WÓW, look at that symmetry!
All planets except for Uranus and Neptune are involved, it`s all interconnected.
Somehow appropriate of the queen of gods and goddesses.
And it is no surprise that Juno is about connections herself (be it the committed ones or sexual ones as the Magi believe).

Look at that exact opposition of Sun and Pluto - wasn`t Juno also about power?

Also, the square from Saturn / Mercury to Mars - the masculine needs to be structured and maybe a bit contained?
Mars is also in Cancer in its fall.

And the Moon-Venus conjunctin in Leo seems to really emphasise the feminine principle, it is square Jupiter - the feminine needs to be strenghtened and expanded, even if it is just TOO much?

I also had a look at the Eros discovery chart

Interesting:

SEe the Mars-Pluto-conjunction in Gemini

Eros in Aquarius is on the antiscia of Psyche in Scorpio (I always found antiscia connection very significant in soulmate-connections and this seems to confirm this theory of mine. Thank you, Eros discovery chart! )

Also interesting Eros in its own discovery chart falls into Aquarius, AND there is a Karma-Uranus-conjunction.

There is also a True Node-Valentine-conjunction, indicating "true love", as IQ said.

There is a Sun in Leo and a Moon in Cancer at home. An emphasis on the masculine as well as the feminine?
Venus is in Libra in her own sign, too.
Mars is in Gemini, not in his own sign, but conjunct Pluto, and there is definitely a connection between Mars and Pluto.

Well, I think we can`t look at Eros without looking at his soulmate Psyche.

So here it is.

Isn`t it a beautiful chart?

Again there is an aspect between Eros and Psyche, this time a trine. And Psyche actually falls close to her own position in the Eros-discovery chart.

Psyche also trines Amor, which is another name of Eros (to see their difference maybe I should look next at the discovery charts of Cupid and Amor, too).

There is a Sun-Venus-Valentine-conjunction on the Aries point - this chart is about love.

Karma conjunct Eros and Amor and trines Psyche - again the strong interconnection between those three.

The NN conjuncts Mercury and Neptune - a sign that Psyche is not just the soulmate but also about psychic intuitive almost telpathic connections?
NN also trines Psyche of this chart.

In the Amor discovery chart, there is Moon and Venus in Taurus in their exaltation and domicile, hence emphasising the feminine aspect.

Moon conjuncts Chiron - emotional healing?

Sun, Eros and Mars are in Pisces (Eros conjunct Mars) - a sign that the masculine is not so masculine, but more compassionate and intuitive?

Amor himself is in Virgo, neither a very masculine nor a VERY feminine sign (even though of course it leans towards the feminine side more) - is this the sign that Amor is not so much about sexuality but about intimacy and a rather warm, comfort-oriented, tender and compassionate exchange of energies or emotions?

True Node is also in Pisces opposing Amor in Virgo.

Could you start an own topic for your composite? Cause I`d like this topic to be about the discovery charts and their interpretations and if they represent the symbolism we apply to the asteroids.

HOwever, what do you mean? What is it similiar, too?
The only thing that I see is similiar is that you also have a Kite configuration?

BTW how would you interprete the Juno-chart, if it was a person?

DD,

awesome insights. yes..looking at asteroids in Discovery can give good clues to an object's meaning. That's why I did that with both Eris and Sedna.

I checked Hera in Juno's discovery chart. After all, Hera is Juno's Greek counterpart. Juno was actually based on Hera.

using noon

Hera in 5'59 Libra (sign of relationships, partnerships)
conjunct Mercury - 2'30 - communications
conjunct Saturn - 2'45 - commmitment
sextile Venus - 1'48 - relating
square Mars - 1'49 - passion
trine/sextile Lunar Nodes - 1'23 - destiny,future,past as well as connections,associations

Glaucus,

actually it was you who inspired me to look at the discovery chart.

Looking at your list of aspects to Hera it definitely seems about commitment, too, even though passion may also play a role (square Mars).

This is absolutely amazing DD!! Those charts are indeed beautiful. Thank you for your insights on these asteroids. There is a sense of power in the charts of these asteroids when I compare them to some of my own charts - and you already know how I feel about Juno!!

Well done DD, and thanks for your interpretations!!

Koi,

yes, I also noticed some strong cross aspects from my natal chart to the discovery charts (for example: in the Eros chart Eros is conjunct my natal Psyche!). I guess there must be a reason why I chose the asteroids I chose.

I recently read the interpretation on Sappho, that it represents pure sexual attraction,w ithout romantic overtones, and I just couldn`t believe it.
Cause it just is so contrary to what Sappho represents, the great Greek poetess, who were in love with love, loving young women as well as young men, and who expressed her feelings of love in passionate, refined poetry.

However, according to her Discovery chart of Sappho:

Sun exactly conjuncts Pluto in Taurus
sextile Mars and Chiron in Pisces

Moon in Pisces trine Jupiter in Scorpio

Sappho herself in Sagittarius (conjunct my Mars and ASC and Amor, lol)
opposing Mercury in Gemini
- representing t he elegance of her words?

Sappho sextiles Psyche and squares Karma

Sappho also trines Neptune in Aries

There is an Aphrodite-Eros-conjunction in Leo, which trines Neptune and sextiles Valentine

Venus on the Sabian (The gate to the garden of all fulfilled desires :laughing
trines Juno and sextiles Uranus, thus softening the Juno-Uranus-opposition

To me this seems to relate more to passion containing an element of fantasy or creativity, but not necessarily sexual attraction in a pure biological sense.
What do you think?

Hey DD, if an asteroid usually plays prominently in my natal or synastries, would it make sense to compare by natal to the discovery chart? For example, compare my natal to the discovery of all those you listed here?

Juno is usually very prominent in my serious synastries. Eros is conjunct my Sun and Mercury in my natal. And lately I have been noticing that Psyche has been popping up a lot lately in my synastries.

------------------
Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚
Gemini Sun 24˚
Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house)
Gemini Mercury 25˚
Cancer Venus 29˚
And yes, i'm a guy!

how would you interprete the Juno-chart, if it was a person?

Venus/Moon - deeply emotional lover with powerful ideals. Would die for love and become reborn as a Healer and Soul Love to their lover.

Mars/Jupiter/Valentine - attraction to an ideal partner that fits like Yin to Yang on spiritual and physical plane. Can complete a sense of Joy to themselves and their lover.

Mars/Venus/Jupiter - locks in powerful emotions to the comfort or discomfort of Object of their Desire.

Saturn/Mercury - cognitizes to make sense of their powerful emotions. Aware of the emotional surge and keeping actions in check through intellectual focus.

Sun/Pluto - another manifestation of deep spiritual emotions swirling inside while the outer appearance is using a Virgoan strength to remain calm and composed. An inner sense of equality over a broad horizon of thought and feeling. Understanding the potential of power, yet harnassing this energy with an inner battle to keep ones autonomy from being dislodged.

Juno the person, recognises a soul connection and becomes excited. Depending on the recognition from the other party, Juno will ponder, think and analyze a method to initiate the connection.

Juno is a powerful deep lover but the ability to serve this tremendous energy is subject to the receptiveness of the Object of Desire. Juno isn't foolish and will keep their dignity if feelings are not returned. However, they never forget the potential to share a great Love, and will use this knowledge to transform into deeper emotional/spiritual inner realms.

GG,

yes, I think it could be interesting to compare your natal to the discovery charts; it should shed some light on what the asteroids mean to you personally.

I also have noticed strong Juno, Eros and Psyche-connections in my synastries.

But Juno is exactly trine my Saturn and sextile my nameasteroid (both aspects with an orb of 0°01 and 0°02°!).

Eros is exactly conjunct my Vertex and opposing my Sun-Moon-mp exactly. And I guess where ther eis Eros, there will be Psyche, too

(Psyche sextiles my Sun and Mercury and conjuncts the asteroid "Talent" in my chart).

Koi,

wow I am stunned! Brilliant interpretation.
I agree with the interpretation of the aspect-configurations and it probably means that Juno is far more than we have given her credit for. She`s not only a significator of commitment and marriage, but of a commitment with depth!
But not necessarily with the romanticism that Venus-Neptune can sometimes bring.
It`s like she focuses heart, mind, body and soul onto the relationship; thus she is maybe the archetype of the "mature soulmate"? Would you agree? Or is that too far off the mark?

EDIT: The Neptune - ASC wouldn`t be valid, as I don`t know the exact minute or hour when Juno was discovered. So we have to ignore the angles. And of course it means that Moon can move a bit away from Venus (but not more than 6° I think).

I LOVE that description of mature soulmate. I can see why, as my Juno contacts with others (depending on the aspect) gives me a destined feel - of which Destiny has a growth component to it.

Juno's Karma is conjunct my Asc 3°
Juno's North Node is conjunct my Juno 3°
Juno's Psyche is conjunct my Valentine/MC 4°/6°
Juno's Juno conjunct my Ceres 0°
Juno's Eros conjunct my Adonis 0°
Juno's Adonis conjunct my Vertex 0°
Juno's Sappho/Sun/Pluto square my Sappho 0°
Juno's Ceres trine my Sappho 0°

No wonder Juno shines a light on my soul connections and adds that undercurrent of tension with other women (in a nice way )

I'm going to take a look at Sappho's chart later today. Of course, Sappho plays a part in my life, too

PS - Nept/Asc gone now!!

I like this topic! Juno is a very intriguing subject for me too. I noticed in her chart that Mars is also slightly out of bounds (23'39) which is sort of interesting. Especially since, as DD mentioned, Mars is in Cancer.

In looking at the synastry between me and Juno I noticed that I have Juno's Sun conjunct my Juno and my Sun squaring Juno's Juno. Ha! There's also a Sun square Mercury double whammy, a Moon sextile Pluto double whammy, a Venus/Saturn hard aspect double whammy, a soft Venus Pluto double whammy, a hard Venus/Chiron double whammy, a Pluto/ Mercury double whammy, a Karma/Juno double whammy...I guess I'll stop now since there are alot.

Well, that explains a whole bunch about my relationship to Juno. I can't say I'm surprised though.

This was a good idea. I think I'll have a look at Psyche now.

Also of note:

Psyche's chart has a stationary direct Juno.

Both Psyche and Eros have stationary direct Saturns!!! What's the chance of that??

One cool thing I noticed in my charts with both Psyche and Eros is that my NN is conjunct Psyche in both. Psyche in my own chart exactly conjuncts my personal name asteroid (as well as Ceres and POF) in the 3rd House in Cancer. I've almost finished my degree in psychotherapy and previously got degrees in psychology and criminology. I definitely have always felt a connection with asteroid Psyche in my synastry with others but also felt it very strongly in my own chart. It feels a bit validating to see it in both charts conjunct my NN.

Thanks for the great topic DD Totally fascinating.

when i looked at the juno chart i thought "what a lovely kite" then the eros chart reminded me of an archer's bow, fittingly; and the psyche kite being on its side is a bow AND arrow...considering the cupid legends it makes perfect sense regardless of the placements, which make even more sense!!

thanks dd...

I just looked up the Aphrodite-discvery chart.

Aprhodite is a Libra, Sun on on 00 Libra. lol

Cupido is a Libra, too. just one day after Aphrodite, but diff. year, so Sun on about 01 Libra.

Sappho is a Taurus (Sun conjunct Pluto).

ERos is a Leo.

Amor and Psyche are both Pisces.
