Topic: Scorpio & Taurus..what is the big difference?

Scorp and Taurus oppose each other..but I don't exactly understand why. To me, they are both stubborn, passionate, sensual, jealous, committed, and perservering. Where is their major "opposition"? ------------------

Taurus is more laid back I think. Scorpio is mystical and more imaginative. Taurus is an earth sign so might find some thoughts or habits of Scorpio rather weird. Taurus is more capable of really working and enjoying life whereas Scorpio would enjoy aspects of life not everyone would be able to/want to see.IP: Logged |

The difference is Earth and Water. Taurus won't give up until they achieve what they set out to do. They have a practical goal. Scorpio won't give up until it has achieved what it has decided it wants to do. They have an emotional goal. The difference is stubborn and determined, but they will both perservere to the bloody end. IP: Logged |

@Lara: It's so true!!! My two friends Scorpio & Taurus pretty ...hate each other very much while the others think (probably on the surface) they are so similar lolzzFrom my observations it is indeed the Scorp lady who is much more revengeful than the Taurean who is slow to anger/throw tantrum or remember it. Its hard to generalize about emotional goal or who is more emotional per se. I think we need to look at the whole chart. Like in my friends case, the Scorp is much more *rational* than the moody Taurean who happens to have a Pisces moon lolz IP: Logged |

It was a description of the signs as archetypes and their difference in a polarity, which is that one is Earth and one is Water. How that difference fits into individual charts as a working part of a whole is another subject. If we work backwards and try to fit the polarity description to suit the complexities of two particular individuals, I don't think that is necessarily going to bring us to a satisfactory understanding of the archetypes.

Tau - is into its own possessions and shows what it possesses. Uses their own resources and abilities for their own benefit.Sco - is into other people's possessions and wants to you show what you have to offer. Uses other's resources and other's abilities to their benefit. IP: Logged |

Well, I'll just give my opinion from personal expirience, and the scorpio and taurus people i know.
I find scoprios to be more "dark", I guess, you know, because of that scary/"I can see right through you" looks they give. IT's wierd cause most of the scorpios ( I'm only talking about Scorpio Suns and Moons) are rather rebellious bitches that aren't scared to fight you and give you a nice slap in the face if you talk shiot about themFor the taruses I know (only Suns) Are more calmer, and if you talk crap, they just shut you out of their lives. I've noticed they care about their repuations alot (almost like their fellow earth sign, Capricorn) But both these signs I find have beautiful faces though IP: Logged |

I work next to a Scorpio male and Taurus female...the signs have similarities, definitely.The Taurus female is in her early-mid thirties, married with a just-turned-one daughter and very much into the me-me-me aspect of the power trip thing (it's all about me, me first, cater to me, listen to me, honey, I have a honey-do list for ya to do before 10am)...I'm older than she is by 15 or so years and I just roll my eyes, cuz I'm thinking 'girl, you have a lot yet to learn in life'...she's very sweet otherwise, but not really spiritual, at least not yet. The guy, I just love to death, but you don't want to get on his bad side. I was there briefly, but we both turned it around and he calls me his "at work wife", compliments me profusely and makes me feel loved and I worship the ground he walks on (secretly)...I looked up our charts and our synastry is amazing, we both have Mercury exactly conjunct in Scorpio (both at 23degrees), his moon and venus are in Sag (my sun sign), so there is a lot going on between us ('cept that he's gay), but who cares, it's work. I really like Scorpio males, always have. Just don't be on their bad side. You might not sleep at night. IP: Logged |

Moon and Mars play a major role here but in general sense.- Taurus is much more tolerant than Scorpio.
- Both are possesive. But, Taurus wants to own you as a 'material'. And, Scorpio wants to own you as an 'emotion'.
- When in fight, Scorpio will damage you emotionally. Taurus will damage you materially.
- Taurus is much more gullible than Scorpio.
- Taurus loves to work hard himself. Scorpio loves to work hard by using others.
- Taurus loves to rather seek a peaceful life if there is choice. Scorpio will be disturbed if there is no drama in life.
- Sex with both of them should be fun. Taurus is happy with same types of positions for a long time. Scorpio will switch positions and continue to search the deepest way to touch your emotions. IP: Logged |
