Sorry if the title's a bit misleading, but what I'm referring to is if two placements in your chart may be applied to the same situation, but are in conflict with each other. Like: my Venus is in dark, deep Scorpio, but my Descendant is in airy, detached Aquarius. I want to keep those boundaries between myself and a person I consider a partner, but my Scorpio Venus wants to get in there, probe, and claim what's 'rightfully mine'. It gets really difficult to decide my course of action. Does anyone have any advice for this kind of situation? IP: Logged |

I have a similar problem. My Venus is also in Scorpio, so is my 7th house cusp. But my Moon is in Aries...AND it's opposed by Uranus. I want/need/have to have intensity, loyalty, and depth of commitment. But I NEED my space. For the love of god. Please. lol. And I need adventure and fun. It is hard to integrate. But then I think maybe it is already integrated, actually. It's just trying to spell it out to someone that makes it difficult, or trying to define it makes it sound at odds...maybe you're not at odds. I'm only at odds when I think about it extensively. Nature isn't consistent, neither are we. We're human. What human being doesn't want SOME kind of boundary to retain individuality from time to time? I can't imagine... I guess I just answered my own question LOL...but I'm wondering if I've answered yours.

I think it's a blessing in disguise. To be able to see 2 opposing sides of a situation is really remarkable. As a person with a see-saw chart, I understand how you feel quite well. All I can say is that balance comes easier with time, but I think you need to go to both extremes first. At least I did. ------------------ Psychiatry is like the surgery of the mind IP: Logged |

Virgo rising, Gemini Sun/Moon/Mercury, with the Sun and Mercury squaring my saturn in Virgo. I am one big conflict. If anyone find the answer to balancing this, please, please, please let me know! IP: Logged |

Virgo Sun/Aries Moon Virgo Venus/Leo MarsI WISH I knew how to balance these. All my fire wants to plow right into things, whereas my earth is like: "No! Stop! That's a bad idea!" I end up being very inconsistant as a result. ------------------ Virgo Sun/Aries Moon/Scorpio Rising IP: Logged |

Try having Gemini Venus and DSC with a Scorpio moon and Taurus sun. It's pretty mind-boggling when you all ever seem to attract are men you can never actually trap and possess! lololol IP: Logged |

Pisces moon is really difficult for me. I have a lot fire in my chart, I'm very impatient (thanks to Aries Mars and IC) and independent. But I feel so conflicted constantly thanks to my Pisces moon which is sextile Neptune, Uranus and Saturn. Another factor are midpoints and where the majority are located. The majority of midpoints in my chart are in the 3rd house in Pisces (where my moon is located), and in the 5th house. I have a tendency to think about communication and daily interaction with others after the matter, like I'm re-living the interaction in my head. I take communication with others far more seriously than others, for example if I talk to someone I like, I suddenly feel like I know them just by having a conversation with them, and then always feel disapointed because it was just a light and casual conversation to them, when it was far more to me (this explains the conflicting issues with having Gemini Venus with a Leo Sun in the intense 8th house). ------------------ Sun - Leo Moon - Pisces Ascendant - Sagittarius IP: Logged |

Thats an interesting question Asterisk. I have to agree with VirgoMask I imagine since you are already aware of the conflict you must be learning to integrate them. Because from the very moment you are aware of an imbalance consciously, subconsciously your going to start reacting differently to it. That is the whole basis for Awareness. Because now that energy can be used for good. Instead of being blindly wielded oblivious to its various components..and outcomes of the applications. Who doesn't want the ability to see a situation from 2 different angles. I would say balance comes with time and experience of wielding the energy through trial and error and figuring out how your particular blend helps you navigate your life path successfully. Its interesting stuff though. I personally have an Fire Sun and Moon. With a Water, ASC, Mercury, and Venus.. makes for a lot of hott steam I guess..... lol ------------------ Scorpio Rising Moon in Sag Aries Sun IP: Logged |

Yes! That's what I think makes it so hard for people to find partners that are compatible with them. It takes decades to find the right person. You need someone who can deal with (or even come to like) those quirks in you, and vice versa. Your replies are all very insightful. izodesmozina, I like the idea of having to go from one extreme to the other to find that balance. It sounds real to me. Of course, as a Libran, balancing becomes part of my daily ritual. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your kind comments. I totally agree with you. We must totally be ourselves in relationships good or bad. To deny any part is have it thrown back in our face somehow, how can you stay on your life path if you are denying parts of yourself that make you whole? It doesnt matter if those parts are good or bad, they make up you. Thats why soulmate relationships are such a catalyst for change. And when you are ready for the next step the Universe will make sure that person is there, not a moment to soon and not a moment to late. IP: Logged |

That's very encouraging. Denying a part of ourselves usually manifests as projection, is that right? Complicates life all the more. Incompatable placements or not, self-acceptance is so important... IP: Logged |

It is... and so many people that I come into contact with in day to day life, seem to live a life that lacks self acceptance. I have the example of that with myself. Somethings that I used to do and say in relationships now seem so obsurd to me. Its was like I was different person, and it was because I was soooo unconscious. But in some form or another all those projections always came back to slap me in the face, lol. At least now I am more aware, but I still find my ego allowing fear to creep into my emotions. I hope you don't mind me asking, but are you single right now Asterisk?IP: Logged |

The worst thing that can ever happen is to become stuck in a projection. The most unhappy people I know are caught in endless cycles, and from what I can see, it gets pretty nasty. I would definitely not want my past coming back over and over again. Like you, I've definitely had fear involved in my emotions. Venus square Saturn can abuse, but it can also manifest as people abandoning you in your relationships, which I've definitely experienced. I'm single, but my heart belongs to someone. It's the first time in a while that I'm considering throwing myself out there again and being completely vulnerable to him. IP: Logged |

I've known him for over a year, now. The funny thing is, he grated on my nerves very easily in the beginning. I felt that he was attempting to get much too involved in the relationship I was in (me + ex) when I first met him. But it's strange now. It was hard for me to accept that I had feelings for him when I started to realize it. This was happening well after my former relationship. (lol) And now that these feelings won't go away, I'm just going to accept it. I'm in love. IP: Logged |

Hey Aste*risk! What's the rest of your chart like? I have the same placements as you.. Venus in Scorpio with an Aquarius Descendant. (I also have Sun in Sag opposite Moon in Gemini - talk about inner conflict :P) I totally get what you're saying.. the last long-term relationship I was in I pretty much favoured one part of myself, only to have lost touch with the rest of me! Since we broke up I've been trying to recover all of the pieces! Do you tend to feel a certain way one day, and then the total opposite the next? IP: Logged |

wow, what a lot of wisdom on this thread! i've been pondering the nature of projection a lot lately and have come to the same basic conclusion; anything you fear in yourself is drawn into your life to be dealt with and you can either learn from it, or you fight and perpetuate it, which is kinda what projection is, i think. not that we're responsible for others' behaviours, but they wouldn't be in our lives if they weren't teaching us, and their behaviour wouldn't bother us if we'd made peace with it in ourselves. well this is the thought i'm working with but i think it's more complex than that.my chart is kinda weird. a LOT of fixed energy going on and no cardinal except for my pluto. so all the fixed stuff (sun, moon, chiron, mercury, mars, jupiter, uranus) is sort of at odds with the other fixed stuff, the Tsquare, and i find i have to be really careful because all that fixed energy makes me feel like doing absolutely NOTHING until i've figured everything out (other than daily life stuff). it's like i'm trying to resolve all of the different energies BEFORE i do anything. guess that is a lack of cardinality too. as for my self in relationships, i have aquarius sun, sag rising and venus, gem dc, so you'd think my approach to relationships is all about fun and whimsey and intellectual rapport.. it's so true, but i also have taurus moon in the 4th exactly opposed scorpio uranus, and my NN and saturn are in the 8th, and my SN is in pisces, so really deep down i'm very romantic and possessive and in this lifetime i'm supposed to learn to really let go and have a deep and thorough intimacy, but my aqua and sag stuff makes me feel all bouncy and like i want to keep things silly all the time, and when things start to get deep, my brain gets confused and if i don't just turn it off and let go into my feelings, i get anxious. i'm involved with a scorpio moon with venus aqua though, so he's kind of similar in that respect and most of the time we are on the same page and adapt to one another and sometimes we're all about the silly, sometimes we're very deep and intimate, so thank goodness for that! he also has a lot of cardinality, which helps a lot and breaks me out of stagnation.

Wow, shirty, we do have a lot alike. I have a Libra Sun opposite Aries Moon. Strange placements to integrate. I can be very inconsistent. I do something one day and it's complete and total opposite the next. A walking contradiction, lol.heart cakes - I've got plenty of cardinal and fixed in my chart. Only my Jupiter is in mutable Virgo (the last degree, too). I don't remember the last time I finished a project. This is my chart. IP: Logged |
