does anyone here have experience or life-to-tell story of how they have been with Money/finance with Mars in the Second house?

i read this description, its pretty accurate about my life so far lol, but i don't wanna be adverse to money!

"When the Mars is in the second house the native will have less wealthand less education also. This person will use his initiating force to increase primarily his earning powers and general source of supply. The presence of Mars in the second house indicates the native must fight to get the money that is due him from his labors. Usually all malefic planets in the second are adverse for wealth. "
http://www.gotohoroscope.com/planet-in-houses-mars.html

bollox, i just realized i have sun in the II (another "malefic" planetoid in the second)

shud i move onto the street now?

well actually im not sure, my sun is technically in house 1, but interpreted in house 2 (cusp business?) i guess if u look at the housing system as "black and white" my sun is in house 1, i read the description of that, it seemed very accurate about me, but then agn sun in the second seemed a little accurate too, maybe its a piece of both pies.

When i saw your pic I thought you were a student. Are you?

Even if that stuff is real, it doesnt or shouldn't really matter, men make money money dont make men, so focus on your education because through it you will go places and make money.

Your loving dad, VirgOh LOL

I have Mars in Aquarius in the 2nd house.

quote:
"When the Mars is in the second house the native will have less wealth and less education also.

NOT True. I have an A.S. in Liberal Studies, I'm about to get a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Marketing, and I'm going on for a Masters in International Communication as well as another Bachelor's in Political Science and an A.S. in Philosophy. Less education my ass!

Frankly, this has nothing to do with education. Mars is energy, and the 2nd house is finances and property. If anything, there may be a tendency for personal property to become damaged through clumsy or stupid accidents. I'm rough with my things, I know this. The 2nd house is a physical house. Mars is a very physical planet.

I have Capricorn on the 2nd cusp, with Saturn in the 12th. Even when times are tight, I have access to money if I absolutely need to, or I have some kind of back-up support. What this does influence (personally) is a tendency to constantly fear that I won't have enough. I am terribly afraid of poverty (my parents were both raised dirt poor), therefore I am very passionate and work very hard and fight! very hard over my property, finances and posessions.

At the very least, this combination:

Mars in the 2nd house sextile Saturn (2nd house ruler) in the 12th.

Has taught me that money and earnings come through hard work and nothing is handed to you, that's all. The 2nd house is also values. What do you "value"? That's physical and non-physical.

Wherever you read this quote from is a crock, so fatalistic and untrue. The truth is that this placement can manifest in hundreds of different ways.

--You could earn money quickly, but spend it quickly too
--Earn money through the sheer motivation to do so
--Are competitive with property
--Actively defend your self-worth
--May be seen as "physically" tough (the 2nd is sometimes used to represent the physical body)
--May be prone to ailments of the throat (Taurus house = throat)
--Are rough with your posessions
--Own weapons and artillery (I am fascinated with guns, weapons, etc.)
--Value strength, will, and motivation
--Are impulsive with your things

I always find it best to read these interps as guidelines to you finding the answer on your own. And always! take it with a grain of salt, because free-will is a huge deal, and an even larger factor.

I suppose it's true for me. I'm having to fight for my education and financial security now as I missed out on the opportunity when everyone else was attending to their education. I've also fought hard to gain self-worth and a value system for myself as it was very different to family/friends and immediate environment. I have also different opinions on these topics with mercury/uranus in this house too. I would hate to feel dominated by money so I free myself of the ideas most people follow through on to get money, like credit cards etc. I would not allow myself to be in debt.

I think people with malefics in the 2nd house can accrue fortune! But usually because they worked for it and not because they were born into it.

Lol virgoh, i am a student! i think i agree with u virgoh, i hope so. what did you study/what are you doing? are you making good moneY? (this is not a setup to be mean, its an honest question!) lol

alanabelle86, that was a great response from you, its helped me get a good understanding of how else this placement can manifest its self.

i definitely know how to spend quickly, and i also now how to save patiently (which im currently doing, i want a huge f*** off tv for christmas lol, trying to save a 1000 here on little money! )

anyway,

interesting on ur placements, iv got heavy capricorn placements in my chart i think,

my Mars is in virgo, in house 2, which is cusping leo/virgo but in Leo.

anyway my mars trines my uranus/neptune/saturn all 3 in capricorn in house 5 (end of the house)

i guess the square of the planets doesn't help any..

Yup this placement can manifest in hundreds of different ways. For me it's "make quickly, spend quickly" T__T I've been financially independent since 17. My experience with personal finance is ...hard overall. Mars makes you work to get your possessions (2nd). If you don't or are careless with spending then you get into troubles..

I have Mars in 2nd house in TAURUS opposite Pluto in 8th house. It also sextiles Sun, Moon, Mercury.

I can't help thinking about $/work everyday lolz. No I'm not obsessed. I figure if you don't work hard and become financially secure (if not rich then it'll be hard to enjoy life.

About education...I plan to get an MSc + an MBA & work in between.

Mars in 2nd House

With Mars in the Second House you are likely to exert your energy and initiative into business enterprises or other financial dealings in an active search for personal wealth. Capital is acquired through careful investment, sheer hard work and clever financial dealing. Strong-willed, determined and resourceful you enjoy a challenge and thrive on opposition. You may become a financial genius, or a mere spendthrift.

2nd house Mars in Taurus

Let me start this off with saying that an ex-boyfriend from a gazillon years ago once called me a capitalist pig saying that whenever I decided I wanted something then I just went out and got it.

Not that I appreciated being called that but he was correct in the “me want – me get” observation. Not sure why it bothered him so much as I’d never taken a dollar off him or any other partner for that matter. All my purchases have been paid for by money that I earn. I am not wealthy, nor highly educated – just an average wage earner.

Also, being a Taurean Mars there is a love of good quality and over the years I have noticed that if I decided to buy something but can’t afford ‘Model XYZ’ and settle for Model ‘ABC’ then I am unsettled at ‘not having what I really wanted’ and will eventually go back and buy ‘Model XYZ’ and give the other one away. Nowadays I am a bit more patient and will wait till I can afford what I really want (but that did take me a while to learn).

Considering that I put a lot of energy into ‘getting exactly what I want’ I do tend to be quite protective of my possessions. I will share everything I own and loan anything to a friend who needs it but if they don’t treat it with care its unlikely I will ever loan them anything again.

My Mars isn't in the 2nd house Libra I was talking in general.

I am in media marketing and still pursuing my degree in marketing and yes I am making good money thank God. All in all, nothing is easy unless you were born with a gold spoon up yer ass which I was but I gave it all up (For Love, how stupid can one be specially when it doesn't work out) and fended for myself since age 19.

So yeah, it all takes hard work and a bit of luck for sure.

i have mars in the second as well as my sun (and mercury), all conjunct. ummm, i am broke as heck but have realized that i think that relates to a mental conditioning of having to plod through and take things slowly, which is sort of a second house thing. however, i think it can grow in a slow build and that perhaps having mars in the second house can bring more resoures and money as the person gets older, since there seems to be a cautiousness built into this placement.

I'm 45 and have mars (Virgo) in the second. During my younger years I was broke- underpaid, but I worked really hard and now I am financially stable. I am well-educated and like to save. I realize the economy is a bit unstable now, but those hard years made me realize that I'm highly capable and I'm confident I can overcome any hardships that arise. Personally my gut tells me that I have quite a bit of money to earn in the future and it will happen if I put forth the effort and pay attention to what I have already earned. People with 2nd house mars are not afraid to work hard to get what they want!!!! We will outwork anyone- get our education or whatever is needed to get where we want!

Sun in the second house - think Oprah Winfrey. People with sun in the second house earn $$$$ through their own efforts unlike Sun in the 8th house folks.

Heartcakes what's with the gloom???? Sun, mercury, and mars conjunct in the second house!??? You're the only one getting in your way with that attitude! there in lots of money to be made by working hard! yes and hard work is OK and can be very rewarding in a mercurial area. What's the ruling house sign and planet's sign? Mercury is communications- design - even publishing depending on the sign.

Many people need to quit whining about poor aspects etc. and get to work! "See the Light" You're reading lies. any astrology that says gloom and doom is incorrect! All signs, planet, aspects have strengths and weaknesses and you just need to consciously choose the strengths.

I totally agree with Kat
Libra you made me go look at my chart for this, I didn't know the significance of it and thank God I have Jupiter in the 2nd which translates to:

"Jupiter is found in your second house at birth. You are a person born with much financial ground already covered for you, by your parents. You are destined to achieve a high position in life and much social success with little effort on your part. Your family, reputation, friends, and acquaintances, in a fateful interaction, are going to be decisive factors in insuring a secure and ample livelihood. In money matters, your disposition is going to be congenial, warm, kind, very sympathetic but lacking in profound concern for economics. Your inherent merits will help you establish an envied position and you will be the recipient of wealth by means of general luck and fortune."

Lacking in economics, yes I tend to live check to check I spend like a mother thank God I am single and living alone or else the wife would have jetted ages ago hahaha!!

haha kat, i KNOW!! i've just recently come to realize that it's my own HUGE mental block that is keeping me locked in financial hardship. i have been deprived since before i was born (my mom threw up everything she ate while pregnant, was beaten up while pregnant all the time and resented my existence completely and intentionally deprived and neglected me when i was out of her womb). we were SOOOO poor my entire childhood. i felt positively RICH when i was on student loans!

anyhow, yeah i have mercury and mars 11 aqua and sun 15 aqua in the second. i'm too tired to remember what a ruling house sign and planet sign are though indeed i can and do work EXTREMELY hard and i agree with you i know what it is to overcome and that we will survive. i'm just recently starting to realize that my horizons may be brighter than i've always felt entitled to..

Heartcakes If you put forth the effort you will eventually shock yourself as to how far you will go. Good job in seeing that prosperity exists for you!!!
