I don't think I fall out of love...I think I just get to a point of scorn, where I stop wanting to give anymore of myself because it feels like it's on too deep of a level and when it's not appreciated, I feel scorned and bitter. Scorpio 7th house cusp thrives on a degree of intensity too, so letting go isn't easy, ever, even when I know it's best and I go ahead and do so.

The best part of all this is that I manage, somehow, surprisingly, to stay friends with who I was in love with. After the initial break-up they usually come back and while the door to relationship closes because I can't let them back in again, I still sometimes long for them on some level, though I keep it hidden.

I'll never get over my first love, a Taurus.

I've loved other girls very deeply since her, but she irreversibly moved me.

How many times have I fallen hard?

Since her, I've fallen hard 3 times.

One Capricorn. We were together for two years, a beautiful loving relationship, we broke up mutually, but it took me almost as long as we had dated to get over her.

One Pisces. We never dated. I wanted her badly but she didn't want me. I ached in silence for a couple years. Then miraculously, I woke up one day a simply didn't care anymore.

I've been involved with four Sagittarius women, all with Scorpio Venus. They could all commit long term (although at least one will still cheat on impulse), but seeing my relationships with them, and then how they've been in other relationships, none of them seem remotely capable of being madly in love.

The Taurus love was 10 years ago, I've stopped hurting for her long ago, but she left a big scar on my heart. It's a deep cut that impacts every relationship since her.

My last girlfriend, the Sagittarius mentioned in my first post, walked away from me in April. She is essentially a "career girl", and after I expressed how I no longer wanted to deal with her being gone so often on business, she broke up with me. We were falling apart for a long time, so I braced myself for the worst before I gave her the "career or me" talk.

Learning to let go is the most difficult. What it takes to realize this is that there are other potential love interests and other heartbroken people out there. When I fall for someone, I tend to centralize everything in my life on that one person. And it is only them that exists in my world.

And when heartbreak follows, yes, it hurts. It hurts for everyone, but it hurts more deeply for us because we don't want to accept that we're vulnerable -human- just as much as everyone else is. But then we learn to relate to others just a little bit better because we grow from every hardship we face.

I find that everytime I think of a time when I was hurting, I feel a particular sting that lingers, making me wish that I could turn my thoughts off somehow. I don't know if any of you could relate, but it's remarkably similar to the sting one feels when an angry Scorpion lashes out at you.

I think if Venus in Scorpio can manage to emerge from love without bitterness in the end (which is not the same as unscathed), then it's really going through the process of what it's all about.

I remember reading once that the experience of love for this sign is likened to 'Falling in love, dying, and then being reborn again', and I have to agree on some level...

Hey I don't have Venus in Scorpio or a 8th house venus, but I have my moon/mercury square pluto, my sun/asc/mars trine pluto, my venus opposite pluto, my pluto in the 5th house, and jupiter in the 8th so I do very very much so understand pluto energy.

Your Question Was:
How many times have you fallen hard for someone and how long has it taken you to get over that person?

Well to be honest I've had a good bit of lovers and relationships but to be honest I've only really cared about one person I was involved with ever.

I don't fall for ppl really usually ever, but when I do its very instanteous and intense. It's like a magnet is attracting me to someone. So its very safe to assume I do move on quicky in a physical sense but not in an emotional sense at all.

An example of this is a double sag I was pseudo involved with that I met two years ago. He wouldn't admit that he fell for me(I'm biracial...african american and hispanic) and he's white and we go to a major college in the south (despite the fact that he's from very liberal Maryland...but his family is conservative). Anyway he wouldn't admit he truly cared but couldn't take me around his very conservative family. Anyway it was an intese relationship, with lots of explosive emotions and reactions from both sides (I also have to say he has his venus and mercury in scorpio conjunct pluto). We've been done for a year now, and he's dating someone else. But I fell madly in love with him, and I still think of him. Although when I do think about the good I then think of the bad and get ****** all over again. He did treat me badly so of couse I'll admit when I think about him I still get upset lol. And forget about talking to him even to this day, I'll admit it will be hard to forgive him.

I'm not sure if I'm over him, I saw him walking around campus and my heart beat so loudly. It was horrible just when I know I'm over him I see him and then I just became the same girl I was a year ago. So it's very very safe to say I don't get over ppl. That I truly care about.

Oh and fyi to Marila1313 the venus squre pluto does count as the same as venus in scorpio or in the 8th house. I've found that regardless of the actual placement (ie venus in taurus etc) if you have a placement (especially negative like square, oppostion, or conjunction) to pluto its stronger than the actual placement of a venus in scorpio or venus in 8th house. That same principle is true of like moon conjunct saturn is stronger than just a capricorn moon.

It might add some of the level of complication and intensity, but there's also the generational influence - what sign is Pluto in when it conjuncts Venus? My ex-husband's Venus is in Capricorn and squares Pluto. He had the same complexity of feeling to a degree, but he was still definitely a Venus Capricorn. My own Mercury is in Libra but it's closely conjunct Pluto...but I don't think that makes me a Mercury Scorpio...it adds a hint of obsessiveness and compulsion to my thinking and researching for sure though ...however, I am still dominated by the Libra qualities of it.

Oh my goodness!
I have fallen in love only once, its actually rare that i fall for someone. Maybe i'm picky? Maybe what i need is just rare. In don't know, but the one time i fell in love i fell in love at first sight. He was turned around playing lacross with his buddies in the middle of the hall during class change. Honestly... :P
I saw the back of his head... and i just stopped dead in my tracks - and in my head in heard "him". I didn't know what it meant, but when he turned around and we made eye contact, i was just like "whoa... i definetly know you. Not from somewhere but i know what's inside you. And i LOVE it."

That day after he added me on facebook without even knowing who i was and within 3 weeks we were dating. And we both fell so hard... and then because of bad circumstances...we fell apart .he dumped me. I've had 3 boyfriends since to try to get over him, it hasn't worked at all. He's dated no one... and we've basically been addicted to each other ever since the first time we made eye contact.
We argue too much, and we've unintentionally hurt each other but we always come back because we actually do love each other. There's been so many times we've come close to dating again and he "loved me but couldn't ...it would be too hard". It's been almost 3 years now. I just know i'll never get over him. It's impossible.

I just always remember what made me love him, i have sense memory, and i remember the way he kisses me and his touch, i know his smiles, his laugh, i know what goes on behind his eyes. I know his moods, his temper, everything. And as mad as he makes me i love it all, i just can't forget. ... It doesn't help that i see him every day lol :P. But it's our secret, no one has any idea we've basically been in an emotional relationship for 2 and a half years.

He is a scorpio by the way, scorpio sun, moon, venus, pluto with a conjunction to pluto from sun, moon, venus and jupiter squares pluto.

so in a nutshell - we fall hard and we don't get over people.

I consider both Planets-in-Signs and Planets-in-Houses to be of equal importance, but I see Houses as largely being "circumstantial" and "topical" in their manifestation (7th = relationships, 3rd = communication, 1st = self, 12th = self-undoing, etc). I feel Planets-in-Signs have more to do with the core of our being; the root of the energies within us.

I become infatuated and obsessed with a person quickly if I find them attractive and interesting..I can get over them just as quickly if I have not had real emotional connection or intimacy with them..

If I have, I am stuck on.
