please help me prepare for a risky weekend I’ll got through in a couple of weeks. I need your wisdom!

I got an invitation for a visit to another town and for attending a large festivity there, it will happen in late November. This is a TRICKY situation for me – very risky! The weirdest things could happen there – like: I might meet someone there whom I really would NOT want to meet anymore. Even more social “chaos” seems programmed, all is possible: surprise, chaos, hurt, flirtation and grieve … It might come out as some personal triumph for me – or as a personal defeat.

My reasonable and cautious parts tell me not to go.
But my adventurous and curious parts scream: Go, girl, go!
I tend to follow the latter and go there … but haven’t decided yet.

I am old enough to know about the possible pitfalls of such an endeavour, though. It CAN backfire ... and then ... put a brake on MY life again ... Hm.
