hi everyone,

i'll keep it short and simple: transitting pluto is almost opposite my natal venus in the 8th house.

so as a somewhat plutonian person i was wondering about all the possible meanings for this aspect?

thanks for any help.

Dramatic, clearing out the old values and replacing them with something healthier. A time when the way you love (give, get, value about, desire from, etc) will be changed. A time to let go, (values, loved ones-- though not necessarily by death) and move on to a better place emotionally. Although it may not feel that way initially.
Pluto is in Capricorn so your venus must be in cancer. This then will particularly transform the way you deal with women. And love in terms of past emotions that now need dealt with.
I have found that the best way to side step pluto's somewhat rude and disrupting manifestation in my life has been to be preemptive and to consciously dig through the the muck of emotions, etc and be brutally honest with what or who needs to go and make the break willingly (though not easily).
With scorpio rising this shouldn't be unfamiliar stuff. Scorpions are known to regularly transform areas of their life.

I've been going through the same transit for a while. Let me just quote Robert Hand's: Planets in Transit-

quote:
This transit can have a variety of effects on the relationship in your life. Sexual relationships in particular are very strongly affected, because both Venus and Pluto are connected with sex, although in different ways.

If you do not have an important existing relationship in your life now, this transit may very well bring one. But you must observe certain cautions about any relationship that begins at this time.

In some cases a relationship may end under this transit, because it is not able to withstand the subconscious stresses that are set in motion. All existing relationships will undergo some kind of fundamental transformation, but this is a likely to be positive as negative, if the two of you are willing to be honest with each other. Together you should confront all the issues that you need to know about and understand.

I personally think my tastes (Venus) have transformed (Pluto) during this transit, but I'm not in a relationship so maybe I would of felt the effect differently had that been the case...

I'd say it's probably going to complicate your love life, but if your Venus is in the 8th, it's possibly not a bad thing since you might be used to the complications, and it might even be a good thing since it'll bring a level of passion
