Im having cat troubles. We had three cats for a long time (others have died after a long life) and only recently a new addition to the family.
1 male cat and 2 female, all get along well.
The new one is male and doesnt get along with (my) female cat.

Eveytime it is near one of the females, it seems to attack them. It is a bit nutty too as it can just attack me for no reason at all.

Moon ruling 6th opposite Pluto and Mercury.

Transit coming up is full Moon opposite Uranus. Im thinking this is a good time to send it somewhere else.

Anyone got any pet stories/6th house stuff?

OK, astrology aside for a second...I'm just curious how young the new male cat is, and if he's been 'fixed'. And I'm curious where you got him/adopted him from. I was raised in a family with 15 cats...I love 'em...so cat stuff intrigues me in general D

Kick It, I'm really saddened that you would conisider 'sending it somewhere else' because 'it's a bit nutty'.

Pet ownershipt is a huge responsibility. You don't just ditch them because things aren't all smooth sailing.

Do you know anything about this cat's history? Have you considered that he might have gone through a really tough time before he came to you? At least show him some kindness and give him a chance to adjust to his new home!

As much of a cat lover as I am, and I think love and care and time is part of a good solution, if a cat acts like a complete nightmare then I too would think of sending it elsewhere...besides, it may be happier elsewhere, where it's got more freedom and less competition or something. I'm surprised, because it's usually cats of the same gender that don't get along so well. Male and female cats are usually alright. That's why I'm wondering if it's a young cat, still unfixed, and in his obnoxious phase. They go crazy like little boys when they first get their hormones. But it could also be the environment he came from...if he was a stray or something.
Let's hope it's just an adjustment period. That's why I'm curious what Kick It's kitty situation is.

Yes, it is a huge responsibility.
All our cats are adopted as such, taken from the street and given a home, with many times being overfed.
My brother and sister are the ones who brought this upon my parents and they just allowed it.

The cat was taken as stray by my brother when he was living elsewhere.
Fixed? Dunno if its balls have been chopped, if thats what you mean.

A period of at least one year is enough time for adjustment so far.
The cat is very bright and bubbly, young and seemingly reckless, very much like an Aries.

If you want to look at the astro side of things...not everyone gets along with each other. the other male cats were fine with the females after a few days. Maybe it is a clash of natals with that cat and the others.

If you want to look at the human side......
You pair a couple together and one beats the other up all the time.....do you say "Oh well, maybe have some time for adjustment?"

No?

If I can get this cat to another family where it wont have to beat up other cats and is fine by itself, that will be better for all concerned.

The point I was trying to make is that this cat is dependent on you, so just 'getting rid of it' would hardly be a responsible or kind choice.

However, if you will take the time to find him a loving home, that's clearly different.

Yes, you made your point.

I dont really see why you are concerned with me trying to find it a new home.
Do you think I cannot do that right?

It's male and territorial.

There is a cranky old cat like that on our terrace. All the females get along fine, but he has to do things like chase them up trees, and urinate on my kids' bikes just to make the point that he owns us all.

But just a female cat in my house.

Maybe 2 more on the way, I'd rather not, but sometimes people don't admit they can't look after a pet anymore and are too proud to take it to a pet shelter (with a donation if they can afford it) and get them re-housed. Much more humane than leaving the situation so there is an unhappy animal and an unhappy friend who feels obliged to take responsibility - and take them into a less than ideal situation for their needs. A cat shelter would do better than me, especially in their condition.

Maybe more of this on the animal forum later, I could have a problem on my hands.

6th house is Aries-ruled on my chart, I used Placidus, so that makes it the same as the 5th. Action.

I threw away the childcare books and just went on instincts. Same for the pets.

I have an interest in animal welfare.

I also have no reason not to believe that you will do your best to find him a good home. I wish you well in your search if you feel that's the only option in this case.

I'll trade you your nutty male cat for my evil female. LOL She is seriously evil.

I've had male cats before they can be really rough. He may just not fit in your family. If you've been trying to make it work and it's not then maybe finding him another home is the solution. I'm not a fan of people just giving their pets away. It ****** me off. But sometimes you can do all you can and there's just not fixing it I guess.

My cat is an aries she has never been one to get along with other animals. it's all about her. She's got a bad attitude. LOL Growls, smacks, pounces. Luckily I've never gotten any other pets. I'd be cruel to subject them to her!

Thats an alright swap because he is more evil than nutty. Probably both. I call him evil anyway and he thinks Im playing!

My chart looks good for cats and also finding him a home. 9th house ruler Venus trine 6th ruler Moon. Neptune trine them too, so all looks good.

Kick It, I sympathize with you. It's a huge responsibility to find a cat a home when it's not working out. I'm sure things will work out fine - I think it's great that you're concerned with getting him a good home. A lot of people would just toss an animal to the curb without a second thought.

It's a cat. Cats are weird. Don't get rid of it just because it's acting up. My cat at my parents' house is the meanest, nastiest cat ever, but we never thought of giving it up (in fact it has had cancer & diabetes and we never thought of putting it down).

I don't know, people need to be less selfish about pets. They have to realize that adopting a pet is a responsibility, and sometimes not an easy one.

But that's cool that you're trying to find it a good home instead of just turning it over to the pound.

Wait, the 6th house rules pets?

That would explain a LOT. I have saturn in my 6th house. I've always had pet problems. (Namely my dad; he would always get rid of them.) I've been asking for a dog for years, and we finally got not 1, but 2 puppies last year. They're so cute. ^^ Definitely worth all the previous disappointments.
