HMMM.. i just saw a thread in which it warned against being involved with someone if you share this aspect, twice. i have this with my new manfriend and i'm looking for more information and experiences of this aspect. he is the NN and i am the saturn (exact conjunction). we are only 4 months apart, so his saturn also widely conjuncts my NN (11 deg). we both have the conjunction of saturn and NN natally, so perhaps it helps? for us, i help him focus on discipline, which he appreciates and greatly needs in his life. i also feel that we're very necessary in eachothers' lives. whether that's a short term or a long term thing, i don't know. but it seems we really help one another out, in a very real and sober way. but i'm a little worried; maybe this isn't such a great aspect after all, or, over time? i've never shared it with anyone in a dating context before, and i'd like to hear other experiences, the positive and the challenging.. thanks!!

I would think that Saturn conjunct NN would be a helpful thing, since Saturn is the teacher, and the North Node is where you need to go in life. So a great teacher to help you learn what you need to learn, to fulfill your life's purpose. I've heard that it would not be "ideal" to be with someone whose Saturn conjuncts your South Node.

Or they hold you back from fulfilling your life's purpose. That's what happened to me.

I checked several Synastries of mine, not only love affairs, but also friends, family, job-relations etc. What I found out: Whenever there was a close conjunct to my NN ... it turned out to have a very strong effect on me, indeed. AND: In each case I can take the influence of that planet conjuncting my NN quite literally! - So, from this point ... I'd also be wary with someone's Saturn conjuncting my NN....

My NN is in Pisces in my 3rd house. Some examples:

One of my former job-bosses who acted like a strong mentor and supporter to me in the early stages of my career: His MC cj. my NN.

A man I had a very intense (probably the most intense), but also most "mysterious" and hurting relationship with - all went very quickly and in huge leaps, the beginning as well as the end of this love: His VERTEX cj. my NN

A man who was very fascinated by me - but I wasn't able to feel the same kind of attraction to him and had to learn to use "kid gloves" and be more sensitive with him: His ASC cj. my NN.

Another ex-boss, a former "job-trainer" for me - then an ex-colleague (we worked in the same team then) - now: a friend: His MC cj. my NN.

Two of my closest platonic friends of long standing (one male, one female): Both have their PART OF FORTUNE cj. my NN.

A man who was after me - and couldn't stand to be rejected - who reacted quite aggressive then - and still seems to hold grudges against me: His CHIRON cj. my NN.

... and so on and so forth.

thanks for the replies! gemgemgem and lady neptune, i can see both of those being strong possibilities. it seems kinda like an either-or with saturn. hmmm..

alvarella777, that's fascinating. you know, i definitely see that. i guess it's cuz saturn is where we are afraid or stuck, or are learning very important lessons, so the conjunction brings it to the fore and makes that energy HUGE in our awareness. so i guess that is why saturn might clamp down and restrict those energies, out of fear, OR provide a discipline and learn to work with the energies. very interesting!

I have my Saturn conjunct the main squeeze’s North Node. I have tried to find out info about this and come up with negative and positive descriptions.

On another astrology site it states that it appears to be a seperative aspect and the relationship does not ever seem to get off the ground for whatever reason.
Well, I can kind of agree with that in a sense as our relationship is not where it should be after 7 years but I would tend to lay that blame on our Venus/Uranus interaspects before the Saturn/NN conjunction.

I’m not experienced enough in astrology to be able to state how this aspect affects us but he has accused me of being a bit of a wet blanket at times!!! When that statement comes out of the mouth of a Cap Asc/Cap Sun with his Saturn conjuncting my Mars three words come to mind.

KETTLE……………POT…………….BLACK.

He’s lucky I have a sense of humor!!!

Anyway, I wouldn’t let this aspect scare you away from a new relationship, I’ve got some terrible aspects with my man but we love each other dearly and completely devoted to each other and even if he is sometimes the biggest wanker in the world he’s still the love of my life.

I’ve included a link that has some really interesting stuff on nodal contacts in synastry. http://www.zodiacal.com/articles/geisler/dragon.htm

I have this with a guy its a double whammy actually..Well seeing that I am always the Saturn person, I shook in my boots bc I can sense lessons from him..It can be heavy, but if you have other placements that are good it might not be that bad..Yes it does feel like this will never get off the ground..Due to a few things but his moon conjuncts my Uranus and that is one problem right there..We are 3 months apart too..

Well I know a 'soulmate' couple that have been happily married since 1987 and they have Saturn conjunct NN and in composite!
So it looks nice to me...but who knows. Probably depends on other factors. But they did take a long time to get together! She was with someone already and so was he...couple years later, met again and are happy now.
