I was born in bombay. I am trying to look at my progressed chart. Astro.com gives me a certain date and time in UT. But how do I progress the chart to that time. Should I use the birth place, then the time is not correct? Should I use the current place that I stay? Am confused about it. Pl. help.IP: Logged |

If you are using Astro.com...Go to Extended Chart Selection Select Natal and Progressed Chart on the drop down menu where it says "please select the type of chart you want". For "Horoscope For" select the natal chart informtion you are looking at, or "Add a New Person" if relevant. All done for you. Or if you are going it by hand, count a day forward for each year of your life. But not for the Moon, that's more complicated. IP: Logged |

Thanks Bm. The thing is if I want to compare 2 progressed charts I need to make indpendent ones. So the program asks me place of birth and time of birth. If I use the time give by astro and the place when I look at "natal and progressed chart" from the dropdown menu, the time on the final chart changes. The time is give in UT, whereas I will use the time at my place of birth. Eg: I was born in Bombay, so the progressed gives some time it says as UT. I now am unable to decide whether it is calculated for bombay or if it is GMT. What place do I put when I prepare a progressed chart?IP: Logged |

The program uses my natal and progresses my AC to Cap. I tried it using my birthplace to make a manual one on the program, the AC now is Aries. I used the time given by the program when it used my natal. I gave Bombay as my birhtplace. I am way off somewhere. Pl. help. Does the post sound as confused as me?
