Is there an inability to enjoy sensual pleasures? This is what I read in many descriptions.

I don't think so.

it would also depend on what else is in the chart.

that's why I don't believe in cookbook interps which are just mainly supposed to be guidelines for how planetary placements, aspects work.

you always to consider the whole chart and not just part of the chart.

Saturn in 5th has so many possible manifestations that fit Saturn in 5th

like my mom has it

she was very strict with me, restricted me a lot, very controlling with me. She had responsibilities in regards to me

that's how Saturn in 5th can be being strict, controlling, serious with children as well as responsibilities involving children.

I have Moon square Saturn which indicate a strict, controlling, serious mother.

she also had older romantic partners like my father was 13 years older than her. She has Capricorn on 7th, and so Saturn is her 7th house ruler. She has Mars in Capricorn in 7th sextile Saturn in 5th.

as you see, aspects to a house placement can give a good idea of what kind of way that placement can manifest.

she's never been into cartoons, and so maybe that's her Saturn in 5th too.

there can be many things that fit the symbolisms of Saturn in 5th

"Cookbook" interpretations are a *starting point*, not the be-all, end-all of astrological interpretation.

Do you really think it's possible that approximately 1/12th of the population of the world (with Saturn in their natal 5th) *cannot* enjoy any kind of sensual pleasures because of the position of an orbiting ball of gas/rock/ice in the sky??

I have a Gemini friend with Saturn in the 5th. Not only is she a fabulous cook and loves food, but she had a happy marriage with all the physical fireworks in the bedroom that anyone could wish for.

It's not that I believe it. I'm just asking for opinions.
