What does a 5th house Taurus cusp mean? Its conflicting for me because the 5th house ruler is naturally my sun sign - Leo. I've never been too keen on Taurus Sun (no offense), but I don't really know what taurus 5th house cusp means.

Here's my chart just to show you what I mean:

hmmm, i have taurus on my 5th house cusp too. haven't really thought about it before. i guess you would kinda combine the energies of leo and taurus! having fun with kids comes to mind. singing.. throwing dinner parties.. stuff like that.

My 5th house cusp is in Taurus, too. (Cancer-Sun speaking here). I think this is a pretty good placement, actually! Taurus is about Venusian stuff, so it provides you with an artistic sense, some heavy dose of sensuality, some hedonism, taste, style, grace ... and persistence. Quite a good placement for all matters concerned with the expression of your "self", creativity, fun, playing games, entertainment, etc...;-) It brings joy to these matters - and I guess it is way better than, for instance, having a rather stern or "ethereal" placement there, like Capricorn or maybe Pisces. Taurus, in my understanding, says: Enjoy!

Since Taurus is ruled by venus as well, I suppose its important to see where its located, which in my chart its in the 7th house, which seems quite compatible, however I can't say I've been lucky or had a easy time with love... These oppositions from saturn and uranus in sagittarius to my venus, probably gives off enough static energy to complicate the ease of the taurus cusp?

That's true Lara, but I don't really know much about the equal house system, which do you prefer? That's interesting that you mentioned the equal house system, because a while ago I read both taurus and aries for the cusp of the 5th house, and I thought the aries cusp sounded more like me, I'm usually very turned on by aries

I would think Taurus 5th house cusp takes its fun very seriously! Strong dose of sensuality and a love of fine things, good food, wine, art, etc..
