Hello, I posted this is in the health and healing forum but had no replies so Im hoping for more luck here I wanted to ask the ladies out there who have had tramautic and/or difficult labours what sign the moon was in when it happened? I had a very traumatic experience almost 2 years ago that has (literally) scarred me for life (emergency C section). I was really prepared to have a natural waterbirth but after 36hrs and major complications I had to have an emergency C section. The moon was in Scorpio (ruling genitals), and based on Linda's mention in Star Signs about Hippocrate's rule (avoid surgery on the area of the body that the moon is in at that time), the fact that I couldnt avoid the surgery, and that I had a really horrible prolonged recovery time makes sense to me. Anyone else experienced this? Or likewise, if you had a nice and easy labour what sign was the moon in? I find it all very fascinating. My mom is a maternity nurse and dreads going to work on a full moon because so many babies are born and her ward is chaotic!IP: Logged |

Hi EchoMy births both happened with Fire Moons. The first was born quicker than expected, an hour and a half, with the Moon on the Midheaven in the early degress of Sag. Neptune on the Ascendant, he popped out in that water pool. So did a lot of other things out of another orifice, a hazard you don't get to swim around in the operating theatre ~ so don't think you missed out on anything. The second was born at night, Leo Moon Opposite Neptune. He was born in 10 minutes, nice and easy, but a very big baby and I confess to a curse or two on the way out. I was born with the Moon at 0* Libra. (Baby #2.) My mother birthed me in 20 minutes, another easy one. *WARNING THE FOLLOWING IS GRAPHIC AND POTENTIALLY UPSETTING, DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU ARE IN ANY WAY SQUEAMISH. * My brother, quick, Leo Moon, I think about 3 or 4 hours? But not so great, they did damage bodging her placenta delivery. They pulled her womb out and shoved it back in. The pain I can't imagine. Warning there for anyone reading, not aimed at you individually, Echo. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your reply blue moon. I can see some connections through your experiences as well, it seems like fire signs may help for a speedy birth. I wonder if anyone else experienced the same. Hopefully you had a speedy recovery as well. However- your poor mum - that sounds awful. I cannot imagine the pain she must have went through!!! IP: Logged |

The Taurus Moon T-Square baby was born at a very stressful time for us all, it was touch and go. So I suppose it srikes me because that seems as though emotional stress is reflected in the chart.I'm not sure the other ones are that significant, but isn't it interesting that the C-Section at the end of Leo Moon was the least complicated? The moon was nearing the end of Sag when I went into labor. Fourteen hours later I begged for some drugs and the anesthetist got cranky with me because I moved while he was doing the epidural thing - it’s very difficult to lay completely still when a contraction is kicking in. Another 10 hours later when the the moon was forming a conjunction to my late Cap MC they pulled bubs out with forceps and then gave me 27 stitches. Sounds kinda Saturn-like! IP: Logged |

Well, although I was obviously present for my birth, I don't recall much From what I heard, I was a breech birth (and 23 days late to boot, being the procrastinator that I am). I think the cord was also around my neck and so the doctor had to stick his hand up the birth canal, unravel the umbilical cord from my neck and turn me around. The Moon was in Taurus at the time (13'06) squaring Mars in Leo (I saved the drama for my Mama) and opposing Uranus in Scorpio, although the orbs for these aspects were rather loose. There was a close orb, however, of the Moon inconjunct to sneaky Neptune. IP: Logged |

well fire moons are not complication free....my daughter is a leo moon. she was 10 days late (just like me! with my pisces moon!). she was also an "emergency" c-section although i always felt the emergency was a need for space in a VERY crowded labor ward!!she also has moon in a t-square(again like me) in the 12th(to match my pisces moon??). though my pregnancy was easy and i was not upset until the actual cesarean, the drugs (epidural only) and feeling of betrayal (by the hospital for rushing me) had me in a very neptunian state for some time afterward. I had an emergency c-section and was in the hospital for 5 days. Everyone ended up fine. That date was March 2 1:51 am 2000, I don't know what the moon was doing, but I know what I was doing! My mom brags on her delivery with me, I am a pisces moon. She just got done frosting my dad's birthday cake and her water broke. She drove herself to the hospital and "spit me out like a watermelon seed" She likes to tell me that to make me feel bad about my horrible birthing experience.

Thanks for all of your replies I find it so interesting to see how the aspects can be tied into the labour. Id like to look into the aspects of my sons birth more to see what else was going on there besides the moons influence. I had a horrible time and caused a fit until they agreed to release me a day early :O I couldnt get out of the hospital fast enough, I found it such a cold and overwhelming experience. Although like most people Ive never been a fan of hospitals in the first place!IP: Logged |
