White or Black? Which "colour" would you choose? This is just a question that just popped into my head. This is not a trick question, nor is it astrological but maybe there are astrological links to your choice. What is your reason for choosing the "colour" that you choose? IP: Logged |

Black - because black is mysterious, deep and and solid. White is bland, boring and sterile. My astro signs? Gemini Sun, Pisces Moon, Cancer Rising. IP: Logged |

I suspect most people will jump and choose Black, because it's the first choice they read on this thread, and it begins with a hard consonant which makes it easier to pronounce. Now, that I've said that, we shall see!!!! I'm going to say White, after thinking about it for 5 seconds, because it's a good choice of Light colour to be surrounded by

i instinctively feel pulled to black; it's cool and dark and inticing. i figure it's cuz of the yin yang thing and being associated with femininity.. but i have a big thing for white, a reverence, and i use it very particularily in paintings. it is special too. but i choose black and i think i hardly ever wear white.sag rising, aqua sun, taurus moon IP: Logged |

I choose white myself. I think black is more serious, older, sophisticated and mysterious but it is limited and constricted and is hidden. White is the colour of expansion and provides space and freedom, optimism and purity. White can not hide a stain and white is innocent and seems warmer to me. To me, there is nothing more beautiful than a colourful room with beautiful white walls. Aqu Sun, Libra Moon, Aries ASC Given that I said that, I would still wear black given that I want to look thin (especially shoes!) IP: Logged |

Slightly off topic, here's an article that pepped up my ego a bit I love wearing red and I wear it well and if it was Black, White or Red, it is Red hands down for me! http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story/0,26278,24569517-5007192,00.html quote: Red hot ... Megan Gale knows what colour men like. Picture: Adam ArmstrongRed makes women more attractive Confirms men "act like animals" More: Fashion and beauty news Have your say! Add your comments or read what others are saying A STUDY published today shows the colour red makes men see women as hotter or, more scientifically put, more attractive. Researchers from the University of Rochester in New York conducted five psychological experiments to demonstrate the colour makes men feel more amorous toward women. In the experiments, groups of young men looked briefly at a picture of a moderately attractive woman printed on a red background, and the same woman then on a white, grey or green background. They also looked at a woman in red clothing, and the same one in blue clothing. The men found the lady with a red background more attractive, both physically and sexually. Comparing the woman in a red shirt to the same woman dressed in blue, men said they were more likely to ask the lady in red on a date and to lavish more money on her. As part of one of the experiments, as well, the researchers sought to see whether a group of women were similarly more attracted to the woman shown against a red backdrop than a background of a different colour. They were not. What the researchers call the red-sex link could have roots in humans' biological heritage. For instance, among primates, females display more red on parts of their body when they are nearing ovulation, probably to attract the male of the species. "Research has shown that male primates are indeed particularly attracted to female conspecifics exhibiting red,'' the study says. To the authors of the study, University of Rochester psychology professor Andrew Elliot and postgraduate researcher Daniela Niesta, the experiments' findings confirm what "women have long suspected and claimed: that men act like animals in the sexual realm". And, they added, the fact men are more turned on by women in red also confirms that, although men like to think that they respond to women "in a thoughtful and sophisticated manner, it appears that at least to some degree their preferences and predilections are, in a word, primitive''.

White, because it's fresher than black. No one casually dresses in all white (except for me sometimes). White can be pure and clean, but it can also be alien. Plus white has so much hidden versatility (it technically encompasses all of the colors after all).I'm an Aqua Sun, Libra Moon and Gemini Rising. And it's interesting that I picked white, like you, 23 IP: Logged |

Also, I take "scientific news" with a grain of salt. One thing I learned in writing for mass media is that most of the time journalists (at least the kind that would write a story about how "RED MAKES MEN GO GAGA") don't know what the hell they're talking about and often misinterpret scientific studies and report the opposite of what the conclusions of the study was or they go off on a small tangent to draw in more readership, but that's not what the actual study was about.Like "Red Makes Men Act Like Animals," oh REALLY. So how come whenever I wear my red AA shirt (I have it several colors), men don't respond to me any differently than if I wore my navy blue AA shirt? Shouldn't they be all over me? WHAT GIVES?? Yeah it is a bit trumped up amowls. I think colour depends on who wears it. I can wear it and wear it well, a pale blonde couldn't and it'd overpower them. At minimum, I think red energises and is passionate. That is why I like it. As for gaganess, that is debatable but red is associated with engorged bits if you know what I mean. IP: Logged |

Black.Too much white is glaring on the eyes. It's a rare day I'm not wearing black. I prefer dark colours. I even like dark paint, but there are other people in the house and I don't think they want emerald green walls. Scorpio Rising, innnit? p.s My mother ~ Aries Moon ~ has been known to go out dressed from head to foot in red. EVERYONE will run and hide, she is scary at the best of times, those days you know a low profile is the way to go.

I heard that 'news story' on the radio this morning, about men spending more money on women who are wearing a little red dress. You know, all of these psychological studies about what interests men/turns men on are always reported as though men are simpletons... I'd like to think that they aren't. BUT to the actual question. First I chose black - it's mysterious and sophisticated I suppose, and that can draw me in. For clothing, I do wear black a lot but in fact I look better in white. I have a white dress and a black dress in the same style, and when I tried the black one on again recently it didn't suit me - but the white one brightens my skin and generally gives me a lift. So based on that, I'd choose white. But if my MOOD is of wanting to be more anonymous, and/or Scorpio moon-ish, etc, then I would choose black. IP: Logged |

I wear black most of the time. Black represents strength, autority, elegance, mystery, power, formality and presitigious (black tie, black mercedes). But if I had to chose a color to see in-it would be white. The color of goodness, virginity, innocence, purity, cleanliness, faith, and sanity. It usually has a positive connotation. And I love being positive. Scorpio Sun, Libra Rising, Taurus Moon. IP: Logged |
