Okay which hold more water? Progressed or natal? Which is more significant. And what's the point of a natal chart if you always have a progressed chart, and vice versa. Any opinions would be just dandy!IP: Logged |

Natal is the most important, followed by natal and progressed, and then progressed solely. Then there's solar return and lunar returns, which are last. IP: Logged |

There are several ways of progressing the natal chart: secondary progressions (a day for a year), tertiary progressions (a day for a lunar month), minor progressions (a lunar month for a year) and solar arcs (based on the secondary Sun). Secondary progressions and solar arcs are the most commonly used methods. Secondary progressions represent internal changes as you age, evolve and grow into old age. They can be looked at for the timing and triggering of events. Transits provide the action for an event. Transits to progressions are also important and should be considered. They help provide more detail to a situation. Natal!Progressions or solar arcs take ages to move round, especially progressions. Pretty much useless, unless over a long period. IP: Logged |

The reason I ask, is because, I'm not really feeling like a Gemini Sun, possibly the Scorpio Moon,(natal, sun is taurus, moon in leo) So I was wondering about the progressions and how significant they really are. IP: Logged |

Im a Libra Sun and I dont feel like it. Many people dont feel like their Sun. Look at the ASC. That will work. If not, its something to do with you.IP: Logged |

Those are my progressed signs. I really truly feel like my natal sun, moon, and rising, all day long! Thats why I wanted to know about the significance of progressed signs, which mine is gem. Is your natal sun libra that you dont feel like or is that your progressed.IP: Logged |

solar arcs move a lot faster than progressions I disagree with solar arcs and progressions being useless sure progressions from outerplanets aren't all that important..but solar arc outer planet measurements can be important and they move faster than secondary progressions.
Solar Arc Directions: In calculating a Solar Arc Chart - all the planets on a chart are progressed (moved forward) at the same speed (normally using the formula of one day equals one year) as the Sun. So the aspects between the planets will always be the same as the aspects between planets in your birth chart. After being calculated - these Solar Arc positions are then compared to the birth chart positions and are very powerful when used as a technique for the forecasting of external life events (and there's a lot more to it than this….believe you, me…). Secondary Progressions: In calculating a Secondary Progressed Chart - all the planets on a chart progress (move forward) at their normal speed (normally using the formula of one day equals one year). (For those interested... the progressed Midheaven is then calculated according to the pet theory of the particular astrologer, and then the other chart angles are derived from the Midheaven. The most used method is the "True Solar Arc in Longitude" - where Midheaven's longitude is progressed by the same longitude arc as the Sun.) Anyway... in this method of progressing the chart, the aspects (and relationships) between all of the different planets are slowly, but continually changing. http://www.thezodiac.com/arcs.htm Secondary progressions are compared to the natal chart, but the secondary progressed chart alone can be considered.
Solar Arc directions are compared to the natal chart. Transits to secondary progressed chart are important too. IP: Logged |

Hi,As I have seen alone Progressed Chart means nothing. Much better is Natal Chart inside and Progressions outside (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars). For Progressions of other planets we should live at least 200 years.
