How do you determine which house a planet is in when it could be in either house, look at my mars. I've always related to Mars in the 4th house, but it really isn't in the 4th house, anyone have any ideas?

According to the chart you've posted your Mars is clearly in 3rd house.IP: Logged |

If you use other house systems, it can vary.IP: Logged |

If it's conjunct an angle, I interpret it as part of that house.IP: Logged |

It's conjunct the angle so it would feel 4th House-y. I think it falls in the 4th house when you use Equal House, right?IP: Logged |

PA, when the planet is located near the end of the house we should also interpret it as being in the next house. IP: Logged |

I have this exact problem with my chiron in 12th... it is at 1 deg and my ASC is at 3 deg, so l just read 12th and 1st houses interpretations!IP: Logged |

deuxYeah, I've seen that interpretation many times - even astro.com uses it. But I'm a big believer that if it's contained within one house or sign, that's where it is. IP: Logged |

LaraMy Chiron is at 6 degrees and my Ascendant 7 degrees. I consider Chiron in the 12th - black and white - and have never looked at it differently. Even by 1 degree - it still is where it is. But, that said, different people relate to different things. IP: Logged |

PA, yeah. Like my Jupiter is in 7th near 8th cusp. I say it stays in 7th. But for people who have "questionable" birth times maybe they should observe things and then decide later which house description feels more accurate. IP: Logged |

Equal house system has it on the 4th house. Whole sign house system has it in the 5th house. No, its not in the third house Whole sign or equal house systems has Mars ruling your 5th. IP: Logged |

That's what I thought because, I act very third house moon, kind of spacey, etc... And I don't communicate the way that mars is described in the third house. Plus my two other sisters have they're mars in the 4th house, which I think is very interesting... It must have to relate to our Dad?IP: Logged |

PA, I have a 12th house Chiron conj ASC, too.I read it like it is in the 12th house, but I also look up "Chiron conjunct Ascendant" separately. It has a slightly different interpretation from Chiron in the first. IP: Logged |

My progressed mars is the third house however, so I suppose it could be considered in the third house?IP: Logged |

amowlsIt's an interesting aspect Chiron in 12th conjunct Ascedant. I think that you have to have it to understand it. Brings a lot of understated compassion. IP: Logged |

I have Pluto conjunct ASC in 12th house, with a 1 deg 30' orb. As the ASC changes degrees fast I see it as a separating aspect. I resonate with Pluto in the first house, but the lessons I have to learn on how to use that part of my psyche/personality are located in the 12th house. That is just my perception on the discussion.------------------ Sun in Pisces, Moon in Aquarius, Ascendant in Libra IP: Logged |
