Some places I read that each sign is divided into three parts, f.ex: The first 10 degrees of Aries is Aries-Aries, from 10-20 degrees are called Aries-Leo, and from 20-30 degrees are called Aries- Sagittarius. It's still the same sign, but a little mix of the other signs in the same element. In Taurus: Taurus- Taurus, Taurus-Virgo and Taurus-Capricorn. And so on.Does anyone have experiences with this? For example my Ascendant is 17 degrees into Cap, which makes it Cap-Taurus. Here you can read about the ascendant in different decans of the sign: http://www.elbertwade.com/page98.html The Cap- Taurus decan describes my appearance better than "just" what is said about Cap-ascendants in general!

I definitely take this into consideration! Although it is difficult to tell whether or not you are actually experiencing and incorporating the other signs into whatever planet .. or if you are just noticing the qualities that same-element signs have in common. For instance my Mars is Pisces but in the Scorpio decan and I can really identify with Mars in Scorpio..but is that because they are both water signs and I'm just noticing the watery qualities associated with ALL water signs? It's an interesting thought. Though I find the biggest evidence of this being obvious with the ASC. My Scorpio ASC is in Pisces decan and while I look very Scorpio, there is a softer, more submissive, and very changeable way to the way I look and act around people. ------------------ Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon Mercury:: Sagittarius Venus::Scorpio Mars::Pisces IP: Logged |

That last figure is really interesting.. So after they divide the signs into decans, they also divide them into 12 different signs. So since a sign consists of 30 degrees; 30/12=2,5 ,or 2.30 since it is degrees??

Adriana ~A dwad is 2-1/2 degrees -- 2.5, not 2.3. You could write it 2°30’00”..... IP: Logged |

T83 ~Yes. The first decan of Leo goes from 00º00’00” Leo thru 09º59’59” Leo. The 2nd decan runs from 10º00’00” thru 19º59’59” and the 3rd decan spans 20º00’00” thru 29º59’59” Therefore you express as a very Leonine Leo rising I have 29 Leo Rising, so I have a more Arien flavor..... The 2nd decan of Leo is ruled by the fire sign following Leo = Sagittarius. And the 3rd decan of Leo is ruled by Aries. My Sun is at 26 Libra, so I'm a 3rd decanate Libran = Gemini-flavored ~ Zala IP: Logged |

I laughed about this sentence: You love fine clothes and quality jewelry. Can you guess which ASC and decan it is ? I think, it could fit everyone. On the other hand, the descriptions of decans are very nice, maybe they are a bit too sweet, but I like them anyway. Thank you for showing it here!

First figure out what your chart ruler is. You may have Capricorn Asc. but what sign is your Saturn in? In my detriment planet post, I've realized that my Asc. ruler - Jupiter is not my chart ruler, especially since it is Detriment in Gemini. Since you know that your Capricorn Asc. is in the Taurus decante, you should look at where your Venus is placed, and what sign your Venus is in. ------------------ Sun - Leo Moon - Pisces Ascendant - Sagittarius IP: Logged |

My Saturn is in 0.37 degrees Scorpio... and Venus is 20.40 Sag. Well, that is a really strange mix! LOL! What do you mean, missneptune, when you say that Jupiter can't be your chart ruler because it is detriment? Or did you find that your asc is not in Sag? Guess I should read the "detriment planet post" IP: Logged |
