and i'm trying to figure out how to deal with it!!i'm an aquarius and we are supposed to be very compatible, being in sextile. but i feel like our energies are soooo different. aquarius defaults to analyzing and has sort of a live and let live vibe thing and aries is kinda.. uh.. bossy and selfish sometimes. when i get rubbed by an aries i try to remind myself they can't help it but i find i'm (mentally, privately) feeling defensive around them, cuz they jump to conclusions in a snap. course it doesn't help that aquarius is so darn strange, and aries seem to take things at face value, and i find they often interpret things rashly and immediately without giving things much thought (unlike aquarius). so! how the heck are these two compatible and i'm wondering if anyone else feels this disconnect and/or has advice? i do find their courage and action-orientation very admirable, though, i must say, and inspiring. it's just, the dynamic between the two tends to feel muddled and a bit disorienting. Aqua/Aries - I find it rocky, but ultimately we still get on.I had an Aqua friend in high school and we had some arguments. I remember one particular one when we were shopping. She went into the changing room (it was a small shop with one changing room only). Out of the blue she *literally* starts throwing all of her clothes out around the shop. The shop assistant and I, had to basically pick everything up, as she kept randomly throwing things out and laughing. We had tiffs over things like that - when she did something completely unexpected which ticked me off.. or when I did something that appeared anti-social to her. You know it might be the Uranus/Mars mix. It's definitely explosive! IP: Logged |

I think Aries/Aqua only works if the guy is Aquarius and the girl Aries...I am aries moon/venus etc and my guy is aquarius sun/moon we are beautiful together! IP: Logged |

I think Aries tends to rub everyone the wrong way from time to time, especially the boys Coral's got a point though, about the Mars/Uranus thing. That's electricity right there, and I think the two know how to push each other's buttons as well...for better or worse Also, look at the rising and moon sign too. Could be other sources of tension. If you watch the show Boston Legal, the male stars are Aquarius and Aries. In general, I tend to see them getting along. IP: Logged |

My parents are an Aries (dad) and an Aquarius (mom). They have their little explosive fights, but they both seem to bounce back quickly (provided some sort of compromise or solution is worked out; if not, they both continue to seethe quietly about whatever the problem is). I would say that my mom does gets defensive, but because my Aries dad is pretty quick to be accusatory or to believe that he is right, it's understandable. I have an Aries Moon, so when he does that to me, I don't get defensive and try to protect myself, I'll just go right back at him and hurt his Cancer Moon feelings with a Virgoan critical comment and then walk off in a huff. I hate being expected to believe that whatever he thinks is always "right" especially if it's just an opinion on something arbitrary. (On the whole though, I actually enjoy Aries). My friend is an Aqua and he loves Aries, but finds that they don't usually want a relationship with him. I think it is a disconnect somewhere in the translation of his air (he's got a Gemini Moon too) and so while the Aries love to pursue him, once they actually get to know him, they think he's a little too off for their tastes. ------------------ Virgo Sun/Aries Moon/Scorpio Rising IP: Logged |

The Aries flame heats the Aquarian air, making it grow... the Aquarian air blows and furthers the Aries flame...Traditionally compatible, yes, but they do feed eachother's energies quite efficently. My daughter is an Aqua sun and her bfriend an Aries sun...explosive fights, heated arguments, long nights disagreeing...but in the end, an intrinsic complimentary energy that neither can seem to get away from. My Sun and Mars are Aries, my Venus and Moon are Gemini.I have never been attracted to Aquarius Suns, though 3 out of 4 long term relationships have been with Aquarius Venus signs. Perhaps my Uranus on Asc helps relate a bit as it gives my personality an Aquarian flavor. IP: Logged |

ahh.. i've been thinking about it more and i think my issue with aries energy is actually my own jealousy for the most part. i am heavily taurus/2nd house and EVERYTHING for me is rumination, patience, thinking things through, blah blah blah, but i think it's actually jealousy at the aries ability to act on their instincts. apparently pluto transiting through my 1st house is teaching me this, and i guess i've been feeling a bit off kilter when that energy is in my face. my roommates are an aries and an aries moon (mother and son, son is a few years younger than me and i'm friends with both) and like someone mentioned above, they kinda go at it with one another in this weird way, that i can tell has been a dynamic for a while. i actually LOVE both of them, but i really (REALLY) need my space and i find with both of them their energy is so "them", instinctive, that it fills up the entire space and their presumptions or notions about things are an immediate sort of energetic imprint and i'm finding it a bit clausterphobic, i guess, in that i'm not fast enough or direct enough to keep up in that sort of pattern, and it has been kind of draining me. i think it drains me because i feel like often they will jump to conclusions if i don't explain myself thoroughly, and much of it seems to be weird silly things that have been taken personally that i did *not* intend that way at all, that no one else takes personally in the kind of ways aries does. a little tangeant here, but it makes me think about the nature of projection because they will take really weird things personally and get snappish and judgemental, but it's cuz they think I'M judging them, which i wasn't at all!my last roommate was also an aries stellium and another thing i'm finding out about them is that they sort of like a lot of company and/or attention and if you want space they take it personally and seem to somehow conclude you don't like them. or something like that.. so i'm trying to find a balance there. cuz yeah i love them other than this, and i'm actually really in awe of that impulsive energy and wish i could actually DO that without thinking so darn much about everything! I'm a gemini and I get this with virgos. I swear they get on my last nerve or something theres just something that just rubs me up the wrong way.I feel really irritated around them. I have a lot of co workers who are virgo........I don't usually know their sign at first, but usually realise they're virgo at some point LOL. Also leo's seem to be annoying me lately which is strange as I have a Leo ascendant. Also don't understand the virgo thing either as I have mars jupiter and saturn there. IP: Logged |

lara, the stellium woman was a cancer moon, so i think that accounted for the insecurity.gosh dani, i kinda have that with virgo too! virgo and aries are the hardest for me to understand. my saturn and NN are in virgo so i think it's a resistance thing with that one. they both kinda have a bluntness about them that i find startling, but like i said, i think, for myself it's jealousy! Dani, I sympathize with you man. Being a Gem alone in a room full of Virgo's is not a healthy thing by all means, I kinda feel the same when I walk into a room with say 8 Gems in it becausue then the Multiple Personality Disorder (16 Mercurial Gems) is really visible and intense so I end up throwing a curve ball at them with an evil smile and have em go at it as I retreat silently.LOL@ heart cakes. Jealousy? Of what? So what's the verdict? Does Aries give a good rub now or what? IP: Logged |

OH virgoh.like i said, it's cuz i am so friggin patient i drive myself bonkers! well my moon is in taurus and my SN is in the 2nd, along with sun, mercury and mars (in aqua) so i'm like Rumination Queen. i think this is why on the one hand i find it kind of frustrating (since i just 'evolved' from aries energy), and on the other it feels like a giant party i wasn't invited to, where everyone gets to speak their mind and run around a lot. haha i dunno. i dunno! it's a puzzle to me too, virgoh. i just don't know what in the world has been bugging me about aries lately, or why. i think it must be pluto transiting my first.
