Alot of imformation I find tells about the aspect of Sun conjunct/trine/sextile/square Sun. When I am considering these interpretations...is it safe to substitute Sun for Asendant? For example....his sun,moon,mercury and venus conjunct my ascendant...when reading Linda Goodman's relationship signs...can i read Sun, moon, mercury and venus conjunct my Sun? Is this a safe bet?

Here's my take on it.
But first WOW! How lucky you are to have a guy who has those planets on your ASC. You are exactly what he is looking for.
Anyway you can, but it is slightly different. In that the Ascendant show physical attraction more so than the sun.
Also for example you would read his moon conjunct your sun (really being your Asc.); with the sun and moon this is a great indicator of compatibility, one of the best. But where the impact is mutually beneficial with sun/moon, with moon/asc he will be more the one making an impact on your life.
With all the stuff to Asc (instead of sun) he will have an impact on your 1st house--your immediate sphere of experience. Much more personal than the sun.
Also it may be that the connection is less about common goals and expression,etc... and more about the physical attraction.
But I'm nit picking......(it's the virgo in me).

Actually goodgirl...I must really be lucky...cuz my moon conjuncts his ascendant too...Within 26 minutes..less than one degree. So I am also having an impact on HIM...right? I HOPE so!! hehe.

Then you have a double whammy and should read the thread posted called "Twin Flame and Soul Mate Astrology", I was just scrolling through it.
This is especially relevant to you because a conjunct is a focal point when it is found in the charts, and the moon rules the past (as in past lives/soul mates).
So yes you have the same influence on him.
Wow! What a great set of planetary connections you two have---I'm soooo jealous!
