I know twins who have Pluto 4th. They are both Geologists. The 4th is land, family, and history. Pluto is depth, exploration, intensity. The 6th is the house of technical detail, health, and work. It might be time for her to put away the astrology books if she is only honing in on the negative and fatalistic interpretations. I find it hard to believe she hadn't found one positive thing in all the material available. It might be the problem lies in her worrying about what might happen. A fruitless exercise. Plenty of people have these placements without having suffered unimaginable hardship and tragedy. Maybe sometimes they have done, but that could be the same for Pluto in any house. I'll find some more stuff and put it up. IP: Logged |

http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/fourthhouse.htm Bob Marks describes a Pluto 4th house person as needing home as a place of regeneration. ~ sounds like what my husband would call to "decompress" (a direct translation from french, his mother tongue). Pluto in 6th house is likely to be someone who needs work that they can get really involved with, that they can obsess about. I like Bob. He's so sensible. IP: Logged |

Brilliant bm. I have Pluto in 6th and that's spot on. We're very much workaholics. Work needs to be something that I love fully and can immerse myself in completely. I work to the point of exhaustion. IP: Logged |

I have Pluto in 4th conjunct IC by 1 degree, so it's angular. Also Moon square Pluto as the strongest aspect in my chart. Here are some things ive learned: Pluto at the bottom of the chart is what you ARE as a person, separate from ego, its what you come into this world knowing - so for someone to instictively know the power of their generations pluto is a very powerful tool-you know more about how power is wielded because you grew up with that, you know about the power of sexuality and the power of compassion for those who are in loss, you know about the existence of worlds apart from the one everyone else knows, this can be actual psychic phenomena since pluto here is angular [mediumistic tendencies when transpersonals are placed at critical pts or aspect personal planets]. In the youth it can feel as if the rug is being pulled out from under you and there will be loss but as you age you learn that you are so very rich for having had an insight into things that other people in their youth have not been personally exposed to. for me i watched my mother die of cancer in our home [a very pluto moon experience] , she never wanted to be at the hospital and as such i would have to stay home from school 4 days a week to take care of her while my dad worked, cancer is a very plutonian disease and to watch that in your home spreading rapidly [5 mos and then she passed away].....it was a very intense experience that you cant look away from, thats what moon/4th and pluto/8th gives you. Its actually a very enriching placement. You get added depth to the personality, and also you need a lot privacy at home to be comfortable. This gives you inherent knowledge of resources, knowing whats available and where and how it can help you or anyone you know. These people cant put up with superficiality in their household, can't put up with emotions being hid away, everyone needs to come clean and everything needs to come out in the open and be dealt with honestly, angrily, compassionately whatever as long as its honest. I think most of them also like to deep clean their homes a lot, throw out anything thats no longer useful, on a very frequent basis, i know i do. unless pluto is in cancer, that sign likes to hold on. To summarize it gives you a bedrock of strength [psychological/emotional] that no one can take away. Its yours, you earned it - whether it was painful or not is inconsequential. IP: Logged |

I've got Pluto in the 6th (along with Uranus, Mercury, Venus), and I don't think I'm a workaholic per se. I do think about work a lot. I get obsessed with it, but that doesn't mean I work a lot LOL. I do know that the work I do though needs to be intensely personal and I've always been drawn to healing work where I can 'dig' and explore and help transform. ------------------ "The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do. I have Pluto in my 4th house as a singleton.I don't think this placement is as negative as it seems. I think that it can give a persons subconscious mind a lot of power and that can be good or bad depending. I like this description... Pluto in the Fourth House: Don’t mess with Daddy. He may have been strong to the point of being overwhelming. Pluto shows where we can regenerate when we are hurt or drained. Go home to recharge. At the same time, home may be a place of power struggles. If you ever have a disagreement with someone, ask them to come over to your place to discuss it. They will give way on point after point. You can be strong at home. The older you get, the more likely it will be that the power of your personality increases (except for the very end, of course). ------------------ "The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart” `Helen Keller quotes IP: Logged | |
