Is your Sun placed where you can express yourself most?

Is the house it lives in one that represents what you take the most interest in?

Do you think that the point of your life rests on how fulfilled your are in that area of your life?

like Lara, i express my 1st house the most but I have my Sun in the 2nd house. i have a stellium there (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus) and i still don't feel like i identify much with that house..though i may misunderstand it.

In a way, yes, our sun is who you try to be. But your 1st house (in terms of expression-what we wear let's say)

It's a great question, that I find hard to answer.

My Sun is in the 7th house. Is that where I express myself most?

Not if it means I express myself best as someone's partner. In a way I find that abhorrent. Astrologically, the big pointers to this would be the Sun's cohorts in a Grand Trine, Mars in Aqua and Uranus. I don't feel like I need to be someone's wife to be fulfilled in life.

But if it means close interaction with other people I can go with that. Or in the words of the Mike Skinner....

I came to this world with nothing
and I leave with nothing but love
everything else is just borrowed

I believe I express myself most through my 7th house ruler, descendant, and venus, which is picses. I am, though, seeming to be constantly torn between my Taurus sun and Virgo rising and this really strange sign of Pisces which makes me feel things entirely too much. This really sucks, you know, being at the bottom of the barrell, but what do you do. Just deal with it I guess. That is why I always seem to be torn, because I have to keep my watery side in check by going back to my earthy side. I really hate soaking up my surroundings and having to have this out of this world connection with a mate. I wonder if it is even reality. I wish sometimes my thought of a lifelong partner would be just that, a partner, not expecting anything too deep. I just have to have that connection, though.

Hi BlueMoon,

You know the 7th House is also a house of "publicity" and how you present yourself to the world in more of a public sense than the Ascendant.

I think of Charlie Chaplin as an example. He was a 7th House Aries. Although he had a lot more that made him prominent, his 7th House Sun was one of the big bells that expressed that in his chart. There was a lot of emphasis on relationships in his life, his relationship issues became extremely public but remember that he was an icon unto himself, maybe because he was an Aries which means he had to be Number #1 and the number one leader in the film industry, which he was. He was the first international celebrity. Does any of that resonate for you?

It does sound better than the housewife's domain, I must say. Bless you, Mrs V.

Mercury is also in this house, so public communication is an important aspect of my life, my Sun is in Gemini. Mercury is Conjunct Venus on one side, Saturn on the other. The 7th is a bit crowded on my chart.

So yes, that does strike a chord. I can't relate to explanations that I somehow live out my need for expression through my partner. Like how? I have a mind of my own. If he tries to tell me what to say I get infuriated.

Oh, and I kept my maiden name which I have to explain too often. I don't have a big thing about it, but I'm just not into the status of being married. I'm with him because I like him, not because I feel the need to be someone's wife.

Cheryl Cole has a new tattoo, dedicated to footballer hubby Ashley.

The Girls Aloud singer, 24, has been snapped sporting a fresh design on the back of her neck that reads: ‘Mrs Cole’.

She clearly wants to send a message to the boys to say that she’s spoken for.

Why would she want to do that to herself?

Yes...my Leo Sun is in the 8th House, and I'm very passionate about 8th house issues.

Great question. I think yes, I most likely do. I have Sun, Mercury and Venus in 1st house. Sun is conjunct Ascendant. So very much - though I'm not very Aries like which is odd. I think my Mercury in 1st may be evident in my communications here.

You know I am not sure about that one.
I'm a 5th house Virgo with a virtually unaspected sun, but I have a moon in Aries and a Taurus rising, with mars in Taurus also in the first house. My Mars conjuncts my ascendant, so yeah...LOL. I don't feel very Virgo-like at all, and don't 'emote' Virgo vibes... except I DO feel my 5th house is definitely most crucial in my self-expression (but then, it does rule self-expression too, doesn't it. LOL)

I find that house placements for the Sun is most important - it either intensifies the energy off it, adds interesting new elements, or sometimes just like, scatters its energies (My ex was Cappy sun in the 11th house...very un-Cappy vibes...and even flaky sometimes. The Gemini Moon influence didn't help him focus either LOL)

Hard to say, but yes I think so. My Libra Sun's in the third house, conjunct Uranus, trine moon and jupiter. I definitely do feel like these are easy and expressive energies for me. Lucky there. Inwardly I feel at ease and not like this is a positive "front".

Mine's in the 2nd. I think the 2nd is about our personal resources.

From a young age, I worked a lot. It was important to me to save money and be financially independent. It paid off. At an early age I was able to buy a house that I later sold and made a hefty profit off of.

I still have most of that profit, but I also lost a sizable chunk of it. I spent it on an education that I later realized was a waste. I realized the profession it was preparing me for wasn't the profession I really wanted, but instead one that I thought I should want, being studied for at a school that I should want to attend.

I've wondered what I could learn from that mistake. A lesson would make the financial loss less bitter.

What I've come up with is this: My Sun in the 2nd isn't about accumulating possessions. It's about possessing the moment as I'm living it. That it's this moment and who I am in it that is all I really have. Of course it's important to plan for the future, but we don't own the future or any moment other than this moment. So I try my best to design my life in a way that the reward is in the doing. Not the consequences of it, but the experience itself.

MyVirgo - Sure, why not.

Those of us with our Sun in the 2nd or in Taurus (or our ASC in Taurus ) have a good thing going. The asto community has set the bar pretty low for us. We're evolved as long as we don't spend ALL of our free time engaging in threesomes with a hottie and hot fried chicken, atop a cash-filled mattress.

Hi,

I express myself through my North Node (in 9th) and not through my Sun (in 7th).
