC person's career, profession, social standing, reputation, ambition and ego. And vice versa.
Whether these influences will be positive or negative experiences will depend upon whether or not the Moon person's Moon is afflicted or not, either by sign or by aspect.
