I'm almost half way done with earning my Bachelor's degree; but I don't know what my major is :0 I've narrowed it down to Spanish, English, Linguistics, Psychology or Anthropology. feel like I want a job that nurtures others besides myself. Check out my chart for any clues as to what I should do...

I can't tell from your chart, but I just wanted to say that you've chosen very Sagittarian subjects. I'm a Sag rising too and I majored in English and Linguistics, then went on to do Teaching and postgrad Film & Media Studies. I'm curious how you would feel about teaching? You seem as though you would be a great communicator, with Sun conjunct Mercury and Jupiter in Gemini. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I was going to say something about public speaking...you'd definitely know how to get others' attention. Something with coaching others somehow, motivating them, guiding or mentoring with just enough firmness and nurturing. I don't know. Feels like something along those lines might be right....what do you think?IP: Logged |

Hey GemLover, I've thought about teaching, but I want to leave grad school making some bank, and teaching is very- so so, when it comes to making bank. I know someone else who also has Sag ascendant, Aries Sun, and Pisces moon - she is a great teacher, but she is having the hardest time finding a teaching job, she even has a MA in education. I really can't stand how the American government doesn't value education! Maybe if it did, teachers would make more bank IP: Logged |

To be honest that's one reason why I didn't pursue school teaching as a career after I graduated - but what about teaching in higher education? ie academic lecturer/PhD level? The money doing that is pretty good, plus you get to do what you love and continue doing your own academic research. And you get the opportunity to move up the ladder towards Professorship etc etc. IP: Logged |
